PUBLIC FUND CARE TRACKING SYSTEM BASED


ON BLOCKCHAIN

ABSTRACT
Blockchain is a promising technology and is becoming predominant for solving many problems
in the field related to security under the control of both public and private sectors. Blockchain is
gaining popularity within the domain of charity. Due to lack of transparency in the transactions
involved in Donations the donor(s) are not able to know whether their donations are being
utilized properly, which has made people lose trust in Charities. The paper proposes a Block
chain based Donation tracking system built on SHA algorithm (Hash code) Block chain which

will provide full transparency , accountability and direct reach to the intended recipients. The
existing donation system is a way for donors to donate directly to several donor organizations.
However, this method has its disadvantages: it is difficult for donor to see how their donations

are spent . Blockchain technology is in the spotlight because it can secure transparency in
transaction. Propose application, to solve these problem, we try to introduce the Blockchain

technology into the donation system . In India, charities lack transparency and are difficult to
monitor. This negatively affects people’s willingness to contribute. Blockchain technically offers
new currency system solutions as the core technology of the Blockchain system. This white
paper proposes a security system based on Blockchain technology and discloses design patterns,
architectures, and workflows. Internal Blockchain is becoming more and more important in
philanthropy. The applicant provides a Blockchain-based decentralized donation tracking
system. Built on application and provides full transparency [5], accountability [4], and direct access
to target recipients.

1. INTRODUCTION
The current systems lack transparency in the field of Charity & Donations. In case of
transactions associated with Donations made to different Organization(s) there's no
proper maintenance of records and because of involvement of some corrupt peoples
within the organization, has made people lose trust in this social cause. The donor is

unaware whether their funds are being utilized properly or not . Corruption is the other
reason that leads the donor to lose trust in charities. The proposed system helps social
organizations to run various projects for social causes transparently without the

involvement of third parties, using smart contract -based incentives which helps to
confirm their impact is verified without the interaction of third parties and at the same
time it is accessible to everyone. This makes it easy for donors, organizations and other
participating vendors to track their transactions and restore their trust in commitment to
[3]
such social organizations. The system will help build trust with donors , recipients, and
other stakeholders involved in the process of Charity and ensures that the donation
reaches the intended person while improving the total administration costs, speed and
efficiency.

2. SCOPE
People have lost faith in charities as a result of the shortfall of clarity in the transactions
involving donations [3], which prevents donors from knowing whether their contributions
are being used effectively. These have established the standards for illegal activities
including organ trafficking and black market sales.
The main motivation is expose the corrupt NGO which are raising funds or raising a
request for a cause and not delivering it to the recipient. Adding to that there is no enough
knowledge with the people how NGO donations will work and how it will be utilized, so
by developing this system will resolve the issue which brings the trust among the
organizations.

3. MOTIVATION
The main motivation is to expose the corrupt NGO which are raising funds or raising a
request for a cause and not delivering it to the recipient.

4. OBJECTIVE
The aim of this project is to provide an automated system allows to make the process of
donations and transactions of funds transparent. Single platform for tracking donations
that will track all information about donations, transactions and donor’s donation
properly adopted to respective recipients.

5. PROBLEM STATEMENT
Donors are sceptical about how donated resources, such as money, are used. Donors have
every reason to be concerned that their donations won’t get to the individuals who need
them the most. According to the report, people are more likely to give money if they can
see where there money is heading to.
As per the law, platforms are necessary to keep a track records which are public, and now
the manual reports of all the employees must be are prepared by them. An external
database which uses Blockchain technology can solve the problems related to the doubts
of donors and also the huge data can be recorded [3] and organizes very well.

6. LITERATURE SURVEY

I. "Improving lives through donation analysis" By Harini Musun uru, Roger Lee and
Tokuro Matsuo(2017). The paper proposes The Improving lives through donation
analysis. The authors describe the aiddata.org provides data to visualise and analys data
on $40 trillion in financing for development and maintains finatial related activities. We
implemented a Hadoop data mart to analyse data aspects. The results are displayed using
Tableau tool The paper highlights the data quality effectiveness of using aiddata.org and
Tableau tool.

II. "A Privacy-Preserving and Overhead-Free Protocol for Direct Donations to People
Impacted by COVID-19 Lockdowns" by Chang Liu and Lisa Liu (2020). The paper
proposes a privacy preserving & overhead free protocol for direct donation. The authors
describe we designed a protocol named "fireside help for matching donors and people in
need. This protocol aims to provide maximum privacy protection. Mainly this protocol

was desigend initially to help students in Wuhan, china the very first city to lock down.
Later it was revised to help anyone around the world who has been impacted by covid 19.
The paper highlights the privacy protection. In this paper achieve privacy protection
using privacy protection Protocol "fireside help".

III. "Aid charity and Donation Tracking System using Blockchain" by Aashutosh
Singh, Rohan Rajak, Harsh Mistry & Prachi Raut(2020) The authors describes
NGO's are able to raise their requirements through the System dashboard in accordance
with a defined structure. The Decentralized donation tracking system, which is built in
block chain technology and smart contracts, keeps track of transaction involving donors
and collects data on how donations are used. The paper highlights managing all
transactions which will ultimately build trust among peoples by eleminating corruption &
providing transparency.

IV. "Identifying tools to aid in the Management of Donations Across NGO's" by Robyn
Goff, Wouter Bam (2020). The author describes in addition to helping achieve
Sustainability development goals, managing donated resources & cutting down on
product waste can also help to empower the neighborhood thorough social inclusion. The
purpose of this paper is to find management frameworks for donated goods & resources
in NGO's, In order to lessen the imbalance between supply & demand and enable the
efficient distribution of donations to NGO's with least amount of waste, frameworks and
methodologies.

V. "A study on Blockchain Application in donation plat-form" by Wooyoung Lee,


Dukjin Kim, Byeong Ryunjeon (2021). The author describes a new type of giving
called talent of businesses organizations and people to benefit society. The act of
donating one's talents is a subset of general volunteer work that is focused on
professionalism expertise and talent. In this work we attempt to integrate blockchain
technology into the donation system in order to address these issues.

7. EXISTING SYSTEM
Donors have distrust about how donated money is spent [3]. Donors have every reason to
fear that charitable funds will not reach people who really need them. According to the
survey citizens are willing to donate more if there is evidence of where and what they are
going. By law, foundations are required to maintain public records [5] (in particular, to
publish reports on their websites), and now all reports are prepared by employees of a
foundation manually[5]. The problem of mistrust of donors and overloading of funds can
be solved by organizing an external database, records in which are recorded in the
Blockchain.
7.1 DRAWBACKS
 Misuse of transaction information.
 Tedious to manage huge bulk of data.
 Time consuming process, most of the time it’s difficult to keep track of fund
donation details.
 This process is completely manual difficult in maintain of transparency in
donor’s donation.

8. PROPOSED SYSTEM
The propose system based on blockchain technology helps record the transactions of
individual(s) making donations and gather information of where the donations are being
spent. Using blockchain implemented helps in controlling the transfer of funds between
the ends parties involved in the transaction directly without the need to depend on a
trusted third party. Each transaction is unique, making it easy to track it through the
blockchain. This work is devoted to one of the most significant technology - blockchain.
At the moment, blockchain technology is being implemented in many areas. There is a
need for a single platform for charities and donors to increase transparency. The proposed
system works such a way that, the recipient’s post necessary requirement through
registered NGO platform, funds donate by register donor’s with respect to requirement
under SHA algorithm base generate hash code for each transaction & track on

blockchain. The blockchain technology enables secure, tamper proof transparency more
effective and reliable, but also more attractive to donors.

9. METHODOLOGY

SYSTEM ADMIN
--Login: System Admin have login credentials Id & Password, based on that system
admin login to the application.
--Approve NGO Registration: System Admin have options to approve NGO registration
based on background verification internally.
--View Register NGO: System admin have options to view all approved NGO details.
NGO
--Registration: NGO organization register to the application by providing basic details &
once system admin approve registration, code based unqiue Id & password will be
generated & using SMTP concept Id & password email to respective NGO Email-Id.
--Login: Based on NGO Login Id & password login to the application.
--Approve & Verify Recipient Requirements: NGO will verifiy internally background
verification of Recipient requirements & approve the recipient Requirement.
--Post Recipient Requirements: NGO approve recipient requirements, donors will be able
to requirement payments will be credit to NGO wallet & from NGO Walements based on
NGO.
--Manage Wallets: Donors donate recipient let, the amount will be transfer to recipient
wallet & these transaction will be logged to blockchain ledger (xml file) & store in AWS
s3 service. In blockchain ledger for each transaction an hash value generated using SHA
algorithm.

Recipient
--Registration: Recipient register to the application. An code base unique Id, password
generated & mail to recipient Email Id using SMTP concept.
--Login: Based on Login Id, password recipient will login to the application.
--Request Requirement to NGO: Recipient have option to post requirement based on
NGO & provide information related to requirements internally by contact the NGO, in
order to NGO approve posted requirement.
--Manage Wallet: Recipient check whether amount credited for posted requitement from
NGO. The transaction secure based on blockchain ledger (xml file) form AWS s3 service
--Full Fill Requested Requirement Status: Recipient update posted requirement fulfill i.e.,
the amount credit from NGO successfully to recipient wallet.
Donors
--Registration: Donor register to the application. An code base unique Id, password
generated & mail to donor Email Id using SMTP concept.
--Login : Based on Login Id, password donor will login to the application.
--Manage Wallet: Donor manage wallet based on adding amount to the wallet. Donor will
use wallet amount to pay for recipient requirements.
--View Recipient Request Requirement: Based on the NGO, Donor has options to view
recipient basic details & requested requirement.
--Pay Amount to Recipient Requirement: Donor pay amount from wallet to NGO wallet
for recipient requirement. The transaction will be logged to blockchain ledger along with
hash value using SHA algorithm & ledger (xml file) stored in AWS s3
