8 Channel Strobe Chaser
The Anytronics 8 Channel Strobe Chaser is an economic and easy to operate strobe controller for use with any strobe requiring a +10V pulse. It has two sequences; a 1 8 chase and an all flash, and these can be driven by either the internal clock pulse or by the bass beat of the music. A novel feature of this unit is its ability to detect how many channels of the controller are in use, and then adjust the sequence length accordingly. This allows less than the maximum eight channels to be used without having dead spots in the sequence run. The speed control gives a range of approximately 1 15 flashes per second. There is a freeze switch and an all flash switch which flashes all channels at full speed and overrides all other functions. The eight channel jack sockets are all to be found at the rear of the unit. The enable jack, like the channel sockets, is a mono socket which turns off the output of the controller when a plug is inserted. Applying 10V to the tip of the plug will enable the controller. The unit is available in two formats; rack mounting 19 x 2U and Module 3 size, designed to fit in our Skeleton Panel as part of the Anytronics Modular Lighting Control System. ESC Module 1
Module 3 Version
ESC Extension Speed Control
The Anytronics ESC Extension Speed Control is a powerless remote speed control, which can be used with Superstar Strobe MkII, Megastar Strobe, Deathstar Strobe. The unit consists of a rotary speed control, on/off push button switch and momentary action flash button, which when pressed once will give a single flash. When the button is held down, the strobe will flash at maximum speed. Connection of the two units is via a 2 core jack to jack lead; the action of inserting the jack to the ESC socket on the rear of the strobe will disable the strobes own speed control. The ESC is another component of the Anytronics Modular Lighting Control System and can be panel mounted onto the Module 6 19 x 3U rack panel, or is available as a freestanding unit - see current price list for other components available in the Modular Control System Range.
Superstar Strobe MkII
The Anytronics Superstar Strobe MkII is probably the most versatile high powered strobe on the market today. It is housed in a steel enclosure complete with swivel stand/ hanging bracket. The strobe uses a circuit which overcomes the problem of current surge at switch on. The circuit incorporates its own internal oscillator with speed adjustment from 1 12.5FPS, and fully isolated external inputs via 2 jack sockets (the extra socket may be used for Daisy Chaining multiple strobes on one channel). A limiter is fitted to prevent the external flash rate exceeding 16FPS. A unique feature of the Anytronics Superstar Strobe MkII is the 2 position Flash Flash output, which is built in via a jack socket on the rear panel. It will give either a 100mS delayed trigger pulse after the flash has occurred, or a simultaneous trigger pulse by operating a switch on the rear of the unit. This pulse can be used to fire adjacent strobes. When several units are coupled in a chain, a whip effect is created without using a complex controller; the effect being controlled either by the oscillator in the first strobe in the chain, or from an external trigger source. This feature can be used to
create a wide variety of effects by different arrangements of interconnecting leads. A fourth jack socket is fitted to the Superstar Strobe MkII for connection to the ESC (Extension Speed Control) or remote control unit.

Strobe Pod
The Anytronics Strobe Pod is similar in specification to the Superstar Slave Strobe, and has been designed to fit into a PAR 64 Lantern. It is fitted to the unit in the same way as the lamp. Features include a highly polished anodized reflector and fully isolated external inputs via two jack sockets (the extra socket may be used for Daisy Chaining multiple strobes on one channel). A limiter is fitted to prevent the flash rate exceeding 16FPS. The unit comes complete with power on indicator and 2m mains lead. Technical Specification

Deathstar Strobe
The Anytronics Deathstar Strobe is an ultra high powered strobe giving approximately twice the light output of the Megastar. The strobe is housed in a modified Megastar chassis incorporating two 80mm fans, 3 pin male and female locking XLR sockets for external triggering, toughened glass filter, in addition to all other facilities found on the Megastar Strobe.

Megastar Strobe MkII
The Anytronics Megastar Strobe MkII is probably the most versatile linear tube strobe on the market today. It is housed in a steel enclosure complete with hanging bracket. The strobe uses a 1500W linear tube together with a mirror finished aluminium reflector for maximum light output. Unlike some other strobes on the market, the Megastar Strobe is very quiet when it fires making it ideal for use in theatre or studio environments where background noise needs to be kept to a minimum.
The strobe has its own internal oscillator with speed adjustment for 1 10FPS and fully isolated external inputs via two jack sockets. A unique feature of all Anytronics Strobes is the 2 position Flip Flash output. This is available from a jack socket on the rear panel. This will give either a 100mS delayed trigger pulse after the flash has occured, or a simultaneous trigger pulse, by simply operating the adjacent push button switch. This pulse can be used to fire adjacent strobes. When several units are coupled in a chain, a whip effect can be created without using a complex controller; the effect being controlled either by the oscillator in the first strobe of the chain, or from an external trigger source. This feature can be used to create a wide variety of effects by different arrangements of interconnecting leads. This combined with its high light output makes it ideal for special effects, such as lightning. A 4th jack socket is fitted for connection to the ESC (Extension Speed Control). A considerable amount of heat is generated by the tube in this high powered unit. A fan will be activated by a thermal switch if the unit is used frequently. In the event of fan failure or the unit being used excessively and overheating, a further switch will shut the unit down until an acceptable temperature is reached.
DMX512 Option
A DMX decode card is available as an option on both Megastar and Deathstar strobes. This will provide a pulse to fire the strobe when the 50% (MSB) DMX level is detected, and so a chase will need to be programmed on the controller to set the flash rate of the strobe. If the dual edge trigger switch is in position D then the strobe will flash at twice the rate set on the sequence. DMX in/through is via one male and one female 5 pin XLR socket fitted to the rear of the strobe (see photograph). There is a 10 way DIL switch for address setting and single (S) / dual (D) edge trigger selection (see above). The sum of selected switches equal start address. The card actually decodes two channels so the second channel has been routed to the middle contact of the stereo jack sockets marked Flip-Flash output, and may be used to trigger a non DMX strobe from a DMX controller.
