IN YOUR OWN WORDS.
1). What is the Electoral College?
A superior group of people, who we give the power of picking the national leaders. Some state’s
electors were chosen by the legislatures and others, by popular vote.
2). Why was the Electoral College created?
It was made to ensure that a candidate with overwhelming support in only one part of the
country would not be elected over the will of the rest of the nation and to pick the
       leader’s of the nation.
3). What happens if all of the candidates for the presidency do not receive enough votes to
       become president?
The constitution says that if none of the candidates gets enough votes that the house should
elect the president from the three candidates with the most electoral votes. Each state
       gets one vote.
The Senate elects the vice president from the two candidates with the most votes. Each
       senator gets one vote.
4). Does the Constitution require electors in the Electoral College to vote how their state voted?
When the electoral college meets up to vote, the members represent the majority of their states
vote. The Constitution states that each state gets to determine how the representative
      for their state votes.
5). Provide your opinion: Should the United States keep the Electoral College or get rid of it?
Explain your answer with supporting evidence for your reasons.
I believe that the United States should disband the electoral college because even though it
may have been relevant when it was first created it is now mostly a formality and when it
is not a formality it only interferes with the vote of the people.
