THE NORMAL DISTRIBUTION FUNCTION

If Z has a normal distribution with mean 0 and


variance 1, then, for each value of z, the table gives
the value of Φ(z), where

Φ(z) = P(Z ⩽ z).

For negative values of z, use Φ(–z) = 1 – Φ(z).
