29th Wayne Invitational May 1 and 2 2025

The 29th annual Wayne Invitational will once again showcase some of the best
track and field talent in the state. This 2-day meet will bring in over 80 schools
throughout the state of Ohio and will no doubt lead to some meet records broken,
as well as some state leading marks.

Here’s a breakdown of the student-athletes expected to compete-

BOYS SPRINTS 100m-200m-400m

In the boys, speed will be in abundance as the field will boast plenty. Host school
Wayne will have super-sophomore Jamier Averette-Brown, who owns a personal
best time of 10.47 in the 100 meter dash. Brookville’s Coy Hyre (10.48 pr) and
Vandalia-Butlers Jordan Gross (10.47) are also represented. Those three athletes
are the 3 top ranked athletes in that event in the state so far. Caleb Carlisle (New
Philadelphia 10.55) , Reggie Tate (Westerville North 10.74), Jamie Priest
(Trotwood 10.75), Payton Mayfield (Milton-Union 10.80), Ziere Alson (Centerville
10.88), Max Johnson (Middletown 10.86),Payton Caudill (Minford 10.93) and Will
Strong (Tippecanoe 10.95) will highlight the 100 meter dash.

Key’shawn Garrett of Wayne owns the state #1 time in the 200 meter dash,
running 21.20. Teammate Averette-Brown owns a best of 21.37. Brookville Hyre
(21.16 pr), Butlers Gross (21.39 pr), Lakota West Nimoh (21.69), Jay’vier Kerr
Glenville (21.73), Kaleb Ellerbe of Beavercreek (21.88), Mayfield (Milton Union
21.90), Caudill (Minford 21.92), Max Johsnnon (Middletown 22.01), Shane
Strayhorn (St. Xavier 22.04),Brennan Johnson (Kings 22.07), Nick Herubin
(Olentangy Orange 22.09), Will Strong (Tippecanoe 22.12 ) round out another
strong list of competitors in this event.

Kaleb Ellerbe of Beavercreek owns the state's fastest 400 meter dash time with a
blistering 47.12 (46.99 pr) and will highlight an impressive field in this event. There
are nine more athletes entered with sub 50 second times; Butlers Brayden
Thaxton (48.81), Milton-Union’s Mayfield (49.32), Butlers Levi Campbell (49.37),
Princeton’s Jared Farley (49.51), Gabe McNeil Lancaster (49.64), Jay’vier Kerr
Glenville (49.64) Olentangy Orange Herubin (49.68), Sidney's Julius Spradling
(49.72) and Beavercreek’s Gio Louprasong (49.91)
BOYS HURDLES -

Fairmont’s Logan Wilkins comes in with the fastest 110 Hurdle time in the state
with a 14.04. Wayne sophomore Keng Martin is next with a best of 14.29.
Batavia’s Marcus Hughbanks (14.45), Springfield’s Braylon Keyes (14.57), Lakota
East Mo Gueye (14.82), Olen. Berlin Miles King (14.85), Fairmont’s Broderick
Brittle (14.90), Dane Duling (Ottowa-Glandorf 14.90) and Day’Lynn Garrett of
Covington (14.91). This race is shaping up to have possibly a sub 14 second for
the winner.

The 300 hurdles seem to have the same names as the 110 hurdles. Miles King of
Olen. Berlin owns the best 300 hurdle time with a 37.60, but Wayne’s Keng Martin
is close by with a 37.99. Batavia’s Hughbanks (38.53), Fairmont’s Wilkins (38.55),
Duling from Ottawa-Glandorf (39.01), Elijah Heitkamp of Fort Loramie (39.24),
Springfield’s Keyes (39.55), Garrett of Covington (39.77), and Caudill of Minford
(39.86) rounds out another impressive field.

Relays

4x100

Wayne owns the state best time with a 41.24. Vandalia-Butler has gone 42.26,
Brookville 42.28, Kings 42.72, Glenville 42.76, Trotwood-Madison 42.77 and Olen.
Orange 42.89 are the top 7 times in this event. If conditions are right, we could
see a team sub 41 seconds.

4x200

Wayne (1:25.88) and Vandalia Butler have a 1:27.43 - as these are the 2 of the
top 3 times in the state so far. Glenville 1:27.93, Kings 1:28.42, Miamisburg
1:29.08, Trotwood 1:29.34, Beavercreek 1:29.42, Westerville North’s 1:29.57,
Centerville 1:29.82, Meadowdale 1:29.87, Olen. Orange 1:30.22, St. Xavier
1:30.83 and Batavia 1:30.47 round out the field where 14 teams are under 1:31.

4x400
Vandalia-Butler has the state leading time with a 3:18.37, followed by Glenville
(3:19.97), Wayne (3:22.28), Beavercreek (3:23.78), Lakota West (3:23.90),
Princeton (3:24.51), Trotwood-Madison (3:24.88), Centerville (3:24.96), Valley
View (3:25.11), Brookville (3:25.47), Tippecanoe (3:25.74) and Olentangy Orange
(3:25.76) are the twelve teams under 3:26 so far this season.

Shuttle Hurdles - 4x110 36”


Wayne has the state leading time with a 59.68.

Distance-

Last year, we saw four 3200 athletes under 9 minutes in the race, and also saw
9:05.98 was 9th place. Let’s look at the field for 2025

1600 meter run

Landen Eyre of Whiteoak has the fastest time coming in at 4:14.87, followed by
Jackson Davis of Beavercreek (4:14.92), Samuel Daramine of Springboro
(4:15.15), Matthew Penkowski of Mentor (4:16.09), Tyler Graham 4:17.20 of
Dublin Jerome, Brock Jarrett of Lancaster (4:17.21),Casey Carlos of Westerville
North (4:18.62), Cameron Carn of London (4:18.64),Findlay’s Adrian Stechschulte
(4:18.81), Ethan Ishada (4:19.20), Ty Rosengarten of Ottawa-Glandorf
(4:19.53),Blake Gibbs of Lakota East (4:21.49), Dennis Devine of Walnut Hills
(4:21.52),Max Bixler of Talawanda (4:21.69), Noah Burgh of Piqua (4:22.46),
Wyatt Lendon of New Philadelphia (4:23.71), Rielly Meyer of Lakota East
(4:24.27), David Franz St. Xavier (4:25.32), Cameron Lyndsey of Oakwood
(4:25.52), Bradyn Allender of Olentangy Orange 4:26.14, Mannie WIlliams of
Oakwood (4:26.31), Anthony Shoaf of London (4:26.86) are the top 23 times
entered in this event.

3200 meter run

Springboro’s Samuel Darmanie has the fastest time with a 9:05.47 (2nd fastest
time in the state) followed by Matthew Schroff of Olentangy Orange (9:05.98).
Landen Eyre of Whiteoak comes in with a 9:10.07, Charles Guerrera of Dublin
Jerome (9:10.20), Billy Dennison of Mentor (9:16.43), Marcus Adelman of New
Philadelphia (9:18.87), Noah Burgh of Piqua (9:19.70), MIchael Kinzer of Dublin
Scioto (9:21.40), Tate Ruthers of Sheridan (9:21.79), Norman McKinley of Dublin
Scioto (9:24.39), Dennis Devine Walnut Hills (9:25.56), Bennett Lehman Ansonia
(9:27.53), Jeffery Kerns of Westerville North (9:27.97), Lincoln Kelly Dublin Jerome
(9:28.65), Aiden Allen Beavercreek (9:28.66), Andrew Rohde Stuebenville
(9:29.67), Vansh Sethi Olen. Berlin (9:37.27), Carter Davis of Lancaster (9:38.17)
and Wayne’s Yohannes Birhane (9:39.52) round out yet another impressive field.

800 meter run


This field boasts 20 athletes with a sub 2 minute entry time, led by Findlay’s Adrian
Stechschulte with a time of 1:54.70, then St. Xavier’s Jack Nesbit (1:55.10),
Centerville’s Daniel Emmert (1:55.12), Tayven Crump of Butler (1:55.39),
Westerville North’s Gabriel Wise (1:55.53), Dublin Jerome’s Ethan Ishada
(1:55.94), Mentor’s Aiden Shiels (1:56.59), Brookville’s Lucas Tipton (1:56.80),
Batavia’s David Flandermeyer (1:56.95), Bethel’s Kade Schweikhardt (1:57.11),
Lancaster’s Gabe McNeil (1:57.86), Masen Vogt of Ottawa-Glandorf (1:57.95),
Connor Norman of Miamisburg (1:58.09), New Philadelphia duo of Alec Adelmen
(1:58.40) and Wyatt Lendon (1:58.57) , Eaton’s Wes Kitchin (1:58.64), Quinn
Robinson of Dublin Scioto (1:59.60), Trevor Kuhlman of Cin. CHCA (1:59.64),
Matthew Slone of Lakota East (1:59.73) and Kory Snyder of Butler (1:59.77).

4x800 relay
St. Xavier (7:58.95) owns the best time in the field, however watch out for Butler’s
quartet that all return from last year’s state team that went 7:52. Ottawa- Glandorf
(8:06.90), Centerville (8:07.98) and Troy (8:08.38) are the top teams under 8:10.

Distance Medley (1200-400-800-1600)

The top teams entered will be Dublin Jerome, Centerville, Lancaster, Springboro,
St.Xavier, Kings, Westerville North and Ottawa-Glandorf.

In the field event, the premier event is the boys’ pole vault, with current Div. 1 state
record holder from Sidney, Garrett Guinther, who has leaped 17-3.25 so far. There
are four athletes that have also cleared 15 feet as well; Cade Shellhaas from
Ansonia (15-4), Curtis Rempe from CIn. CHCA (15-2), Piqua’s Carson Holvogt
(15-00) and Valley View sophomore Neal Owen (15-0.75). Dayton Christian’s
Lukas Ross has gone 14-8, St. Xavier James Theobald has gone 14-6, Nate Good
of Ansonia 14-4, Ryder Holgvogt of Piqua 14-4, Beckett Simpson of St. Xavier
14-4, TJ Murray of Troy 14-3 and Alex Schroeder of Ottawa-Glandorf at 14-0
round out a great field in the pole vault that has 12 over 14 feet.
In the throws- 10 throwers in the discus are over 150 feet, led by Crew Estep of
Northwestern, who has thrown 171-1. Levi Glassmeyer of Miami East has tossed
the discus 166-1, while Ivan Sinkowski of Dublin Scioto has gone 161-5. Wayne’s
Skyler Hughes (159-10), Cole Fetzer of Hilliard Bradley (158-2), Chris Smith of
Miami East (154-8), Wayne’s Larreon Brodie (154-6), Hatem Mhamed of Northland
(153-3), and Gavin Newberg of Tippecanoe (150-0) are your top throwers.
In the shot put, Crew Estep of Northwestern is the leader here as well, throwing
56-8. Sidney’s Luke Carter has gone 53-10, Brookville Xavier Stacy has gone
53-6.25, Gavin Farmer of Lancaster 52-3.5 are your top shot put entries.

Jumps-
In the High jump, Miami Valley School Thomas Cooke brings an impressive 6-8
jump to the competition, followed by Trey Sellers of Tippecanoe (6-7), Wayne’s
Anotonio Enayzi (6-6), Preston King of Covington (6-5), Kings Jason Frisk
(6-4.25), Greenville’s David Conway (6-4) and Johnny Barr (6-3). Also clearing
6-3 are Wayne’s Justin Sanderson and Miamisburg’s Alex Anderson.

In the long jump, Wayne’s Key’Shawn Garrett has gone 23-02 already this year
and owns a pr of 23-5.75. Will Strong of Tippecanoe has gone 22-8, Glenville’s
London Hearn has gone 22-1.5, while Max Decard of Tipppecanoe has gone 22-0.

In the triple jump - Wayne’s Braylon Byrd and Springboro’s Bright Sibomana have
gone 43-4.75. Kofi Asare of Westerville North has gone 43-0

Girls preview

The field for the girls portion of this meet is just as exciting as the boys. Let’s start
with the sprints:

100 meter dash

Wayne’s duo of Te’aira Branham-Patrick (11.74) and Trinity Bibbs (11.88), along
with Lakota East Heaven Wills (11.71) highlight the top three entered under 12
seconds. Also competing are Chloe Hamilton of Mercy McCauley (12.08),
Gahanna Lincoln duo of Mariah Dixon (12.10) and Aliyah Bennett (12.25),
Centerville’s Samaria WIlliams (1219) Ottawa-Glandorf’s Alivia Grothause (12.29),
Lakota East Ivy Smith (12.32), Chaminade Julienne’s duo of Chloe Williams
(12.32) and Sydney Haywood (12.41).

200 meter dash


Wayne’s duo again of Te’aira Branham-Patrick (24.25 pr) and Trinity Bibbs (24.39
pr) along with Gahanna Lincoln’s Aliyah Bennett (24.72) and Lakota East duo of
Ivy Smith(24.83) and Heaven Wills (24.94) and Samaria Williams of Centerville
(24.92) are the six under 25 seconds. Also to watch are Chaminade Julienne’s
Cloie Williams (25.27), Ottawa-Glandorf Alivia Grothause (25.30), Khatlyn Rufaro
of Thurgood Marshall (25.48), Kat Drovdlic of Hilliard Bradley (25.53), Chloe
Hamilton of Mercy McCauley( 25.73) and Brionna Wright of Gahanna Lincoln
(25.80).

400 Meter dash

This field has 12 girls under 60 seconds, led by Madeira’s Vivian Momper (56.61).
She will be pushed by Lakota East Haylie Yeazell (57.20), Wayne’s freshman
Ma’Khayla Bass (57.91) and Valley View’s Hayden Sorrell (57.93). Rounding out
the impressive field is Alissa Magato from Tippecanoe (58.46), Oakowoods Mia
Allard (58.66), Ursuline Academy Grace Stout (58.78), Cici Harris from Westerville
North (58.80), Qiersten McClain of Lakota East (59.21), Khaytlyn Rufaro of
Thurgood Marshall (59.67), Olivea Stanley (Fairborn 59.71 ) and Briley Barton of
TIppecanoe (59.91).

Relays
4x100
Gahanna Lincoln is the queen of this race, having already gone 47.47. But Watch
out for Lakota East (48.08), Tippecanoe (49.14), Chaminade Julienne (49.23)
Wayne (49.36), Troy (49.70) and Springfield (49.94) as any of these teams have a
chance.

4x200
Gahanna Lincoln is tops again, posting a 1:40.52 time already, followed closely by
Wayne (1:42.01), Lakota East (1:43.87), Tippecanoe (1:44.48) and Chaminade
Julienne (1:44.62)

4x400
Madeira comes in with a time under 4 minutes (3:51.53), along with Centerville
(3:55.31) They will be pushed, however, by Valley View (4:01.41), Lakota East
(4:02.66), Butler (4:03.83), Ft. Loramie (4:04.52), Beavercreek (4:05.04),
Tippecanoe (4:05.27), Northmont (4:06.14), Wayne (4:06.17), Oakwood (4:07.32).
Ottawa-Glandorf (4:07.34) and Gahanna Lincoln (4:09.71). With 13 teams under
4:10, its anyone’s race.

100 Hurdles
Beavercreek Faith Brown is the favorite here, already posting a time of 14.12. The
defending Wayne Invitational champion will have competition from Latroian
Freeman of Gahanna Lincoln (14.42), Mikaylah Chandler Lakota East (14.66),
Ariel Heitkamp of Ft. Loramie (14.90) and Maeve Ruble of Kings (15.21).

300 Hurdles
Kaitlyn Pham of Lakota East has posted the fastest time with a mark of 43.84,
followed by Faith Brown of Beavercreek (44.36), Ariel Heitkamp of Ft. Loramie
(44.79), Latorian Freeman of Gahanna Lincoln (45.01), Kareena Vandervort
(45.54) and sister Karenza (46.05) from Butler round out the top times.

Shuttle hurdles 4x100 30”


Gahanna Lincoln comes in with the fastest time of 1:04.36.

Distance

In the 1600 meter run, Anna Buddelmeyer of Ottawa-Glandorf has the best time of
5:02.04, followed by Katy Zang of Teas Valley (5:02.91), Bella Conforti of Olen.
Orange (5:03.59), Natalie Gutman of Findlay (5:04.13), Adriana Luking of
Talawanda (5:05.71), Ashley Alsko Hilliard Davidson (5:05.21), Lucia Rodbro
Talawanda (5:05.61), Ruby Gross of Carroll (5:10.23) and Gemma Pustateri of
Hilliard Davidson 5:10.97.

In the 3200- Olentangy Orange Brook Chapman comes in with a time of 10:32.88,
while Olentangy Liberty Elena Aldrink is close by with a10:35.34. Erica Kaulen of
Hilliard Davidson comes in at 10:44.19, Lucia Rodbro of Talawanda at 10:50.72,
Anna Buddelmeyer of Ottawa-Glandorf 10:55.02, Molly Deardorf of Lakota East
11:00.00 and Ruby Lewis of Gahanna Lincoln 11:04.58 round out the field.
Distance Medley relay (1200-400-800-1600) - the top teams should be
Beavercreek, Troy, Gahanna Lincoln, Kings, Tippecanoe, and Westerville North.

In the 4x800 the top teams under 10 minutes are Centerville 9:38.06, Minster
9:40.90, Lakota East 9:41.37, Ottawa-Glandorf 9:43.01, Ft. Loramie 9:46.55,
Gahanna Lincoln 9:53.73 and Oakwood 9:59.53.

Field Events -

Girls Pole Vault will take the stage as we have twelve ladies over 11 feet and six of
them over 12 feet. Centerville’s Ann Lehman owns a career best of 12-3, Lillian
Finke of London has gone 12-2, London Reichert (Ansonia), Kennedy Harlamert
(Troy) and Alaina Freeze (Northwestern) have all cleared 12-0. Gahanna Lincoln’s
Erin Peyton (11-4), Emilee Earl of Houston (11-4), Mila Gelbart of Oakwood (11-3),
Shannon Main of Kings (11-1) and Paige Rose (Centerville 11-0)/Aubrey Crawford
(Butler 11-0) round out the impressive field.

In the Long Jump- Chaminade Julienne’s Claire Downer owns a career best of
18-4, but closely behind is Olivia Creager of Ansonia with a leap of 17-11, Megan
Stone of Tippecanoe and Cici Harris of Westerville North are at 17-4.5. Lydia
Myers of Springboro (17-1.5) and Madisyn Tyler of Stivers (17-1) represent the top
jumpers.

In the high jump competition -there are 24 jumpers over 5 feet. Leading the field is
London’s Andria Pollazek with leap of 5-6. Adriana Kremer of Minster and Alyssa
Grim of Centerville both own marks of 5-5. All at 5-4 are Pennie Perryman
(Gahanna Lincoln), Alissa Magato (Tippecanoe) Miryam Brandon (Carroll), Tierra
Johnson (Springfield ) and Claire Downer (Chaminade Julienne).

In the triple Jump- the top three jumpers are Anais Early of Beavercreek
(35-11.25), Trinity Perkins of Wayne (34-9.5) and Emma Van Horn of Beavercreek
(34-2.75).

In the throws - Troy’s Tatyana Green is the lone shot putter over 40 feet (40-4.5),
followed by Emilee Earl of Houston (39-9.25), Abigail Johnson of Beavercreek
(39-7), Taylor Scott of Springfield Northwestern (39-2.25) and Bailey Bacher of
Lakota East (38-1.5).
Emilee Earl of Houston also has the best discus throw entered with a toss of
134-9, followed by Brookelyn Schmidt of Greenville (129-10), Taylor Scott of
Springfield Northwestern (127-8), Mackenzie McClurkin of Beavercreek (126-7),
Jayce Wallace of Fairmont (124-9) and Ft. Loramie’s Julian Gaier and Madison
Snider, both throwing 122-7.

So sit back, watch some of the best student-athletes compete at the 29th Wayne
Invitational, held at Premier Fields at Heidkamp Stadium, located on the campus of
Wayne High School, May 1st and 2nd. Field events begin 3:30 both days.
Running starts at 3:45 on Thursday and Friday, with Finals beginning on Friday
approximately 6:30 pm.
