Topics in Computing Project

work. You and your team are not allowed to prepare the report with oth-
ers, copy texts from published/Internet sources, use AI Text Generators (e.g.
chatGPT) or let others do it for you. If you feel that you cannot complete
the project on your own, seek help from the course instructor.
1     Project Description:
This project is a group project, where each group is expected to consist of
four to five students. If you or your group is experiencing any issues, please
contact the course instructor as soon as possible.
In this project, as a group, you need to select one of the computing-related
topics listed below and write a report summarizing your understanding. In
addition, you and your team will be required to deliver a presentation on the
chosen topic. Students are free to choose any topic from the following list:
Please Note: You and your group are free to choose any topic from the pro-
vided list. However, your topic selection will be subject to course instructor
approval to avoid duplicate topic selections.

Groups are required to research the selected topic. Then write a report out-
lining your understanding, summarization of the existing approaches, and
findings on the selected topic based on the referenced literature.
2     Project Structure
2.1     Project item 1: Written report requirements
    • Document Requirements:
         – Report Title – Cover page
         – Student Names (along with UQU Student ID’s) – Cover page
         – Abstract (about 150-200 words) – Second page
         – Brief overview of your understanding of the topic
         – Discussion and Conclusion
         – References (at least 10 appropriate references)
         – The maximum limit for similarity percentage is 20%
         – Your report should be between 8 and 10 A4 pages in length, not
           including the Cover and Second pages, and references.

    • Formatting Requirements:
        – The font must be Times New Roman (Size 12)
        – The document must be single-spaced
        – Please format and structure your report legibly.
2.2    Project item 2: Presentation or Discussion
    • A presentations and discussions will be held in weeks 9 and 10.
    • Each group is required to present for a total of 15 minutes, with all
      students participating in the presentation.
    • The marking criteria for the presentation will be based on the following
      points:
        – English is the language for the presentation.
        – Several aspects will be assessed during the presentation, including
          preparation, clear speech, clear posture, and introducing yourself
          and your team.
3     Grading Policy
This project is worth 20 percent of the total course grade.
4     Submitting Your Work
Submission Instructions:
    • Submission Deadline: Submit by Thursday 8 May 2025 - 10/11/1446H
      at 11:59 pm.
    • Only one submission is allowed per group
    • Submit as a soft copy (as .pdf file) via Blackboard UQU portal.
    • Blackboard SafeAssign will be enabled, please check the Originality
      Report and make sure it has not exceeded the 20% limit.
    • Multiple submission is allowed before deadline
