in the Maycomb
society
Geographical Situation
Maycomb is a small village in the
Maycomb County, Alabama. It is
located in the Southeast United
States. It has a school, a prison, a
courthouse, a church and a post
office, so it is a important city in the
local area, there isn't too much
information about Maycomb, as it is a
fictional town but we can make a
clear image by the description of the
buildings in it and how they are
placed.
Geographical Situation
Social Context – Injustice, Racism and Prejudice
“Mr. Finch, he were talkin‘ and lookin’ at
Miss Mayella.” Tom robinson

“Then you ran?” Finch

The reason why all this racism happened is because when England had
colonies both in america and africa,the triangular trade appeared, this
consisted in capturing black people and selling them as slaves in
America. Mainly for cotton farms. This made all the american and
european people think that black people were inferior to them and
eventually caused all this racism prejudice and injustice that we see in
the novel.

A great example is Aunt Alexandra,
