THE ORIGIN
OF ASTROLOGY
Sage Bhrigu(One among the Saptrishis) once sought to discover which
of the three supreme Lords—Brahma, Shiva, or Vishnu—was the most
compassionate. Traveling in his astral body, he first visited Brahma,
who was deep in meditation and ignored him. Next, he approached
Shiva, who became furious at being disturbed. Finally, he visited
Vishnu, who welcomed him with warmth and patience.

Determined to confirm his findings, Bhrigu traveled in his physical

body to Vishnu's earthly abode, Kshirasagara—a paradise of lush
gardens, vibrant wildlife, and serene beauty. Despite Lakshmi’s
warning not to disturb the resting Vishnu, Bhrigu arrogantly entered
his chamber and struck Vishnu on the chest with his foot.

Instead of anger, Vishnu smiled and asked gently, “What brings you
here in such haste?” Overwhelmed by Vishnu’s grace, Bhrigu realized
he was the most compassionate of all and apologized.

But Lakshmi, enraged by Bhrigu’s disrespect, cursed him and his

descendants, vowing that wealth would never favor the Brahmins.
Bhrigu, humbled yet resourceful, used his wisdom to create the Bhrigu
Samhita, an ancient text of astrology that brought prosperity to his
lineage through knowledge and service. That is how astrology
originated and brahmins earned money.

Generations later, Bhrigu’s son, Mrikanda, invoked Lakshmi’s

forgiveness, reminding her that merit, not birth, should determine
one’s blessings and invoked Verse 7 of sri suktam (A hymn of goddess
Lakshmi)
 उपैतु मां देवसखः कीर्ति श्च मणिना सह ।
प्रादुर्भूतोऽस्मि राष्ट्रे ऽस्मिन् कीर्ति मृद्धिं ददातु मे ॥

(“May the friend of the gods, along with fame and fortune,
approach me. Having manifested in this land, may they
bestow fame and prosperity upon me.”)

The story of Bhrigu teaches us humility, the power of

forgiveness, and the importance of actions over
entitlement.

Another Rishi Called Nandikeshwar Rishi , wrote Nandi Nadi

, his issue was the people who came to him didn't have
time of birth People who came to Nandikeshwar Rishi didn’t
have Time of Birth, so without it Lagna would change and
Moon’s Degree can change which would change Dasha ,
So we don’t use Dasha and Lagna in BNN.

INTRODUCTION TO
VEDIC ASTROLOGY
In this book, we will focus on the North Indian chart, as
depicted in the diagram below. When analyzing a North
Indian chart, three key elements must be considered:
houses, rashis (signs), and planets. Every astrological chart,
or horoscope, consists solely of these three components.
There are 12 houses, 12 rashis, and 9 planets. Let's break
down each of these concepts.
UNDERSTANDING HOUSES
In the diagram below, you can see that the topmost
diamond-shaped box(Highlighted with red) is labeled "1st
House." This represents the first house.1st House is called
Lagna or Ascendant in Astrology, it represents Your body,
mind , self, Moving counterclockwise/Anticlockwise, we
encounter the second house, then the third, and so on until
we have identified all 12 houses. An important aspect of
traditional Vedic astrology is that these houses remain fixed
in their positions. Regardless of whether it's your horoscope,
mine, or someone else's, the first house will always occupy
the topmost diamond-shaped box, the second house will
always be counterclockwise from it, and so forth.
PRECAUTIONS
FOR RUDRAKSHA
Purity: Ensure that the Rudraksha beads are authentic
and pure. Impure or fake beads may not carry the same
energy.

Maintenance: Clean your Rudraksha regularly with water

and oil it occasionally to maintain its potency and
longevity.

Proper Wearing: Rudraksha should be worn after proper

rituals and prayers, preferably in the morning. Some
people follow astrological recommendations for wearing
specific types.

Avoid Unholy Places: Rudraksha should not be worn in

places considered impure or unholy, such as during
funerals or while consuming alcohol or non-vegetarian
food.
CHARACTERISTICS
OF EACH HOUSES:
1. First House (Ascendant/Lagna):
This is your identity house. It represents your
personality, appearance, and overall nature. It's like
your first impression on others.

2. Second House:
This house is about your family, finances, and speech.
It represents your wealth, possessions, and how you
communicate. Think of it as your "money box."

3. Third House:
This is the house of communication, courage, and
short journeys. It represents your writing, speaking,
and bravery. It's like your "messenger" house.

4. Fourth House:
This house deals with home, mother, and comfort. It
represents your roots, family life, and emotional
security. Think of it as your "home sweet home" house.

5. Fifth House:
This house is about creativity, romance, and children.
It represents your love life, hobbies, and children. It's
like your "fun and games" house.

6. Sixth House:
This house deals with health, routine, and service. It
represents your daily routine, health issues, and work.
It's like your "work and wellness" house.
7. Seventh House:
This house is about partnerships and marriage. It
represents your spouse, relationships, and public
image. It's like your "partner in life" house.

8. Eighth House:
This house deals with transformation, research, and
secrets. It represents changes, hidden things, and
longevity.

9. Ninth House:
This house is about higher learning, travel, and
spirituality.

10. Tenth House:

This house deals with career, reputation, and social
status. It represents your profession, achievements,
and public image.

11. Eleventh House:

This house is about friends, gains, and aspirations. It
represents your hopes, and social connections.

12. Twelfth House:

This house deals with losses, isolation, and spirituality.
UNDERSTANDING RASHIS
We've now understood what houses are. Now, let's
understand Rashis.

Rashis, also known as Zodiac signs in English, are

constellations or groups of stars that actually exist in the
sky. If you search for "Aries constellation" on Google, you'll
see a pattern of stars.

Rashis are completely different from houses. Don't confuse

them!
These numbers don't represent houses. They represent
Rashis.The Rashi that is rising on the eastern horizon at the
time of your birth is called the Ascendant, Rising Sign, or
Lagna in Vedic Astrology. In simple words , it depends on the
position of the Sun in the Sky and Latitude and Longitude of
your birth place.

Since we have 24 hours in a day and 12 Rashis, a different

Rashi rises in the first house every 2 hours.
I hope you understand Rashis now.

There are 12 Rashis, starting from Aries and ending with

Pisces. Each Rashi has a number: Aries is 1, Taurus is 2,
Gemini is 3, and so on, up to 12.

To understand any aspect of astrology, you need to know

the name, number, and ruling planet (lord) of each Rashi.
Here is a table that shows the number, name, and lord of
each Rashi. I hope you'll memorize them.

OF EACH OF THESE RASHIS SIGNS.
1. Aries (Mesh)
Personality: Bold, impulsive, and full of energy. They are natural

7. Libra (Tula)

8. Scorpio (Vrishchika)

Understanding Planets
"Now that we understand houses and Rashis, let's explore planets.
In Vedic Astrology and in Bhrigu Nandi Nadii, we have nine
planets. These nine planets can provide insights into various
aspects of your life, such as health, wealth, relationships, career,
promotions, foreign settlement, children, and more.

Each planet has unique characteristics. When planets combine

with houses, Rashis, and other planets, they create intricate
combinations that influence our lives. The core of astrology lies in
studying these combinations and understanding how they
manifest in different individuals.
PLANETS AND THEIR
KARAKTATVAS
1) SUN (Surya): Sun is the king of planets that is why it
represents Government , Politics , Administration , Government
Job , Power , Status , Name , Fame , Top position , Ego ,
Dominance, Sun is your Father , Male child(Son) , Right Eye ,
Bones , Your immunity and most importantly your Atma/Soul is
Sun.

2) MOON (Chandra): Moon is biggest karaka of Change , as you

observe Moon’s shape change daily, In your life any change
may it be Job change , City Change , House Change , Transfer ,
School Change , Travels all are seen from Moon , Moon is the
mind, Moon represents your Mother , Elder daughter, Lust.

3) MARS (Mangal): Mars is energy , we need energy to do any

task may it be walking , Talking , Doing anything , Mars is
younger brother , Husband is seen from Mars in Female Kundli ,
So Mars is marriage in Female chart , any question of marriage
is seen from mars in female chart , Mars is Land/Property ,
Surgery , Accidents , Blood , Sharp objects like Knife , Technical
things like Engineering, Machinery.

4) MERCURY (Budh): Mercury is youngest sister or brother ,

Eunuch Planet , Friends , Relatives , Neighbours ,
Boyfriend/Girlfriend , what subjects we will study , like you are
reading astrology book now so Mercury should be connected to
Ketu who is karak of astrology, Mercury is you Business , shows
your area of interest.
5) JUPITER(Guru): Jupiter is Prana Shakti/Oxygen that is why in
Nadi Astrology Jupiter is Jeevakaraka (Self), That is why it is the
most Important planet as in male or female chart Jupiter
represents you yourself . Apart from it it is a Religious planet ,
God Room in the house, Judge, Guide, Teacher, Presenter,
Education Minister, Manager, Lawyer, Accountant,
Honour, Respect, Truth, Patience, Humility.

6) VENUS (Shukra): Venus is the brightest star that is seen from

Earth, being the brightest it is karaka of beauty, charm ,
everything that is attractive, what is the most attractive thing:
Money , Luxury, House, Vehicles, Garments ,Diamonds are all
seen from Venus, Venus is karka of Bhrigu Nandi Nadi that you
are studying now, and Venus is ever you desire for.

7) SATURN (Shani): Saturn is the second most important planet

after Jupiter, as it is karma karka , it shows your profession,
career, it is impossible to have a career shown by a particular
planet if it doesn't connect to Saturn, Apart from this Saturn is far
away from Sun so it shows a dark place , a cold place , it is a
slow moving planet so signifies delays , obstacles ,
Procrastination and hurdles.

8) RAHU: Rahu is Maya , desire , attachment , Rahu is shadow , it

expands, Rahu is kaal so shows diseases , Rahu is foreign
countries, MNC, export, different culture, Rahu is the cause of
your birth as in Geeta chapter 2 desire is the cause of next birth,
Rahu shows your Paternal grandparents (Dada and Dadi).
9) KETU: Ketu is just opposite of Rahu , so it shows detachment, it
signifies a yogi/sanyasi, it shows end of something, Ketu is
astrology that you are studying now , it is occult , mysticism,
yoga , meditation, lawyer, coding , acupressure, research, Ketu is
long , cylindrical things like pipelines in your home , your fingers ,
hair, Ketu shows tensions , problems , dejection, but it is karka of
moksha.
Ketu also shows your Maternal grandparents (Nana and Nani).
LET’S LEARN
BHRIGU NANDI NADI:
No matter what astrology you learn , you won’t be able to look
at a kundli the way you can through Nadi astrology. I have
been to many many astrologers in my life and I have found
no one talking sense. Almost all of them told me about some
doshas I had and suggested expensive remedies.

But , Once I met a south indian astrologer who practised Nadi

Astrology,No, I am not talking about the Nadi leaf astrology
reading from South India where a man looks at your future
and past on a leaf which was written five thousand years
ago. I am talking about the method which is just another
branch of “Vedic astrology”, which does not fail. I

RULE 1:
BNN was given by two rishis Bhrigu rishi and
Nandikeshwar Rishi, the people who came to
Nandikeshwar rishi didn’t know their time of birth , so
he devised a system of astrology where
Lagna/Ascendent was not used and Dashas are not
used as these two things can change if Time of birth
is incorrect , that is the reason why BNN is different
from any other form of astrology as all other forms of
astrology use lagna and dasha.

Then how exactly we are going to predict in BNN , the

answer lies in the 2 rules that this book will teach you , and
all rules are given by a Rishi so they are very very
accurate.
RULE 1 : WHEREVER JUPITER IS PLACED
IN YOUR BIRTH CHART/KUNDLI WE WILL
TAKE THAT AS THE FIRST HOUSE.
Let us understand this rule with 2 example charts
Example 1

In this Chart (Kundli), Jupiter is written in the 9 number

rashi i.e Sagittarius , So unlike Vedic Astrology we will not
count houses from ascendent but from Jupiter, In this
example chart we will take Sagittarius/Danu Rashi
which is number 9 as the First house.

And counting of houses is always done in anticlockwise

fashion , so If Number 9 is 1st house then number 10 will
be 2nd house , number 11 will be 3rd and number 12 will
be 4th and so on…

We will count all 12 houses.

 Example 2

In this example Chart (Kundli), Jupiter is written in the 7

number rashi i.e Libra , So unlike Vedic Astrology we will
not count houses from ascendent but from Jupiter, In
this example chart we will take Libra/Tula Rashi which is
number 7 as the First house.
And counting of houses is always done in anticlockwise
fashion , so If Number 7 is 1st house then number 8 will
be 2nd house , number 9 will be 3rd and number 10 will
be 4th and so on…
We will count all 12 houses.

A question that should come into your mind is , why do

we consider Jupiter as the first house in Bhrigu Nandi
Nadi Astrology , it is because Jupiter is Prana Shakti/Life
energy that is flowing inside each one of us without it
we won’t be alive , that is why Jupiter is called Jeev
karaka that it is Self/Person himself/herself, the 1st
House both in case of male and female horoscopes as
Prana shakti is same in both.

Can we do Predictions from this Rule , yes you can do 1

lakh predictions if we see all houses from Jupiter , but
for now let us see a simple yet effective prediction , we
said that Jupiter is Jeeva karak that is self of all , so In
whichever rashi Jupiter sits in , that rashi’s
characteristics should be found in a person, So we will
understand the effect of Jupiter in all 12 rashis , Let’s say
, having powerful connections.
LET US UNDERSTAND
JUPITER IN 12 RASHIS:
1) Jupiter In Aries: The Person is short In height (Unless benefic
aspect), Hard Struggle in Life, Very Interested In sports(Indoor or
outdoor), Aggressive, Stubborn, Miser, Adventurous Sports ,
Archeology, Geology, Real Estate , Technical Skills.

2) Jupiter In Taurus: Good Body Structure, Good Looking, Money

Minded, Keep a Watch on their expenses, will calculate
everything, shows upper gums while smiling, delicate
people,speaks softly, attracted towards opposite sex.

3) Jupiter In Gemini: Good Looking, Good Height, Dual

personality, Difficult to understand, Media personality, writer,
filmmaker,good orator, good traveler, argumentative, in family
of native someone could have born as twins.

4) Jupiter In Cancer: Exhalated, Open Hearted, Good at heart,

Does not like lies told by others, soft spoken , respects others,
native can settle at different places, Likes sweets and travelling.

5) Jupiter In Leo: Strong personality, Ruling nature(Dominating),

much time in family(still love their children), wanderers, share

10) Jupiter In Capricorn: Debilitated, But a good place to have

11) Jupiter In Aquarius: Not a good place for Jupiter, Physic

RULE 2 :PLANETS IN TRINAL RASHIS
ARE CONSIDERED IN COMBINATION OR
CONJUNCTION.
What does this line exactly mean? I will give you many
examples , don’t worry , Just see carefully , Trinal Rashis
means : A set of Rashis that are forming a Triangle.

Ok ,to form a triangle we would need 3 Rashis , so there

are a total of 12 rashis , and we club them into 4 groups
as follows:

Trinal Rashis are:

1,5,9, 2,6,10, 3,7,11, 4,8,12

1,5,9
The first trinal rashi is 1,5 ,9. It means Aries , Leo and
Sagittarius, wherever they are in a birth chart they
should form a triangle. See the picture below.
 Example

In this example in the trinal rashi of 1,5,9 , Three planets

are written Jupiter , Saturn and Rahu.

Now according to the rule Saturn + Jupiter + Rahu is a

combination. Now Read the rule again.

As we can see in the above Kundli , Saturn , Jupiter and

Rahu are in 1, 5 , 9 rashis respectively and they form a
triangle so they form a combination of Saturn + Jupiter
+ Rahu.

Predictions:

To make it easy we will study these combinations as a

pair of two. Three combinations are possible :
1. Saturn + Jupiter : The method of prediction in BNN is very
logical. We join the karaktatvas of the planets in combination to
reach a result, Let us see How.
Here Saturn is the Profession and Jupiter is a Teacher ,
Consultant , Manager , Banker , Goldsmith , the person has done
teaching jon in his life , but such a person will be very career
oriented and will start working in 20-21 years of age , Saturn
Jupiter Combination is a type of Raj Yoga in Nadi Astrology.

2.. Saturn + Rahu : The method of prediction in BNN is very

logical. We join the karaktatavas of the planets in combination
to reach a result, Let us see How.
Here Saturn is the Profession and Rahu is Foreign country , so the
person will want to go to foreign for his career and he/she can
surely go , Rahu shows software , the person may do online work
as rahu is online , as far as occult is concerned Rahu is Tarot.
Remedy: For career success go to a different culture , as Rahu
shows a different culture , you won;t get much success at your
birth place.

3. Jupiter + Rahu : The method of prediction in BNN is very

logical. We join the karaktatavas of the planets in combination
to reach a result, Let us see How.
Here Jupiter shows self , and Rahu is Kaal or health issues , the
child born with this combination will fall ill in the first year of birth
, the person will face ill health all throughout life , Rahu shows
hallucinations and Jupiter is Jeeva so person is a day dreamer ,
lives in hallucinations.
2,6,10
It is time to see the next trinal rashi in kundli , the next
triangle is formed by 2,6,10 rashis. It means Taurus ,Virgo
and Capricorn, wherever they are in a birth chart they
should form a triangle. See the picture below.

Ok ,to form a triangle we would need 3 Rashis , so there

are a total of 12 rashis , and we club them into 4 groups
as follows:

It is very simple to understand now. If any planets are

written in this triangle they all will be considered in
combination and prediction can be made by joining
their karak tatwas . After this rule I will explain some
important combinations through this concept, For now
let us move unto the next triangle.
3,7,11
It is time to see the next trinal rashi in kundli , the next
triangle is formed by 3,7,11 rashis. It means Gemini ,Libra
and Aquarius, wherever they are in a birth chart they
should form a triangle. See the picture below.

If any planets are written in this triangle they all will be

considered in combination and prediction can be made
by joining their karak tatwas.
4,8,12
It is time to see the next trinal rashi in kundli , the next
triangle is formed by 4,8,12 rashis. It means Gemini ,Libra
and Aquarius, wherever they are in a birth chart they
should form a triangle. See the picture below.

If any planets are written in this triangle they all will be

considered in combination and prediction can be made
by joining their karak tatwas.
PREDICTIONS OF SOME IMPORTANT
COMBINATIONS AS PER BNN:
BNN mainly works on combinations of planets. If you were to ask
me what is the most important thing in BNN , then I would say
planets. 90% of the predictions that we make are from planets. Let
us look into some important combinations that you can see and
predict in people’s Kundli.

1.Jupiter + Sun
I will show a pictorial representation of how this combination can
be formed in BNN, till now we have studied that planets that are in
trinal rashis are considered as a combination , -But planets in the
Next house to any planet are also treated as combination and
Planets in the 7th house also are treated as combination , let us
see what do I mean by this by this diagram:
Now see carefully in this Kundli above Jupiter is in
Aquarius (Number 11) Rashi , Now to Make a Jupiter Sun
combination in your Kundli , Sun can be sitting with
Jupiter in Number 11 , or in trine of 3,7,11(Marked with
green triangle) or Sun can be in next house to Jupiter ,
like 12 number rashi (Pisces) comes after 11 (Aquarius)
or it can be in 7th house to Jupiter that is in Leo(Number
5) in all these cases we will call it a Jupiter Sun
combination.

Predictions of Jupiter Sun Combination : To do any

prediction in BNN just join the karakas of planets that
are in combination.

Jupiter is Self/Jeeva and Sun is Father so Father and

Native/you will look alike , habits will be similar to Father
, Sun is the male child so this combination promises a
male child , Sun is Government , Name , Fame , Status
,so such a person will be interested in politics , Will want
name , fame and respect , He/she is a leader at
workplace and has dominating and kingly nature all
these qualities are coming from Sun , as Sun is Atma
