Week 1: Introduction to Drama
Day 1: Introduction to Drama - A general overview of what drama is, its
different forms, and its elements.
Day 2: Ice Breaker Activities - Introduce students to one another and
create a safe space for collaboration.
Day 3: Creating Characters - Explore the different ways in which
characters can be created and developed.
Day 4: Vocal Warm-Ups - Teach students how to use their voice for
different types of performances.
Day 5: Physical Warm-Ups - Introduce exercises to improve physical
awareness, movement, and coordination.
Week 2: Scriptwriting
Day 6: The Writing Process - Introduce students to the process of writing
scripts.
Day 7: Storytelling - Teach students how to tell a compelling story and
develop their own stories.
Day 8: Dialogue and Monologues - Teach students how to write effective
dialogue and monologues.
Day 9: Character Development - Focus on how to develop characters in a
script.
Day 10: Editing and Revisions - Discuss the importance of editing and
revision in the scriptwriting process.
Week 3: Rehearsal and Production
Day 11: Casting - Teach students how to cast actors for different roles.
Day 12: Blocking and Staging - Teach students how to block and stage a
scene.
Day 13: Props and Costumes - Discuss the role of props and costumes in a
production.
Day 14: Lighting and Sound - Introduce students to the basics of lighting
and sound design.
Day 15: Rehearsal Techniques - Teach students how to rehearse
effectively.
Week 4: Performance and Reflection
Day 16: Dress Rehearsal - Hold a dress rehearsal to help students prepare
for the final performance.
Day 17-28: Performances - Performances can be held for the rest of the
school, parents, or the community.
Day 29: Reflection - Have students reflect on their experience and discuss
what they learned.
Day 30: Celebration - Celebrate the end of the workshop with a party or
other fun activity.
