LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
Energetic and inspired are two expressions that suit the descriptions of Mr.
Maaz Mohammed, given that he was one of the frontrunners of his batch.
As a student in the Bachelor of Arts – Journalism course, he displayed a
wide array of attributes suitable for the field, including proficiency in
photography, video shooting, research, a highly analytical mindset,
comprehensive approaches, and quick grasping skills.
Maaz was in my ‘Journalism’ and ‘Sociology’ classes, which I taught, and I
have watched him progress from an eager beginner to a poised and
articulate professional. Collating, evaluating, and introspecting were
characteristics of the work culture he adopted, with classroom learning
thoroughly examined by him, gaps identified, and urgent measures taken
to address them. In the core subjects, for instance, I doubt there was
another student who had the levels of comprehension he had on layers,
logic, protocols and functionality. This practice of treating information
transacted in the classroom as a starting point stood him in good stead,
where his completed assignments reflected thorough examination of steps
and methods adopted, incorporation of best practices and firm leaning
towards presenting well-packaged assignments.
Maaz also worked as a catalyst for a group and generated many new ideas
during college annual events, such as the annual day and college fest,
where Maaz was part of my organising group. We generated numerous new
and original ideas together, and I was quite impressed with his
contributions and vision. The results were also good, and we were well
appreciated; many of his ideas were implemented, and I was consistently
satisfied with his association and hard work at the event. It was evident
that he was a complete self-starter who had done impeccable homework
before embarking on the events, his meticulous planning of schedules and
time allocation leaving no room for unnecessary delays or meandering. To
complement his strong student profile, Maaz was also involved in his
freelance work and thoroughly explored his potential in departmental
activities and events. I can only state that he will be a valuable addition to
the department if granted admission, thereby expanding his circle of
influence while acquiring niche competencies. I urge your offices to
consider his application favourably.
