Week 3: Building Early Critical Thinking

o Encourage them to finish or create patterns themselves.

then put it in the box”).
4. Day 21: Puzzles and Problem-Solving
o Work on simple jigsaw puzzles together.
o Ask them to explain their thinking when solving a puzzle.
Week 4: Social & Emotional Learning + Review
1. Day 22–23: Understanding Emotions
o Use picture books to talk about feelings like happy, sad, mad, and excited.
o Practice identifying emotions in themselves and others.
2. Day 24–25: Role-Playing
o Practice social skills like sharing, taking turns, and saying “please” and “thank you.”

3. Day 26–27: Review Basic Skills (Reading, Writing, Math)
o Review what you've covered so far in reading, writing, and math.
o Do a quick recap of the letter sounds, sight words, counting, shapes, and simple

shapes.
