Wrist Rib
CO 44 stitches with color Band the small circular needle. Work 4 cm rib *knit 1, purl 1*.
Hand
Change to the larger circular needle and work in the round according to diagram 1 and 2.
Increase for the thumb using color Bafter 7 rounds. The thumb is only worked in color B.
Increase
Right mitten
Increase for the thumb around the 1st stitch at the beginning of diagram 2.
Row 1: yarn over, knit 1, yarn over = 3 stitches
Row 2: work according to diagram, working the yarn over knitwise TBL
Row 3: yarn over, knit 3, yarn over = 5 stitches
Row 4: work according to diagram, working the yarn over knitwise TBL
Row 5: yarn over, knit 5, yarn over = 7 stitches
Row 6: work according to diagram, working the yarn over knitwise TBL
Row 7: yarn over, knit 7, yarn over = 9 stitches
Row 8: work according to diagram, working the yarn over knitwise TBL
Row 9: yarn over, knit 9 yarn over = 11 stitches

Slip the 13 thumb-stitches on to a stitch holder or thread. In next round, CO 1 new stitch
above the thumb-stitches.
Divide the stitches, so you have 22 on each half of the mitten. Divide the stitches, so the new
stitch is the first stitch on the right mitten and the last stitch on the left mitten.
Continue working according to diagram until piece measures 18 cm, after the rib.
Decrease
Insert a marker around the stitch in color Bin the middle of the diagram. Decrease by
knitting 1 stitch in color Btogether with 1 stitch from the diagram, repeat on each round 9
times = 8 stitches. See diagram.
Begin working the round as follows: knit 2 together, continue in knit stitches until 2 stitches
remain before marker, knit 2 together TBL, knit 2 together, continue in knit stitches until 2
stitches remain before marker and knit 2 together TBL.
Break yarn and pull through remaining stitches, tighten and fasten off.
Thumb
Place the stitches from the thumb back on to the needle. Pick up 3 stitches with color B
along the edge and work the thumb in the round until it measures 4,5 (5) 5,5 cm.

Decrease
Knit all stitches together 2 and 2. Break yarn and pull through remaining stitches, tighten and
fasten off.
Left mitten
Work as right mitten but increase for the thumb around the last stitch in diagram 2.
