The Top 100 AI Tools

Welcome to the May 2025 edition of the Agentic Top 100 Generative AI Tools. The
start of 2025 has been like a rocket ship for generative AI. We may well look back at
the flurry of updates and launches this March as another ‘Big Bang’ moment - similar
to when ChatGPT was first launched in November 2022. Advancements across all
categories were explosive and user growth surged.

10 new tools have been added for this edition. Tools are placed into categories,
starting with productivity, moving onto creativity and then specific work functions or
roles. There’s naturally some repetition in a list like this, but we try and select tools that
have a point of difference in their category.

Productivity

General Assistance
The most widely used category is mainly made up of chatbots - most people will only
need one of these and selection depends on which platform you’re using.
