Interdisciplinary team of 22 students competing in Autonomous Pro Challenge at São Luı́s, Brazil, 2024
• Developed code for controlling motors via GPIO, PWM pins of NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX without built-in libraries
• Designed, manufactured two-layered Printed Circuit Board shield for Arduino and Jetson Xavier NX using KiCAD
• Engineered PWM control algorithms on Arduino microcontroller to achieve precise operation of DC geared motors,
incorporating PID algorithms for stable speed control and integrating with ROS topics using the rosserial libraries
• Executed RC controlled implementation using FlySky i6 transmitter and receiver for manual override functionality
• Employed LM2596 and XL4016 buck converters optimizing voltage requirements for servo and Jetson Xavier NX
• Utilized an IR-based speed sensor with LM393 comparator for real-time velocity feedback in autonomous car driving
• Spearheaded the design of entire electronic system for 1:8 scaled car after an extensive analysis of the requirements

• Studied in-depth about cooling, winding & core losses, thermal behavior, and optimal frequency of a transformer
• Initiated transformer design steps in MATLAB by finding area product followed by winding window area optimization
• Simulated current density and magnetic field intensity for 10 litz bundles in Ansys Maxwell, analysing winding losses
• Optimized Litz wire winding design using Fusion 360 for minimized external diameter at various skin effect factors

Interdisciplinary team of 30+ students developing vehicle of Level 5 autonomy for Indian Road Conditions
• Integrated code for optical rotary encoders to regulate throttle and steering motions of car based on speed outputs
• Implemented a low-level Arduino controller, used a DAC (MCP4725) to convert digital speed signal to analog output
• Designed, deployed, and tested emergency stop (wired and wireless), integrating them into ROS Noetic framework
