APPLICATION FORM FEE
All candidates are required to deposit non-refundable application fee of Rs. 5000/-
(Rs. 2500/- for SC, ST, ST-STA category of Rajasthan state) using the procedure
displayed while filling the on-line application form.
The on-line application form fee is non-refundable, non-transferable and non-adjustable.
Any plea in this matter will not be entertained.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Rajasthan University of Health Sciences will give admission to all residents of India in the Ph.D.
program hereunder mentioned, at various Government and Private colleges affiliated and approved
for the purpose, with RUHS, Jaipur, on the basis of UGC regulation 2016 (with amendments),
instructions mentioned in the information booklet and RUHS Ph.D Regulations 2017 as amended
from time to time and relevant ordinances of the RUHS, Jaipur, including adopted ordinance of
University of Rajasthan.
1- Educational Qualification
Candidates with the following qualifications are eligible for Ph.D. course of this University, under
the following faculties:
Faculty of Medicine
Clinical subjects: M.D. / M.S. or equivalent Master’s degree from a college/university recognized
by MCI are eligible to register for Ph.D. in their subject of specialization.
or
Pre-clinical/Para-clinical subjects: Pre-Clinical/Para-Clinical Subjects: M.D., M.S. or equivalent
Master’s Degree after MBBS or non-Medical candidates with 3 years M.Sc. [Medical] in
Anatomy/ Physiology/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Pharmacology from college / university
recognized by MCI / RUHS are eligible to register for Ph.D. in their subject of specialization.
Faculty of Dentistry
MDS or equivalent Master’s degree from a college/university recognized by DCI are eligible to
register for Ph.D. in their subject of specialization.
Faculty of Pharmacy
M.Pharm degree or a Master’s degree in Pharmacy considered as equivalent by RUHS
Such candidates must have obtained atleast 55% marks in B.Pharm or M.Pharm. A relaxation of
5% marks at PG level to the SC/ST/OBC NCL/MBC NCL and PwD candidates shall be given.
Note: Eligibility shall be checked by a committee constituted by the Convener/Chairman/Vice-Chancellor, for
the purpose.
Candidate who has appeared for master’s degree program (session 2023-24) and whose result
(session 2023-24) is awaited can also apply provisionally for RUHS Ph.D. Admission Test-2024.
Such candidates must qualify the master’s degree program so as to submit the marks statement of
the same on the date of the interview. A candidate who will be appearing in the master's
degree examination of the academic year 2024-25 is not eligible to apply for RUHS Ph.D
Admissions 2024.
2- Number of seats
The tentative number of seats available in each specialization/subject will be available at the RUHS
website (www.ruhsraj.org). The number of seats may increase or decrease as per availability of
supervisors; the exact number shall be notified on the website of RUHS at the time of choice
filling.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Before filling the on-line application form, read the information booklet and instructions for filling
on-line application form etc. very carefully. Ensure the eligibility and other requirements for
admission as given in this booklet.
You should be very careful in filling-up the on-line application form. If any lapse is detected during
the scrutiny, your candidature will be rejected even if you come through the final stage of
admission process or even at a later stage.
IMPORTANT: HAND WRITTEN / TYPED / PHOTOSTAT COPIES / PRINTED APPLICATION FORM / SCREEN
PRINTOUT WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED.
Follow the steps as given in “Instructions to fill up on-line application form” available at the
website.
Note the ID and password for further steps. Keep it safe.
ADMISSION TEST
The admission test will be conducted at the examination center at Jaipur. The details of admission
test will be available at RUHS website. Please refer to RUHS website regularly for latest update.
1- Admission Test (Examination) scheme
RUHS Ph.D. Admission Test 2024 shall consist of two parts:
Part I: Admission test: 100 marks
Admission test shall be held in the following papers (in English language). Subject for each paper,
type of questions and total marks in each paper are given in the table below:

Paper-1 will be common to all candidates and will include questions on teaching aptitude, research
aptitude, reading comprehension, communication, reasoning (including mathematical), logical
reasoning, data interpretation, information and communication technology.

Part II: Interview 10 marks.
The following criteria of weightage will be used to award marks to the candidates appearing for the
interview:

Past academic record of the candidate:

Graduation (70% or above – 2, 60% or above – 1): 02

RUHS Ph.D. Admission Test 2024 will be conducted on the following dates as per the programme
given below:

The appearance in the admission test will not confer any right upon the candidate to be admitted
to Ph.D.
Each question shall have four options to answer, out of which only one shall be correct. (+1) mark
shall be awarded for each correct answer, (0) mark for an incorrect answer or un-attempted
questions.
3- Instructions for appearing in the admission test
1. The RUHS Ph.D. Admission Test-2024 shall be held at Jaipur at RUHS or at other examination
center to be notified on RUHS website. All candidates are required to appear in the admission
test at their own expenses. No TA/DA will be paid.
2. Admit card with relevant instructions shall be available from the RUHS website.
CHOICE FILLING
After appearing in the entrance examination, to participate in the interview / counseling process,
candidates will be required to fill choices of the supervisors (in order of preference) by paying INR
1600 (one thousand six hundred only) as counseling fee (non-refundable). Guidelines for
filling the choices and making on-line payment of counseling fee will be available at the RUHS
website in due course.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
All candidates who secure a minimum of 50% marks in the RUHS Ph.D Admission Test 2024 will be
declared successful in the admission test and will be called for interview. A relaxation of 5% marks
will be allowed in the entrance examination for the candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC NCL /
MBC NCL / PwD / EWS candidates of Rajasthan State.
The names of all such candidates shall be notified on the website of the university.
The allocation of the supervisor(s) to a selected candidate shall be done by the interview board
keeping in view the number of vacant seats available with supervisors, the available specialization
among the supervisors, and the research interest of the candidate as indicated by him/her during
the interview. The allotment/allocation of supervisor shall not be left to the individual candidate or
supervisor. At the time of interview by the interview board, the candidates are expected to discuss
their research interest(s). The decision of the interview board shall be final and binding.

For part time Ph.D. programme, all in-service candidates must have completed one year
professional experience by the day of the interview and submit
i. the one year professional experience certificate at the time of interview
ii. NOC (from present employer for pursuing Ph.D.) within a period of maximum 45 days of
date of declaration of supervisor allotment
failing which such candidates will be considered for full time Ph.D. programme (as non-service
candidates).
The candidate would have to produce the following original documents and one set of attested
photo copies at the time of interview.
a. Mark-sheets of passing the undergraduate and post graduate examinations and of the higher
examination, if any.
b. Secondary School Examination Certificate.
c. Reservation category certificate issued by the competent authority, if applicable.
d. PwD certificate issued by competent authority, if applicable.
e. NOC from present employer for pursuing Ph.D. (if willing to be considered for Part Time Ph.D.)
(within a period of maximum 45 days of date of declaration of supervisor allotment)
f. Experience Certificate having one year professional experience after P.G. degree (if willing to be
considered for Part Time Ph.D.)
g. Duly signed undertaking form (proforma to be made available on RUHS website).
The interview board, based on the marks obtained in the Ph.D. Admission Test 2024 and interview,
shall recommend the names of the candidates, in order of merit, for the admission to the Ph. D.
program, along with the names of a supervisor and place of work (allotted instituted), for each
candidate.
Candidates securing equal marks in the Ph.D. Admission Test 2024 and interview (taken together)
will be placed in merit in the following order of preference:
a. One who has secured higher percentage of marks in the postgraduate examination.
b. Among candidates securing equal percentage of marks in the postgraduate examination, who have
secured more marks in undergraduate examination will be given preference.
RUHS shall issue allotment letter (after submission of NOC in case of in-service candidates) to such
candidates to be submitted to the allotted institute.
All candidates declared successful for admission to Ph.D. programme after the interview, shall
have to complete rest of the admission process as per the schedule and follow the RUHS
guidelines, as amended from time to time for admission to Ph.D. programme prepared on the
basis of UGC regulations 2016 (with amendments).
After joining the allotted Ph.D (full time or part time), there will be no change from full
time Ph.D to part time Ph.D or from part time Ph.D to full time Ph.D.
A candidate registered for full time Ph.D programme will not be permitted to take up any
other full time regular course or join any service / job, during Ph.D programme.
Part time Ph.D. programme is applicable only for in-service candidates (permanent
regular employee) having one year professional experience.

Note: In case of any other mode of admission, separate instructions / guidelines will be provided
to the candidates through newspapers / website etc.
All the judgments relevant to these admissions, passed by any Hon’ble court of justice as well as
rules existing at the time of making admissions will be applicable on these admissions and shall be
binding on all the candidates.
Important to note: If at any stage, it is found that a non-eligible candidate gets admission in a
course, then the admission of such a candidate will be cancelled on detection. A legal action shall
be initiated against such candidate.
DEPOSITION OF FEE AND DOCUMENTS
At the time of reporting in the allotted institute, the candidates will have to deposit the allotment
letter issued by RUHS, five recent passport size color photographs, specified fee and the relevant
documents in original alongwith their attested photocopies.
Except college caution money amount, all other fees, once deposited, are non-refundable.
The admissions shall be treated as provisional subject to the final decision of any pending case(s)
in any court of law, if applicable to these admissions. Further, the provisional status of admission
shall stand cleared only after enrolment by the university.
