DESIGN INSPIRATION:
- The design for the BOCW Housing project draws inspiration from the form and functionality of a fidget spinner. Just as a fidget spinner balances its four arms around a central pivot, MATERIALS: ADVANTAGES OF THE MATERAILS:
this design envisions the site as a dynamic, well-balanced entity that harmonizes functionality, community, and aesthetics.
- Each "arm" of the spinner symbolizes a core aspect of the project: ROOF: Corrugated metal sheets - Corrugated Metal Sheets : Lightweight, durable, weather-resistant, recyclable.
- Living Spaces: Compact, efficient, and dignified housing units designed for comfort and privacy. - Honeycomb Sandwich Panels: Strong, insulated, modular, sustainable.
WALLS: Prefab honeycomb sandwich panels.
- Community Areas: Shared amenities like the kitchen, dining space, community hall, and open play zones that foster interaction and togetherness.
WINDOWS: UPVC - UPVC: Durable, low-maintenance, insulated, corrosion-free.
- Sustainability Features: Eco-friendly design elements, including passive cooling, rainwater harvesting, toilets and energy-efficient solutions.
- The central pivot represents the heart of the community, symbolizing unity, accessibility, inclusivity and social interaction. Just as the fidget spinner maintains balance and fluidity, the DOORS: PVC - PVC: Lightweight, moisture-resistant, affordable, versatile.
design ensures optimal space utilization, seamless circulation, and a strong connection between the residential, communal, and open areas.
- This analogy beautifully aligns with the project’s goal of creating a cohesive and functional living environment while celebrating balance, movement, and shared experiences.
