LET'S PLAY THE
GAMES
ICE BREAKER
High-Pitch Act (Helium Balloon Challenge)
Concept:
We’ll start the day on a light, hilarious note. Each participant (or pair)
inhales helium from a balloon and delivers a dialogue or reenacts a
short scene — but with the unexpected twist of a comically high-
pitched voice. Quick, spontaneous, and bound to spark laughter.
Why It Works:
This quirky activity instantly breaks the ice, encouraging everyone to
step out of their comfort zone without pressure. It fosters openness,
boosts energy, and sets a relaxed, positive atmosphere — perfect to
build connection before diving into more focused tasks.
INDIVIDUAL GAMES
Game : Tune & Pick Challenge
1. How it Works: A mix of random objects are placed on a table. As different songs play, participants must quickly
pick the object they feel best matches the lyrics or mood of the song.
Impact : Improves quick decision-making, sharpens attention to detail, and encourages creative thinking
Game : Wrong Answer Only
2. How it Works: : Participants are asked simple TED-related questions—but with a twist. They must respond
incorrectly and as creatively wrong as possible.
Impact : helps individuals loosen up, think unconventionally, and sharpen mental agility.
Game : Medusa
3. How it Works : Participants sit in a circle with their heads down. On the count of three, everyone looks up
and makes eye contact randomly. If two people lock eyes, both are out. Those avoiding eye contact stay in
the game.
Impact : Sharpens focus, observation, and reaction speed.
INDIVIDUAL GAMES
Game : Flash Memory
4. How it Works : One item is revealed from a box for a split second and immediately hidden. The person who
accurately remembers the items wins.
Impact : Boosts concentration, sharpens short-term memory, and trains the mind to process visual information
quickly and precisely.
Game : Personality Switch
5. How it Works : An individual is given a short scene or scenario to act out. Every 20 seconds, their assigned emotion
(happy, sad, angry, confused, excited, etc.) changes, and they must instantly adapt their performance to reflect it.
Impact : Encourages individuals to step out of their comfort zones and improve adaptability under shifting
circumstances.
Game : Connect
TEAM GAMES 1.
How it Works : The host thinks of a word. Teams have to collaborate and connect over any random topics or ideas. Every time two
teammates successfully connect their thoughts, they earn the next letter of the word. They continue framing connections using words
starting with the revealed letters, progressing until they guess the full word.
Impact : Enhances communication, creative collaboration, and logical association. Encourages active listening, teamwork, and out-of-the-
box thinking as team members build on each other's ideas.
Game: Doodle & Pass
How it Works : Each team starts with a sheet and a given theme. They doodle or sketch something related to the theme for
2. 30 sec. After that, they pass the sheet to another team, who continues the drawing. This cycle continues for a few rounds,
and finally, the completed doodles are revealed.
Impact : Encourages collaboration beyond one’s own team, highlights how combining different perspectives leads to
unexpected, meaningful outcomes.
Game: Human Maze
3. How it Works : One team member is blindfolded, while another gives directions using funny, self-decided
codewords instead of regular cues. example : Beyonce - stop ; momos - forward ; ducky duck - left
Impact : Builds trust, improves active listening, and encourages creative, team-specific communication strategies.
Game : Act It Out
TEAM GAMES 4. How it Works : Teams are given a TED-related topic + a random, weird genre (like Healthcare + Action Movie)—they get 5
minutes to plan and perform a creative act blending both.
Example: Explaining Artificial Intelligence in a Horror Film style.
Impact : Boosts teamwork, creative thinking, and quick coordination under time pressure.
Game: Tangled Challenge
5. How it Works : Two team members are tied together with intertwined cloth pieces. Without removing the cloth, they
must work together to untangle themselves using communication and strategy.
Impact : Enhances patience, leadership, and problem-solving. Encourages teams to stay calm, think logically, and
collaborate effectively.
