1. Learning outcomes help faculty and students come to a common understanding
about the purpose and goals of a course or academic program. By giving
students with clear and complete learning outcomes, educators can begin to
create a clear route to success for them. The foundations of course design and
evaluation are learning outcomes, which help students focus on what matters
most. Learning outcomes can also be considered an inclusive teaching method
because they can help all students understand what is expected of them.
2. Bloom’s Taxonomy is a taxonomy of the many goals and skills that teachers
assign to their students. The following six levels of learning have recently been
added to the terminology. The course’s learning objectives, lessons, and
assessments can all be structured around these six levels. The six levels are
remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating.
There are “verb tables” that can assist you figure out which action verbs
correspond to which Bloom’s Taxonomy levels. Multiple Bloom’s Taxonomy
levels are related with these verbs. These “multilevel-verbs” are acts that can be
used in a variety of situations. “At the end of this lesson, students will be able to
explain the difference between joints and muscles,” for example, may be an
objective.
3. The three governing bodies in the education sector are the Commission on
Higher Education (CHED) for tertiary and graduate education, the Department of
Education (DepEd) for basic education, and the Technical Education and Skills
Development Authority (TESDA) for technical-vocational education and training
(TVET) and middle level education. DepEd is the government’s main educational
and human resource development department. The Department’s goal is to
deliver a high-quality, universally accessible basic education that lays the
groundwork for lifelong learning and community engagement. The Technical
Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) also known as the
Technical Education and Skills Development Act of 1994. The purpose of this Act
is to promote and mobilize industry, labor, local government units, and technical-
vocational education and training (TVET) institutions to participate fully in the
development of the country’s human resources’ skills. CHED is independent and
separate from the DepEd. The Commission is in charge of developing and
implementing policies, plans, and programs for the country’s higher education
system’s development and efficient operation. It includes both public and private
higher education institutions, as well as all post-secondary educational
institutions that offer degree-granting programs.
4. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and targets are integrated and
indivisible, global in nature and universally applicable, and take into account
different national realities, capacities and levels of development and respecting
national policies and priorities. For the achievement of the 17 goals, each
government is expected to take ownership and build national frameworks, as well
as set nationally-owned targets based on the global level of ambition while taking
into consideration country-specific conditions.
5. At colleges and universities all across the world, online education is rapidly
evolving and expanding. People in today’s culture are increasingly preoccupied
with work and family duties, and they are looking for more flexible and expedited
higher education options. Institutions are attempting to address these new
expectations by providing online distance learning alternatives while also
boosting their college’s financial flow. Unfortunately, the consequences of this
haste to meet online demand have resulted in a lack of high-quality information
and curricula, according to some academics. There are no significant differences
in outcomes between online and traditional face-to-face classes, according to
others. Nonquantitative courses, quantitative courses with limited sample
numbers, or huge sample sizes that are not regulated for quality of online
material, delivery, or learning verification have all been used in a lot of research.
