0. Preamble
The Code of Conduct is set in place to serve as a clear outline for

refers to the Overall Choir Coordinator, the Praise Team Leader, and
the Assistant Praise Team Leader.

The term Member refers to any member of the choir who has been
accepted into the Team through auditions or any other means deemed
fit by The Leadership, agrees and signs to follow the code of the Team
and is active within the choir.

.
General rules are as follows:

Punctuality – It is expected of the Member to be punctual for every

rehearsal and ministration.
It is therefore expected that all members arrive for the team's
rehearsals on or before the due time as provided to them by the
leadership. Any Member who will be particularly ministering on
Sunday must be available for the Church Workers Meeting. It is
expected of the member to provide immediate feedback should
circumstances prevent them to be on time. The following will be
applicable to this issue:
Late for any rehearsal will result in a verbal warning and it will be
noted against their name.
More than 3 verbal warnings will ensue a written warning via
Whatsapp.
More than one written warning will imply a disciplinary action as

.
determined by Leadership with definite consequence of action or
fine.

Absenteeism from rehearsals - Members are expected to attend all

rehearsals as notified by leadership. In the event that circumstances
prevent such an attendance the member is expected to provide prior
notice to the assistant conductor and the choir manager. In the event
of failure to adhere to this ruling the following will apply:
If the Member is absent without excuse a verbal warning will be
issued.
For a third (3) verbal warnings including punctuality and/or
rehearsals collectively, a written warning will be issued.
After a fourth verbal warning, i.e. four (4) absent-without excuses a
disciplinary hearing by leadership will be called to discuss reason

.
for absenteeism. At this point the member’s future in the team will
be discussed.

Absenteeism from ministration - Members are expected to attend

all ministrations both for the team and the choir at large. If a Member
is absent for any Ministration, an excuse will need to be given to the
Praise Team Leader verbally or in a written manner via Whatsapp.

B. Rehearsals
Rehearsal times are clearly conveyed to Members by the Leadership.
Members must arrive for rehearsals on or before the time stipulated
by Leadership,

Absence from rehearsals for up to four times in the space of three

months even with excuses will result in suspension from the team.

All assignments to be taken seriously and submitted as and when due.

Attire at rehearsals is to be neat and in good taste. A Member can be

sent home by a member of the Management if she/he is
inappropriately dressed.

Answering of phone calls during rehearsals are strictly prohibited

except in cases of emergency.

It remains the responsibility of the choir member to ensure that they

keep themselves up to date with what is happening in the choir in
terms of any or all arrangements. The management will take all
reasonable steps to ensure that all members are informed, but
ignorance will under no circumstances be accepted as an excuse to
absenteeism or late arrival for any choir event.

Members are to keep any venue that the choir rehearses or ministers
clean at all times.

C. Ministrations
Members taking a backup role must sit at the front row at the Choir
seat arrangement every Sunday and must be with their microphone
except otherwise stated by leadership.

Members must maintain a high level of discipline during ministrations.

This is serious business.
