I was raised in Tam

Nong district - Phu Tho Province. In my family, there are 9 members. I have 5
older sisters. I moved to Hanoi in July to attend university. My current address is
Trai Ga Street, Bac Tu Liem Ward, Hanoi. I’m a freshman at Hanoi University of
Natural Resources and Environment, majoring in Information Technology. I’m
usually described as a Patient, Disciplined, and Resourceful person. I have a
special liking for programs. I can spend hours sitting in front of a screen computer.
It helps me unwind after hours of schooltimes. In addition, It improves my
creativity and intelligence. To be honest, becoming a programmer is my dream.

Today, I am going to talk about my hobby.
I'm a guy, so my hobbies are the same as other guys, like playing games, watching
movies, playing sports.... if I had to choose a hobby to talk about, it would be
watching movies. To be honest, I have a special liking for science fiction movies
and action movies. The first movie which I watched was “High Life”. It was
created by Director Claire Denis in 2019. Frankly, the visual effects and content of
this movie attracted me. I spent all of my summer holiday watching it.
I must say that these movies play an important role in my life. Because I am
studious, they helped me broaden my knowledge about science and society. In
addition, I was unwound by these films after stressful school times. Moreover, I
met and made new friends who share the same interests.

To be honest, I have a balanced(bee lưnst) diet(dai ợt), always eating enough 3

meals a day. for breakfast, I eat like a horse (hô sờ)to have enough energy to work.
on a daily basis(bây sịt), I will get up early, and eat out. I seldom cook at home in
the morning. My breakfast is diverse(đai vớt), which is banh mi, bun cha,…. For
lunch and dinner, I often choose to cook by myself. in every meal is enough
Vietnamese traditional dish. because I have a special liking for traditional cuisine.
especially, spring rolls(râus) which were cooked by my mom, I will pig out on
them. I'm not only not a fussy(phaa si) eater but also a food lover, therefore I have
many favorite foods. if I had to choose, it would be pho. Delicious(đi li sợt)
broth(b ro th) pho, and soft(sọp t), succulent (sa kiu lừn)pieces(pi s) of beef
combined(kơm bai) with chewy(chiu i) pho noodles make my mouth water. in
addition, I want to talk about healthy drink which as Kumquat(căm quạt) honey
tea. it is often used to treat coughs(cópfs) and relieve(ri li v) colds. In addition, it is
also a natural product that can prevent cancer. Furthermore, the combination of
antioxidants(an ti ô xi đừn) and vitamins in kumquat honey helps protect the skin
from the carcinogenic(ca sin ơ de nịc) effects of the sun.

Topic 4: Talk about the life story of a famous person in the past
His real name is Thomas Alva Edison. He is known as an inventor and
businessman who developed many devices that greatly(g rét li) influenced (in fu ơ
lừn)life in the 20th century. when I was young, I stumbled upon him in an
American article that talked about his wonderful worldwide invention. I was
hooked by the zenith of his success
As a child, Edison not only wondered about everything around him but also
wanted to understand those things thoroughly. Because of his mischievous acts,
Edison was expelled(x sờ peo) from school after three months of schooling. His
mother took on the responsibility of teaching him.
After, he moved to Port Huron. He sold candy and newspapers on trains from Port
Huron to Detroit. he became a telegraph operator after he saved Jimmie
Mackenzie from running into a train.
Edison has a reputation for his useful inventions. His first invention was a
telegraph capable of broadcasting two messages at the same time. Shortly after, he
improved it to a triple loader, a fourth loader, and a multi-loader. Edison is
considered one of the greatest and most prolific inventors and scientists in history,
holding a total of 1,500 patents worldwide.
The reason I am interested in Edison is because of his hard work and dedication to
his inventions. These inventions have brought many benefits, they have made
human life easier.

Topic 5: Talk about your shopping habit

Today, I would like to talk about my shopping habits. I'm not a shopaholic because
I don't go shopping very often. I usually just go shopping with my girlfriend, about
once to twice a month to buy the necessities for us. In addition, sometimes I also
buy clothes online. My favorite website to shop online is Shopee. I usually buy
clothes on it because it often sells off items, I can save a lot of money. it's also one
of The advantages of online shopping online. moreover, it is easy to buy your
favorite items. I'm shy, I rarely(re ơ li) bargain(baa gừn) when I shop. therefore, I
often take some factors(féc tờ) into consideration such as price, customer review,
and product origin to know whether the items are good or not.

When it comes to selecting (sơ lec ting)my favorite pet, it would be my dog which
is kiki. People love dogs because of their faithful (fây ful)character. I am not an
exception (íc xép sừn)to this. What is special about kiki is its active character and

Topic 7: Talk about a place you would like to visit

When I was a child, my grandmother often told me about the beauty of the Huong
River in Hue, which is surrounded(sờ lao đựt) by old forests. Coming to Hue to
visit that river is my childhood dream. The river has two main sources(su xịt), both
originating(ơ ri gi ne ting) from the Truong Son mountain range. The Perfume (pơ
fium)River is said to be very beautiful when admiring(e đơ mai ning) it from its
source and as it flows around the foothills, through dense forests of tropical
flora(fờ ro rơ). The river flows slowly through the villages. It used to be a source of
emotion for tourists when they sailed(seod) along the river to admire the scenery(si
nơ ri) and listen to traditional Hue songs. Besides, it is impossible not to mention
the special dishes(đis sì) with traditional flavors sold on the boat. I have learned a
lot about the Huong River, hoping that one day I can go to Hue to see it.
