Process Trainer PT001-06
Description:
Experiments will be accomplished and better
understanding will be brought to the student
using the PT001-06 Process Trainer; a bench-
mounted, Process Trainer for Level, Flow,
Temperature, and Pressure control. It
comprises all the required sensors to perform
the previous mentioned control operations.
Uses Compact FieldPoint, or Compact RIO; an
easy-to-use, highly expandable programmable
automation controllers (PAC) composed of
rugged I/O modules and intelligent
communication interfaces.
These industrial I/O modules filter, calibrate, and scale raw sensor signals to engineering units and perform self-
diagnostics to look for problems, such as an open thermocouple.
PT001-06 curriculum discusses the basic principles of On/Off Control, PID control, Feedforward and other types of
control used in the industry using a PAC.
