1) The perimeter of a rectangular playground is 36 meters. If the length of the park is 6 meters, what is the
width of the park?
2) Oliver wants to measure the perimeter of his bedroom. His bedroom floor is an exact square and one
side measures 4m. What is the perimeter of Oliver’s room?
3) The rectangular room measures 15 meters by 7 meters. What is the area of this room?
4) Emily wants new carpeting for her room. Her room is a 12 ft by 12 ft rectangle. How much carpeting
does she needs to buy to cover her entire room?
5) The school has a rectangular flower garden that is 5 meters long and 12 meters wide. One bag of
fertilizer can cover 5 square meters. How many bags will the school need to buy for the entire garden?
6) Sally is buying tiles for her bathroom floor. Each tile is 1 foot by 1 foot. Her bathroom floor measures
20 feet by 7 feet. How many tiles will she need?
