- A temporary housing solution in Nanakramguda, Hyderabad, for 100 construction workers, focusing on comfort, community, and sustainability.

- Nanakramguda, Hyderabad, adjacent to Rajapushpa Eterna.

SITE DETAILS:
- Area: 0.6 Acre (2500 SQ.M)
- Occupancy: 25% families (4 members), 75% single occupants

KEY OBJECTIVES:
- Provide dignified, comfortable living conditions.
- Foster community interaction with shared amenities. SETBACKS ARE FIRST DRAWN TO THE SITE. THEN, 90 DEGREE LINES ARE DRAWN FROM
- Ensure sustainability and efficient space utilization. THE CORNERS OF THE SITE AFTER DRAWING
THE SETBACKS.

SUSTAINABILITY FEATURES:

- Monsoon: June to September, with moderate to heavy rainfall (average 750-800 mm annually).
- Winter: Mild and pleasant (November to February), temperatures range from 14°C to 28°C.
- Humidity: Moderate to high during monsoons, low in summers.
- Wind: In Monsoon Southwest to Northeast and in Winter Northeast to Southeast.

DESIGN INSPIRATION:
- The design for the BOCW Housing project draws inspiration from the form and functionality of a fidget spinner. Just as a fidget spinner balances its four arms around a central pivot, MATERIALS: ADVANTAGES OF THE MATERAILS:
this design envisions the site as a dynamic, well-balanced entity that harmonizes functionality, community, and aesthetics.
- Each "arm" of the spinner symbolizes a core aspect of the project: ROOF: Corrugated metal sheets - Corrugated Metal Sheets : Lightweight, durable, weather-resistant, recyclable.
- Living Spaces: Compact, efficient, and dignified housing units designed for comfort and privacy. - Honeycomb Sandwich Panels: Strong, insulated, modular, sustainable.
WALLS: Prefab honeycomb sandwich panels.
- Community Areas: Shared amenities like the kitchen, dining space, community hall, and open play zones that foster interaction and togetherness.
WINDOWS: UPVC - UPVC: Durable, low-maintenance, insulated, corrosion-free.
- Sustainability Features: Eco-friendly design elements, including passive cooling, rainwater harvesting, toilets and energy-efficient solutions.
- The central pivot represents the heart of the community, symbolizing unity, accessibility,inclusivity and social interaction. Just as the fidget spinner maintains balance and fluidity, the DOORS: PVC - PVC: Lightweight, moisture-resistant, affordable, versatile.
design ensures optimal space utilization, seamless circulation, and a strong connection between the residential, communal, and open areas.
- This analogy beautifully aligns with the project’s goal of creating a cohesive and functional living environment while celebrating balance, movement, and shared experiences.
