Welcome Aboard! We’re happy to have you join our team as a Station Attendant - Airport -
Permanent Full Time at the Toronto Airport, effective January 10, 2025. You are joining the

In addition to what we hope will prove to be a fulfilling career, you will receive a wide range
of benefits, many of which are outlined in this document. You can find out more about them
and complete some final steps once you’ve gained access to ACaeronet, our employee
portal. From the home page of the Portal, simply select HR Connex to access further
information on our HR policies and programs.
This Offer of Employment provides you with relevant information pertaining to the salary,
and the benefits available to you along with information on what you need to do to complete
your induction. We are looking forward to welcoming you aboard, so please be sure to
accept this eOffer within 48 hours.
There will be a probationary period of twenty-six (26) weeks consisting of a minimum of one
hundred and twenty-six (126) days worked which begins on your first date of employment.
Your immediate Manager will work with you to set expectations and provide coaching as
needed and will also complete a performance review which will be shared with you before
the end of the probationary period. If at that time you have been unable to meet
expectations, your Manager may decide to extend your probationary period or to end your
employment with us.
It is understood that this employment agreement is conditional upon the passing of a pre-
employment medical evaluation and receipt by Air Canada of the necessary document(s)
demonstrating your eligibility to perform this safety sensitive work (i.e. drug test results,
medical form, medical assessment results, etc). You agree that should the above-mentioned
conditions not be met nor maintained throughout your career with Air Canada, the
employment relationship will be frustrated, there will be cause for the termination of your
employment and your employment will terminate, with no notice, pay in lieu of notice or
severance pay.
It is understood that this employment agreement is contingent upon the passing of a pre-
employment security clearance and receipt by Air Canada of the necessary document(s)
demonstrating your eligibility to work legally in Canada (i.e. social insurance number, work
permit, etc). Should the above-mentioned conditions not be met nor maintained throughout
your career with Air Canada, Air Canada will have the right to terminate your employment.
Compensation
• Basic Salary: $ 934.53 per week and will increase in accordance with normal salary
progression within the Air Canada/IAM&AW Collective Agreement.
• Profit Sharing Plan: Air Canada's Profit-Sharing Plan is designed for all of us to share in
Air Canada’s success. The greater the profit, the greater the reward. The Company reserves
the right to make changes to the terms and conditions of the Profit-Sharing Plan at any time
at its sole discretion.
Mandatory Deductions from Wages: Air Canada will deduct from your wages both
federal and provincial income tax, Employment Insurance premiums, Canada or Quebec
Pension Plan contributions, Quebec Parental Insurance Plan premiums (in Quebec only), Air
Canada Pension Plan contributions, union dues and any other amount permitted under the
Canada Labour Code. Depending on your selections under the BetterFit Benefit Program or
other voluntary programs offered by Air Canada, there may be further deductions made
from your wages.
Work-Related Expenses: For further details regarding the reimbursement of work-related
expenses, refer to the Air Canada/IAM&AW Collective Agreement. Eligible expenses can be
claimed through Ariba.
Benefits
Air Canada provides a comprehensive benefit package, which includes both basic and
voluntary participation programs. As a new employee covered by the Air Canada/IAMAW
Collective Agreement you will be enrolled in the benefit plans eligible under this group upon
successful completion of your waiting period. To qualify for this coverage, you must be
entitled to benefits under your provincial Medicare plan.
IAM Multi-Employer Pension Plan (MEPP): You will be enrolled in the IAM Multi-
Employer Pension Plan (MEPP) on your date of hire. Shortly following your hiring, you will
receive the Summary Plan Description and an enrollment form by mail. You will have to
complete and return the enrollment form by mail.
Retirement Program
Air Canada is proud to offer you a Retirement Program.
As of your first day of employment, you will be enrolled in the IAM Multi-Employer Pension
Plan (IAM MEPP). Participation in the IAM MEPP is mandatory. Under the IAM MEPP, you must
contribute 6% of your basic salary and your contributions will be matched by the Company.
Approximately three (3) or four (4) weeks following your date of hire:
- The administrator of the IAM MEPP will email to your Air Canada email address an
enrollment form, a pension plan booklet and a form allowing you to include your overtime
earnings in your pensionable earnings.
- In addition to the IAM MEPP, you may also contribute to the Air Canada Group RRSP and
Group TFSA, in which your participation is voluntary. Manulife (the administrator of the
Group RRSP and Group TFSA) will email an enrollment guide to your Air Canada email
address for the Group RRSP and Group TFSA.
If you haven’t received the email from the administrator of the IAM MEPP one (1)
month after your hire date, please contact them at 1-888-354-5444. If you haven’t
received the email from Manulife one (1) month after your hire date, please
contact them at 1-866-222-6268. Make sure you carefully review the documents
and take the necessary actions!
Programs
• Employee Share Ownership Plan: Air Canada’s Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP)
allows you to contribute part of your salary towards the purchase of Air Canada shares; Air
Canada will match a percentage of your contributions in the following year. Once you are
granted access to the Company portal, please consult HR Connex [Policies & Forms / My
Money / Compensation / Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP)] for detailed information on
the ESOP. Air Canada may amend, replace or terminate the ESOP at any time at its sole
discretion.
• Shine Program: Air Canada’s online instant recognition program! Recognition makes us
feel valued and appreciated for the work we do and how we contribute to the company’s
success. Shine can be accessed via the Shine tab on your ACaeronet homepage. Every
employee can give unlimited social recognition- shout-outs for the everyday special
acts that make a difference. More significant actions can be awarded points along
with recognition. You will also have a bank or points balance, where the points you
have been awarded will accumulate. These can be redeemed at any time for a list of
amazing gifts/gift cards and experiences!
Optional Coverage
• Personal Automobile, Homeowner's/Tenant's Insurance
• Emergency Medical Travel Protection Plan
Employee Travel Privileges: Air Canada employees enjoy their travel privileges and must
follow Air Canada’s conditions of use of these privileges. Once you’ve completed twenty-
eight (28) weeks service, you will be eligible for travel privileges for yourself and other
eligible persons. A detailed description of the terms and conditions of these privileges can
be found on the Employee Travel Site. Please remember that it’s your responsibility to
ensure that you, your parents, eligible dependents, and anyone else using your travel
privileges (e.g. Travel Partner/GoAC) are aware of the terms and conditions. Air Canada may
amend, replace or terminate the Travel Privileges at any time at its sole discretion.
Uniform
As part of your job functions, you will be required to wear a uniform. Shortly after you accept
the job offer, you will receive your Air Canada employee number along with instructions on
how to access the New Hire Checklist, which includes all Onboarding administrative tasks.
Please refer to the Uniform section of the New Hire Checklist for details on how to order your
Uniform.

Important Notes
• Onboarding: You will soon receive an email inviting you to visit our New Hire site. This
site will guide you through a series of tasks that will help you with the forms that need to be
completed and/or reviewed prior to your first day.
• Immigration Status (if applicable): You are solely responsible for obtaining and, if
required, renewing, at your expense all authorizations necessary for you to work for Air
Canada in Canada. This may include but is not limited to visas and permanent resident
status. You also are required to provide copies of all such documents to the Company.
Nothing in this offer of employment shall require Air Canada to assist in or pay for you to
obtain or renew these authorizations, other than confirming to the authorities your
employment status with Air Canada (i.e. active, on leave, on lay-off, etc.) or the terms and
conditions of your employment, in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
Furthermore, should you fail to maintain an immigration status which permits you to work
for Air Canada in Canada, or fail to provide proof of renewal or change of your status, the
Company will be obliged to immediately terminate your employment without notice or any
indemnity in lieu thereof.
• RAIC and AVOP: Your employment is also subject to your meeting Transport Canada
security requirements and obtaining a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC). Should
your employment with Air Canada be terminated it is mandatory to return the card to your
Air Canada manager within seven days of termination or you will be subject to a fee. Your
employment is also subject to your ability to obtain and maintain your Airside Vehicle
Operator’s Permit (AVOP) within your probation period. Should you fail to obtain and or
maintain a RAIC or an AVOP throughout your career with Air Canada, Air Canada reserves its
right to terminate your employment.
• Eligibility: Air Canada reserves the right to terminate your employment should any of the
below conditions not be met and maintained throughout your career with Air Canada:
◦ Maintain a security clearance
◦ Obtain and maintain a RAIC; and
◦ Obtain and maintain an AVOP
• Policy: All Air Canada employees must comply with the Company’s Alcohol and Drug
Policy. Please note that you have been hired to perform safety-critical work and as such, you
are prohibited from consuming cannabis at all times, even when you are not on duty.
