EPFO E-Nomination Facility (Online Mode)
A readily available nomination facility on PF portal enables a member to easily file the online Pension
claim also in the event of sad demise of the member, his/her nominee will be able to file online claim
hassle free based on OTP on his/her Aadhaar linked mobile number, if below mentioned process has
been completed by member.
Following are the pre-requisite of New E-Nomination functionality: -
1. UAN Should be Activated
2. Verified Aadhaar Should be linked with UAN
3. Mobile Number of member should be linked with Aadhaar
4. Photo of member should be available in profile of member (Member has to upload his photo
in his profile section) (View >> Profile)
5. Permanent & Current Address Should be available in profile of member (View >>Profile)
6. Aadhaar of all the family members in e-Nomination is mandatory
7. Photo upload of all the family members in e-Nomination is mandatory
Process flow for filling of Online e-Nomination Form by member on EPFO portal is as below.

Steps to follow E-nomination facility – Unified Member Portal
Step 1: –
Visit Unified Member Portal – https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/ and login using
UAN credential. (User ID and Password)
Login ID – UAN
Enter Password

Step 2: –
Go to “View” option with drop down on the UAN Portal and click on “Profile” to check if all your personal details are
captured rightly or not as per Aadhar.
If not capture correctly, you can update it as under.
If there is any correction to be done, you can correct from the same window by clicking on “Edit” option as per
the 2nd screen shot attached as below (Highlighted in yellow)

Step 3: –
Go to “Manage” option with drop down in the UAN Portal and click on “KYC” to check if your mandatory KYC
documents
i.e. Aadhaar, PAN, Bank Account Details are updated .
If updated, just cross check them and go to Next Step. If not correctly updated the details get it corrected and
approved from employer/EPFO’s Office.
Points To Be Noted:
1. Aadhar, PAN & Bank Account details are mandatory updations for KYC verification
2. Your Name/DOB/Gender should be uniform in all KYC documents & EPF Portal, else you will not be able
to update

Step 4: –
Go to “Manage” drop down in UAN Portal and click on “E-Nomination” to fill the Family &
Nominee details.

Step 5: –
Personal details like Photo, Date of Birth, Gender, Father’s/Husband’s Name, Relation, Marital Status, Permanent
& Current Address, Date of Joining EPF Scheme, Date of Joining EPS Scheme etc. already updated under your
profile tab will be visible as per below screen.
If details are missing first update all missing details with help of employer under “Profile” tab then you can revisit E-
nomination. After clicking on “Proceed” button to move to page for family declaration.

Step 6: –
You need to select option ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ for Family Declaration. On selecting ‘having family’ – YES, you will be asked to
provide ‘Add Family Member(s)’ details. You have to provide details of your family members like their Aadhaar Number,
Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Relation, Address and Bank details. Aadhaar and photo of all family members are
mandatory. Once you are done with the process click on “Save Family Details” button.
On selection “No”, system will take you to PF Nomination details.

For uploading the photographs need to follow the instruction given in below screen.
The photograph is to be taken using a digital camera.
The photograph is to be restricted to size of 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm OR 132-pixel x 170-pixel before uploading. You can resize your Photo in “MS
Paint resize”
The image should have face prominently visible (80% of the image) with both ears visible.
The image should have dark red background only
The image should be in jpeg format only

Step 7: –
Next page is of PF Nomination. In this page, you need to select your family member as a nominee and provide input
for Total Amount of Share percentage (%). You can declare the ‘total amount of percentage (%) share among your
nominees. In case, you would like to nominate only one member of your family as your nominee then you can declare
100% as the share.
Once you are done with it click “Save EPF Nomination: button. It will save EPF details in your account
After completion of PF Nomination, system will prompt for EPS nomination in case member does not have family
(Wife/Son/Daughter) is not available. After that member has to finalize nomination by e-Sign, detailed in further
slide.

Step 8: –
Next step is approving nomination by using E-sign. You need to click on “e-sign” button.
For e-Sign, Virtual id is mandatory.( detailed in further slide )

Step 9: –
Virtual ID can be generated by visiting UIDAI official website (https:// resident.uidai.gov.in/ vid –generation)
After clicking on this url.it will take you to uidai portal, you will get option to generate virtual id (VID) 16-digit no.
You need to in put Aadhaar & captcha then click on send OTP. OTP received on your mobile to be entered as per below
screen. On successful completion ,Virtual Id (VID) will be sent on your mobile.

Step 10:
After clicking on “e-Sign” below screen will appear. Click on the check box to proceed.

Step-11 :-
“Virtual ID” received on your mobile No. need to entered as mentioned in below image and click on
“Get OTP” button. It will send OTP to your Aadhaar registered mobile number.

After Completion of Step 11 you will be able to see the below screen.

Step -13
After successful e- sign, you can view nomination details in pdf by clicking on button under
“Nomination Details”.
Please take print out of the E-Nomination and share with HR.
It’s mandatory to share the E-Nomination Forms with HR Team as the same is needed for further processing.
