MATERIALS

• Yarn: Schachenmayr Catania, Scheepjes Catona (use the same yarn


as used for the cat head)
• Hook: 2 mm crochet hook
• Stitch marker
• Yarn needle
• Scissors

TERMINOLOGY

• US terminology
ABBREVIATIONS – US TERMS

• MR – magic ring
• ch – chain
• sl st – slip stitch
• sc – single crochet
• inc – increase (2 single crochet in 1 stitch)
• hdc – half double crochet
• dc – double crochet
• BLO – back loops only
HEAD

For the project’s head, consider using any of the following cat head

Please note, for the head pattern, you must continue crocheting as
follows: Rnd 23. (1 sc, dec) x 8 (16).

PETALS

(Your choice of color)

• *Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
• Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
• Rnd 3-4: 12 sc (12)
• Do not stuff, fold edge and crochet together with 6 sc.
• Fasten off and weave in ends.*
• Repeat *…* 10 times for 10 petals.

• Rejoin the yarn and use the slip stitch (sl st) to crochet through
the stitches on the petals, joining them one by one. Finally, slip
stitch into the first stitch to form a circle.
LEAF

(Your choice of color)

• Start with foundation chain: ch 10


• Start in the second chain from the hook: sl st, 1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 hdc,
1 sc, sl st, ch2, sl st in the same last stitch, work on a long the other
side: 1 sc, 1 hdc, 3 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, sl st.
• Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
STEM

(Your choice of color)

• Rnd 1. 7 sc in MR (8)
• Rnd 2. 8 inc (16)
• Rnd 3. BLO-16 sc (16)
• Rnd 4-32. 16 sc (16)
• Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

SEWINGS

1. Sew the cad head to the stem.


2. Sew the leaf to the stem
