Instructions:
Moot Court Exercise and Internship
This paper consists of four components, with a total of 100 marks.
Moot Court (30 Marks): Every student is required to complete at least three moot court
exercises in a year, with each moot court carrying 10 marks. Each exercise will be based
on assigned problems, with 5 marks allocated to written submissions and 5 marks for oral
advocacy.
Observance of Trial in Two Cases - One Civil and One Criminal (30 Marks): Students
are required to observe one civil and one criminal trial during their last two or three years
of LL.B. studies. Students will maintain records detailing the steps observed at different
stages of the trial. This observation will be graded for 30 marks.
Interviewing Techniques, Pre-trial Preparations, and Internship Diary (30 Marks): Each
student must observe two client interview sessions at a Lawyer’s Office or Legal Aid
Office, recording the proceedings in a diary worth 15 marks. Additionally, students will
observe the preparation of legal documents and the filing procedure for cases,
documented in the diary for another 15 marks.
Viva Voce Examination (10 Marks): A viva voce examination will be conducted on the
above three components, carrying 10 marks.
