INDRAPRASTHA COLLEGE FOR WOMEN

GEC-GEOGRAPHY: Climate Change and Adaptation

CONTINOUS ASSESSMENT-I

LBGN

ABOUT COLLEGE: Indraprastha College for Women, established in 1924, is celebrating a legacy of
empowering women through education. The college offers cutting-edge academic facilities, including nine
research centres and unique programs. With a focus on holistic development and women's empowerment, the
institution has completed 100-year celebration with academic expansion, infrastructure growth, and a series of
events.

ABOUT GEC PAPER: The Climate Change and Adaptation course covers the causes and impacts of climate
change, focusing on vulnerability, mitigation, and adaptation strategies. It examines both national and
international policies, including the role of global frameworks like the IPCC and UNFCCC. Students gain in-
depth knowledge of climate change issues, policy-making, and global initiatives.

ABOUT LBGN: The Little Book of Green Nudges is a practical guide aimed at reducing a campus'
environmental impact through behavioral changes. It outlines evidence-based nudges—such as choice
architecture and social influence—to encourage sustainable practices among students and staff. The guide is
designed for anyone seeking to foster positive environmental changes in universities globally, from
administrators to student leaders.

It is an initiative launched by UNEP (United Nations environment programme). There are various higher
educational institutions involved under this initiative from around the globe and our college is one of them
which makes us the students of Indraprastha college very proud and hence we are moving towards doing our
part for the institution by working on Green Nudges in our college campus.
GREEN NUDGE: ZERO WASTE INITIATIVE
Our group will be working on zero waste nudge under which we would specifically be working on
Reducing waste at the end of term and will conduct a Textbook exchange programme.
