Why Adaptive
Challenge
01 Sharp curves and low-light conditions
Headlights?
challenge static headlights.
Reducing accidents
02 Adaptive headlights adjust to driver
conditions, reducing accidents.
Understand
01 Understand headlight angle
Project
deficiencies.
Objectives 02
Calibrate
Calibrate steering angle using sensors
Map
03 Map sensor input to adjust headlight
direction
Problem Statement
A model of adaptive headlights that operate according to input
from steering angle and thereby eliminate dark patches on the
road enhancing driver visibility and comfort
Reengineering
Concept
The concept of static headlights is challenged through
integration of features that dynamically adjust the
direction of the headlights in response to changing driver
conditions such as steering angle
Benefits to Society
1. Improved visibility 2. Safety enhancement 3. Reduction in accidents
and comfort. in low-light conditions
