PM Modi inaugurated 1,675 newly constructed flats for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) residents of
Jhuggi Jhopri (JJ) clusters at Swabhiman Apartments in Ashok Vihar, Delhi.
The flats are constructed under the In-Situ Slum Rehabilitation Project by the Delhi Development
Authority(DDA).
The person has to pay less than 7% of the total of Rs 25 lakh been spent on construction of each flat by the
government which includes Rs 1.42 lakh as a nominal fee and Rs 30,000 for five years of maintenance.
