Section 1: Duas for the Body and Physical Health

1. Dua for Wellness in Body, Hearing, and Sight

Arabic:

،‫ الَّلُهَّم َعاِفِني ِفي َبَصِري‬،‫ الَّلُهَّم َعاِفِني ِفي َسْمِعي‬،‫الَّلُهَّم َعاِفِني ِفي َبَدِني‬
‫َأ‬
‫اَل ِإَلَه ِإاَّل ْنَت‬
Translation:

O Allah, grant well-being to my body, O Allah, grant well-being to


my hearing, O Allah, grant well-being to my sight. There is no deity
but You.

Virtue or Reward:

A beautiful and comprehensive dua for physical health, narrated as


part of the morning and evening adhkār.

2. Dua for Cure from Illness

Arabic:

، ‫ اَل ِش َفاَء ِإاَّل ِش َفاُؤَك‬،‫ اْش ِف َأْنَت الَّش اِفي‬، ‫ َأْذِهِب اْلَبْأَس‬، ‫الَّلُهَّم َر َّب الَّناِس‬
‫ِش َفاًء اَل ُيَغاِدُر َس َقًما‬
Translation:

O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the harm and cure [him/her],


You are the Healer, there is no healing except Your healing, a
healing that leaves behind no disease.

Virtue or Reward:

A powerful prophetic supplication for curing the sick.

‫ْأ‬
‫ َطُهوٌر ِإْن َش اَء الَّلُه‬، ‫اَل َب َس‬
Translation:

No harm, it will be a purification, if Allah wills.

Translation:

O Allah, I seek refuge with You from leprosy, madness, mutilation,


and all evil diseases.

Virtue or Reward:

A general protective dua from severe physical illnesses.

In the Name of Allah, I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah
from the evil of what I feel and what I fear.

from pain.

O Allah, bless us in our bodies, in our hearing, and in our sight.

Translation:

Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of
the merciful.

Virtue or Reward:

Dua of Prophet Ayyub (Job), known for his extreme patience in

Translation:

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from worry and grief, from weakness
and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, from being
overcome by debt and overpowered by men.

Virtue or Reward:

A comprehensive protection from emotional, mental, and financial


stress.

the wrongdoers.

Prophet Yunus (‫ )عليه السالم‬recited this in the belly of the whale—

Translation:

Those who believe and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance
of Allah. Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.

Virtue or Reward:

Qur’anic reassurance for calmness through Dhikr (remembrance of


Allah).

the blink of an eye, and rectify all of my affairs. There is no deity
except You.

Grants inner peace, acceptance, and calm faith.

O Allah, I ask You by my testimony that You are Allah, there is no


god but You, the One, the Self-Sufficient, who neither begets nor is
born, and none is like unto Him.

Dua taught by the Prophet (‫ )صلى الله عليه وسلم‬for relief from
sorrow and overwhelming grief.

1. Dua for Strength, Ability, and Dependence on Allah

Arabic:
‫ َوَأْنَت َتْجَعُل اْلَحْزَن ِإَذا ِش ْئَت َس ْهاًل‬، ‫الَّلُهَّم اَل َس ْهَل ِإاَّل َما َجَعْلَتُه َس ْهاًل‬

Translation:

O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy. And You can
make hardship, if You wish, easy.

Virtue or Reward:

A powerful dua to gain inner strength and overcome difficulty with


divine help.

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from helplessness and laziness, from


cowardice and old age; and I seek refuge in You from the
punishment of the grave and the trials of life and death.

Boosts inner willpower, bravery, and ability to face the difficulties


of life and aging.

Translation:

My Lord, expand for me my chest, ease my task for me, and untie

‫َر ِّب ِإِّني َوَهَن اْلَعْظُم ِمِّني َواْش َتَعَل الَّر ُس َش ْيًبا َوَلْم ُكن ِبُدَعاِئَك َر ِّب‬
‫َش ِقًّيا‬
Translation:

My Lord, indeed my bones have weakened, and my head has filled


with white hair, but never have I been disappointed in my
supplication to You, my Lord.

Virtue or Reward:

Dua for strength renewal, divine favor even in frailty, and reward
of answered prayers.

‫اَل ِإَٰلَه ِإاَّل نَت‬
Translation:

O Allah, grant health to my body. O Allah, grant health to my


hearing. O Allah, grant health to my sight. There is no god but You.

Virtue or Reward:
Daily safeguarding of body, hearing, and vision; the Prophet ( ‫صلى‬
‫ )الله عليه وسلم‬taught this to be said morning and evening.

Translation:

O Allah, I seek refuge in You from leprosy, insanity, mutilation, and


all terrible diseases.

A holistic protection from all external and internal diseases.

‫ِش َفاًء اَل ُيَغاِدُر َس َقًما‬
Translation:

O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the harm and heal [him/her];


You are the Healer. There is no healing except Yours—a healing
that leaves no illness behind.

Virtue or Reward:

A master healing dua covering all ailments, both visible and hidden.

‫الَّس ِميُع اْلَعِليُم‬
Translation:

In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the


heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

Virtue or Reward:

Three recitations in the morning and evening safeguard body and


soul from all harm.

Said before sleep—brings holistic peace, protection, and


rejuvenation.
