Genre: Drama / Social Awareness

SCENE 1: BAR - NIGHT

(Camera pans to a crowded bar, flashing lights, loud music. Girls are dancing on stage,
including main character LARA.)

LARA (V.O.):
Sa kalibutan nga puno sa kahayag ug kasaba, di ka kabalo kung kinsa ang tinuod nga nalipay.

Men cheer. Some throw money. Lara’s eyes scan the crowd with hidden sadness.

(Zoom in on Lara, looking tired but forcing a smile while dancing.)

SCENE 2: BAR RAID - NIGHT

(Suddenly, the music stops.Several police arrive. Officers rush in!)

POLICE OFFICER: Raid ni! Walay molihok!

Girls scream and try to run. Chaos erupts.

Tanan mo, sakay sa mobile! Walay mogawas!

Lara freezes, her hands trembling. She is handcuffed along with the others and cried silently

SCENE 3: PRISON CELL - NIGHT

(Girls are detained, hugging each other. Lara is quiet.)

FELLOW DANCER: Unsaon na nato ni, Lar? Wala na tay trabaho...

LARA : Ambot. Pero dili ko gusto magpabilin ani nga kinabuhi.

SCENE 4: AFTER A YEAR - SMALL RENTED ROOM - DAY


(Lara wakes up in a small, poorly lit room. She boils water with just noodles in a pot. The
calendar shows unpaid bills.)

LARA (V.O.):
Haysst! Jsqqq kalisud sa kinabuhi! Walay klarong trabaho. Usahay, gutom. Pero kinahanglan
gyud mubangon.

SCENE 5: JOB HUNTING - CITY - DAY

(Lara is walking, holding her resume. She sees a sign: "Hiring! Any Position!")

LARA (murmurs):
Basin karon na ni akong panahon.

SCENE 6: COMPANY OFFICE - DAY

(Lara is in front of the receptionist.)

Lara: Excuse me miss? Gd morning! like nakita nako ni sa gawas sa inyung company mag
asked lang po if what job ang available?

RECEPTIONIST:
Hi Ma’am, thank you for coming. Naa mi job opening as assistant staff. Kung okay ra nimo,
kailangan lang nato makompleto ang hiring requirements — including valid IDs, resume, and
pre-employment documents like medical clearance.

LARA:
Okay ra kaayo, Ma’am. Ako lang ni humanon tanan. Salamat kaayo sa chance.

SCENE 7: CLINIC - DAY

(Lara is nervous. She undergoes tests, including HIV test. Days pass.)

SCENE 8: RESULTS - CLINIC OFFICE - DAY


(Doctor is holding her papers, serious face.)

DOCTOR:
Miss Lara, naa mi findings. Naa kay HIV positive result.

(Lara’s world shatters. She’s speechless. Tears fall.)

DOCTOR:
Ayaw kahadlok, Miss Lara. Ang HIV karon, kontrolado na kaayo basta sayo lang mahibal-an.
Makapadayon gihapon ka sa normal nga kinabuhi basta magsunod lang ka sa tambal ug
magpacheck-up pirme.

SCENE 9: SMALL PARK - SUNSET

(Lara is sitting alone. Holding her medicine. Flashbacks of her dancing days, getting arrested,
and today.)

LARA (V.O.):
Siguro mao nani ang bayad sa tanan nakong gibuhat. Pero siguro dili pa ulahi ang tanan.

SCENE 10: NGO CENTER - DAY

(Scene opens with Lara entering a small community center for the first time. She looks around
curiously. A poster outside reads: “Free HIV Awareness Seminar & Support Program.” Inside,
volunteers are setting up chairs and preparing materials.)

NGO VOLUNTEER (approaching):


Ma’am, welcome! Bag-o ka diri?

LARA (smiling shyly):


Oo. Nakita ra nako sa poster. Naa man koy gusto masabtan pa bahin sa HIV.

NGO VOLUNTEER:
Mao ba? Sakto ka nga niari. Diri, dili lang kay makat-on ka — pwede pud ka mutabang kung
willing ka mu-volunteer.

(Lara nods. Montage of her attending sessions, listening to talks, helping arrange pamphlets,
talking to other attendees, and slowly gaining confidence.)
FINAL SCENE: LARA’S ROOM - NIGHT

(She looks in the mirror, hopeful. Holds a photo of herself smiling with fellow volunteers.)

LARA (V.O.):
Walay sayop nga dili matul-id. Ug walay kagabhion nga dili maabtan og kabuntagon.

FADE TO BLACK

TEXT ON SCREEN:
"Get tested. Know your status. HIV is not a death sentence — it’s a wake-up call."
