Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) is a Statutory Organization under Ministry of

Environment, Forest & Climate Change entrusted with power and functions under
the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control
of Pollution) Act, 1981.

2. Online applications are invited from the eligible candidates for direct recruitment
for various posts on regular basis for open competition. The commencement date
and the last date for submission of applications are as under:-

Note 1: Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) can apply to the respective
posts even if the post is not reserved for them but has been identified as suitable.
However, such candidates will be considered for selection to such post by general
standard of merit.
Note 2: Reservation and other Concessions & Relaxations as permissible under the
rules only when degree of physical disability is 40% or more.
Note 3: Certificate of Disability in prescribed proforma issued by the competent
authority to Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) eligible for appointment to
the post on the basis of prescribed standards of Medical Fitness. The Competent
Authority to issue Certificate of Disability shall be a Medical Board duly constituted
by the Central or a State Government. The Central/ State Government may

Note 1: All the candidates who are called for documents verification will be required
to produce the relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets for all years/semesters of
Graduation/ Provisional Certificate/ Degree of Graduation in original as proof of
having acquired the minimum educational qualification on or before the cut-off date,
failing which the candidature of such candidates will be cancelled. The candidates
who are able to prove, by documentary evidence, that the result of the qualifying
examination was declared on or before the cut-off date and he has been declared

passed, will also be considered to meet the educational qualification. It is reiterated

that the result of requisite educational qualification must have been declared by the
Institute/ University by the specified date. Mere processing of the result by the

Note 2: In case of the candidates possessing equivalent educational qualification,
such candidates shall also produce relevant Equivalence Certificate from the
authorities concerned at the time of Document Verification. However, final decision
regarding selection of such candidates will be taken by the Competent Authority,
CPCB.

5. General Instructions, Essential Information and Clarifications:

1. The candidates of only Indian Nationality can apply for these posts.
2. Fee:

2. One hour exam Rs. 350 exam fee + Rs. 150 for test session = Rs. 500

The SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Ex-Servicemen and women are exempted from paying
examination fee. However, all candidates are required to register and pay a test
session charge (Rs. 250/- for two hour test and Rs. 150/- for one hour test) at the
time of registration.
3. The Board reserves the right to post the selected candidates anywhere in India.
4. Experience specified for the above posts shall be the experience acquired after
obtaining the essential educational qualifications prescribed for the posts.
5. Applicants are NOT required to upload the scanned copies of certificates and
supporting documents with the application form. However, the same shall be
produced at the time of documents verification.
6. Applicants are advised to ensure before applying that they possess essential
qualification and experience for the post. The Experience, Qualification and Age
will be reckoned as on the last date for submission of application i.e. 28.04.2025.
No updating of qualification and experience will be entertained after the last date.
7. Application once submitted cannot be altered / resubmitted, under any
circumstances. Further, no request with respect to making changes in any data /
particulars entered by the candidate in the Online Application will be entertained,
once the application is submitted successfully. Therefore, please keep all
data/details ready before you start filling up the Application Online.
8. CPCB shall verify the antecedents and documents submitted by applicants at
any time, at the time of appointment or during the tenure of service. In case, it is

found that the Applicants have submitted fake documents or the applicants have
undesirable clandestine antecedents/background and have suppressed the
material information, his/her services shall be liable to be terminated.
9. The character of a person for direct recruitment to the service must be such as to
render him/her suitable in all respect for appointment to the service. Persons
dismissed by the Union Government or by a State Government or by a Local
Authority or a Government Corporation owned or controlled by the Central
Government or State Government will be deemed to be ineligible for
appointment.
10 In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be
. detected at any stage even after the issuance of appointment letter, CPCB
reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the
Applicants.
11 The reservations/ relaxations policy for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/Ex-Serviceman
. applicants will be as per the existing Govt. of India policy. Applicants applying for
the reserved posts should clearly state to which category they belong.
12 EWS vacancies are tentative and subject to further directives of Government of
. India and outcome of any litigation. The appointment is provisional and subject to
the Income and Asset certificate being verified through proper channel and if the
verification reveals that the claim to belong to EWS is fake/false, the services will
be terminated forthwith without assigning any further reasons and without
prejudice to such further action as may be taken under the provision of the
Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for production of fake/false certificate.
13 The applicants serving in Govt./Semi. Govt./PSUs/Autonomous Organization
. must obtain No Objection Certificate from their employer and produced it at the
time of documents verification. In case the applicant fails to submit the No
Objection Certificate from his/ her employer, his / her candidature will not be
considered for appointment.
14 Canvassing in any form on behalf of or by any applicant will disqualify him/her
. from being considered for post.
15 All the appointees shall be governed by the National Pension System (NPS)
. introduced by Govt. of India.
16 Appointments under Direct Recruitment are regular in nature with a probation
. period as per Govt. of India norms and the same shall be confirmed depending
upon satisfactory performance of the incumbent.
17 The Board reserves the right to:
. (a) Withdraw the advertisement either partly or wholly at any time without
assigning any reason to this effect.

18 Request for change of mailing address or e-mail address or Mobile No. during
. the process of recruitment will not be entertained under any circumstances.
CPCB will not be responsible for any loss of e-mail, loss of any communication
due to wrong address provided by the candidates.
19 Applicants shall have to produce original testimonials at the time of documents
. verification.
20 Any corrigendum/addendum pertaining to this advertisement, the same shall be
. published on CPCB website only. Accordingly, all applicants in their own
interests are advised to regularly visit CPCB website i.e. www.cpcb.nic.in. They
should also regularly check their email account for updates.
21 No TA/DA and accommodation shall be provided for attending Written Test,
. Skill/Trade Test and interview.
22 Candidates, who have obtained Degrees or Diplomas or Certificates for various
. courses from any Institution declared fake / de-recognized by the UGC/ AICTE/
PCI shall not be eligible for being considered for recruitment to the posts
advertised. If this is detected at any stage during their service, their service will
be terminated forthwith.
23 No interim correspondence whatsoever will be entertained from Applicants
. regarding conduct and result of test(s) and reasons for not being called for
test(s).
24 In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the
. decision of the Competent Authority of CPCB in all matters relating to eligibility,
acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, conduct of
examination/ interview will be final and no query or correspondence will be
entertained in this connection from any applicant.
25 No person shall be recruited unless he/she is in good mental and physical health
. and free from any physical defect that is likely to interfere with the efficient
performance of his official duties. Candidates who are finally approved for the
appointment, he/she shall produce Medical Fitness Certificate from an authorized
Government Medical Officer at the time of joining CPCB.
26 A Candidate’s admission to the Written Test/ Skill/ Trade Test/ Interview and
. subsequent process is strictly provisional. The mere fact that the call letter has
been issued to the candidate does not imply that his/her candidature has been

finally cleared by CPCB. CPCB would be free to reject any application, at any
stage of the process, cancel the candidature of the candidate in case it is

has suppressed any material fact(s). If any of these shortcoming(s) is/are
detected after appointment in CPCB, their services are liable to be summarily
terminated as per rules.
27 Errors and omissions in notification and selection process are subject to
. corrections as per rules.
28 Weightage of written test and interview for the post of Scientist ‘B’ shall be 85:15.

30 Resolution of Tie-Cases:

iii. Alphabetical order of names.

अधिमानतः किसी भी प्रतिष्ठित संगठन या संस्थान में प्रदूषण नियंत्रण
और संबंधित विषयों में।
5. तकनीकी पर्यवेक्षक मैके निकल इंजीनियरिंग (01 पद), इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स इंजीनियरिंग (01 पद),
इंस्ट्रुमेंटेशन इंजीनियरिंग (02 पद), इलेक्ट्रिकल इंजीनियरिंग (01 पद) में
डिग्री के साथ प्रासंगिक क्षेत्र में तीन वर्ष के अनुभव।
6. सहायक (क) किसी मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय या संस्थान से स्नातक की डिग्री।
(ख) कं प्यूटर पर अंग्रेजी टंकण 35 शब्द प्रति मिनट (प्रत्येक शब्द के
लिए 5 कुं जी दबाव औसत पर 10500 के डीपीएच) / हिंदी टंकण 30
शब्द प्रति मिनट (प्रत्येक शब्द के लिए 5 कुं जी दबाव औसत पर 9000
के डीपीएच) की गति से कौशल परीक्षा पास करेगा। दस मिनट का समय
अनुमत होगा।
7. लेखा सहायक अनिवार्य:
(i) किसी मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय या संस्थान से वाणिज्य में स्नातक
की डिग्री।
(ii) किसी प्रतिष्ठित संगठन या संस्थान में लेखा, लेखा परीक्षा, कै श
हैंडलिंग या संबंधित किसी अन्य कार्य में तीन वर्ष का अनुभव।
8. कनिष्‍ठ अनुवादक (i) किसी मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय से हिंदी में परास्नातक डिग्री,
जिसमें डिग्री स्तर पर अंग्रेजी अनिवार्य या वैकल्पिक विषयया परीक्षा
का माध्यम हो; या
(ii) किसी मान्यता प्राप्त विश्वविद्यालय से अंग्रेजी में परास्नातक डिग्री,
जिसमें डिग्री स्तर पर हिंदी अनिवार्य या वैकल्पिक विषय या परीक्षा
