About Me
Roxana Rosu was born in Vaslui, Romania on the 19th May
2000. She studied interior design, english literature and
business in sixth form then went onto getting more
qualifications in interior design & architecture. She has been
a model/content creator for over 5 years before starting up
her gym accessories brand ‘Swaist’ in 2021.
This is her first book out of many because she wants to
share her experiences and journey with you. Roxana was
never extremely confident in her younger years and
frequently got bullied for not being confrontational, the last
couple years she’s developed a baddie mindset and has
become an extremely positive and self assured person. She
explained how she wishes she had this journal/book to
read from when she wasn’t a baddie because it takes time
to build yourself up and become confident, it doesn’t just
happen overnight.

What is a Baddie?
Anyone can be a baddie, as long as you are confident and
comfortable in your own skin. This book will encourage the
baddie inside of you (that you already have) to emerge.
Baddies are not afraid to take risks and they are admired for their
self-assured behaviour. Everyone wants to be friends with a
baddie, with you. Baddies are also strong-willed individuals who
are unapologetic about who they are. They exude confidence and
are trendsetters who embrace their individuality by celebrating
their flaws. We as baddies are not defined by societal norms or
expectations and pave our own path in life. We are also known
for being independent and self-sufficient, not relying on anyone
else for OUR OWN happiness or success. Overall, a baddie is
someone embraces their unique, flaws and all.
7
Additionally, we vibrate positive energy and can have an uplifting
impact to our environment. Baddies radiate a sense of self-love
and encouragement, inspiring those around them to exude con-
fidence as well. Being in the presence of a baddie can lead to an
increase in motivation, self-awareness and self-acceptance, addi-
tionally having an unique ability to create a positive atmosphere
and empower others to be confident in their own body. They are
embodiment of the phrase “good vibes only” and make it their
mission to surround themselves with positivity. Being a baddie
means we are so infectious with energy that it makes us a joy to be
around.
We as baddies are individuals who have a clear idea of what we
want in life and are actively working towards it. Being
goal-oriented and motivated is an essential component of our
empowered demeaner. We are driven by the desire to create a
successful and fulfilling life for ourselves and those around us.
Baddies adopt their authenticity; it is essential to stay true one’s
values and beliefs to develop a strong sense of self-awareness. By
incorporating these characteristics anyone can unleash their inner
baddie to become confident, empowered and radiate a
contagious positive energy.
8
What is a Baddie -
Becoming Confident
Confidence comes from within, so focus on your own worth first.
Make a list of your strengths and achievements and remind
yourself of them often. Surround yourself with positive people
who build you up and support you. Being with someone who
believes in you will always make you feel more confident.
Practice positive self-talk. Instead of focusing on your
shortcomings, remind yourself of your strengths and tell yourself
that you are competent and valuable.
Practice good posture. Standing up straight will help you feel
more confident and assertive. Make sure to focus on your
passions and hobbies because doing what you love makes you
feel more confident and fulfilled. Also, your passion for
something can make you more interesting and attractive to others.
9
Remember confidence is a journey, not a destination. Building
confidence takes time and effort, but with practice and patience,
you can become the most assertive/positive person you know!
Finally, remember that everyone struggles with confidence
sometimes. It’s normal to feel anxious and uneasy. Don’t beat
yourself up for having these feelings, instead focus on building
yourself up and being kind to yourself.
It’s critical to stay true to yourself and not feel like you have to
change who you are to attract others. Confidence is key when it
comes to attracting others, and that can come from feeling good
about yourself and being comfortable in your own skin. Ensure
to remember that attraction is a two-way street, and it’s okay if
someone isn’t attracted to you. Focus on being the best version of
yourself and the right people will be drawn to you naturally.
I actually had crazy anxiety for a very very long time, and by dedicating my
efforts to improving and learning myself more, I eased up my anxiety. Yes
I’m one of them girls who is too scared to call up and order some food
because my anxiety is just over the top. But I think as time goes on and you
really focus on yourself and your confidence, it will really help your anxiety
(if you do experience or live with it it).

How to use your assets
This chapter we are talking about taking advantage of what you
have-for example, appearance, personality or material items.
After all, if you’ve got it use it. Choose your favourite thing about
yourself: hair, skin, body, eyes, humour, kindness. Once chosen,
think about how you can use it to attract people and situations
you desire. These asset(s) are things that you like about yourself,
therefore you are confident about them-relating back to the
confidence chapter, confident energy attracts.
If you are struggling to figure out what your best asset is, think
about what people always compliment you on; if other people
are already complimenting a feature, it is the best weapon to use.
Once you’ve discovered what your best features are, devote time
into bettering them further. For example, using hair oils and
products in order to increase the health of your hair. Learning
new hairstyles and figuring out what ones suit you best. Your asset
will be your main attraction, nurture it.
Through the years I have learnt my three key assets, my eyes,
body and loyalty. Therefore, I use these to charm those around
me. My friends ALWAYS tell me to ‘give them the eyes’ in order
11
to get my own way when I’m out. It works every time. Making
and maintaining good eye contact is hot, it radiates confidence
and bad b energy. Most people struggle with eye contact, once
you’ve mastered it, you’ll be having people fall to your feet. I like
to use makeup in order to exaggerate my eyes, learning how to
use makeup to accentuate your features is essential (I touch on
this more in a later chapter).
I work hard on my body, so I like to show it off as much as I
can. I use tight clothing to really exaggerate my figure. Doing this
makes me feel confident, like I’ve said before, confidence
positive energy attracts. You need to find what your favourite
feature is and start to use it. If unsure, ask those around you.
It’s important to remember that everyone is unique and has their
own way of expressing themselves. While some people might
choose to use their body, face, hair, or personality to attract
others, it’s necessary to make sure that you’re doing it in a way
that feels comfortable and authentic to you. Attraction is about so
much more than just physical appearance. Being kind, confident,
and genuine are incredibly attractive qualities as well.

fill it with positive thoughts, your life will start
to change."
-Kamil Thomas
13
Mindset
Mindset refers to the way we think and perceive the world around
us. It’s our attitude or approach to life, and it can have a big im-
pact on our mental health and well-being. Having a positive mind-
set means looking at situations in a positive light and focusing on
the good rather than the bad. It can help us feel more optimistic
and motivated. Looking after your mental state is just as impor-
tant as looking after yourself maybe even more. If you’re not
mentally okay, the physical aspects will also differ.
Having a positive mindset is important for our mental health
because it can help us manage stress, anxiety, and de-pression.
When we have a positive mindset, we’re more likely to see chal-
lenges as opportunities for growth and learning, rather than as
threats. This can help us feel more in control of our lives and
more capable of overcoming obstacles.
On the other hand, having a negative mindset can contribute to
feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and anxiety. When we focus on
the negative aspects of a situation,
14
it can be difficult to see a way out or to find solutions to our
problems. This can lead to feelings of helplessness and de-
spair. Our mindset is not set in stone. We can work to create a
more positive mindset by practicing gratitude, focusing on our
strengths, and reframing from negative thoughts. It takes time and
effort to change our mindset, but with prac-tice, we can develop a
more positive outlook on life and improve our mental health and
well-being. You are the most important person in your life.
Making sure you’re good within will make you better to be
around. When you’re feeling your best, the good energy will
radiate onto those around you. Therefore, this makes your
presence a joy to be around, everyone loves being around a
baddie-they radiate confidence and good vibes.
On the other hand, baddies know when to avoid certain
individuals. Bad energy needs to be avoided always. This will only
bring down your good vibrations, if someone is adding stress to
your life in a negative way why should they be in it?
Wasting your energy on people like this will only drain you. If
people aren’t actively making effort, stop making effort. Match
people’s energy, you will soon see who sticks around. Baddies
don’t have time to waste on individuals who aren’t willing to care
for them. Your mindset is crucial. Know your worth and know
15
when to walk away. We are all human; emotions can make
situations a lot harder, and it may be hard to remove yourself
from things. However, you need to put you own wellbeing first.
Is removing yourself going to benefit you in the long run? How
much is the situation damaging your own growth? Ask yourself
this. Don’t let people and situations prevent you from being the
best version of yourself, don’t let it dampen your shine.
I’ve said it a lot throughout this book, but baddies are confi-
dent-even if you aren’t feeling it, you must fake it.
Give people eye contact and wear a smile (your best accessory).
Refrain from slouching and open your body, this makes you look
confident. A baddie doesn’t apologise for feeling
confident. People are intimidated by a confident individual if
people around you cannot manage yourself love and confidence
it’s their problem. Don’t lower your confidence levels to suit
those around you. Remember, don’t tell peo-ple your plans,
show them results. People love to hate and jealousy is a sad dis-
ease nowadays.
Work hard in silence and celebrate your success publicly. This
will avoid people projecting their negative energy onto you, only
surround yourself with people who want to see you win.
16
Similarly, stop comparing yourself to other people. You are going
at your own pace and people’s success isn’t your concern. Let
them win and be happy for them, nev-er compare your situation
to others. We are all at separate milestones, make sure you’re
striving for your next one and forget where everyone else is. Your
own validation is all that matters.
If people aren’t actively making effort, stop making effort. Match
people’s energy, you will soon see who sticks around. Baddies
don’t have time to waste on individuals who aren’t willing to care
for them. Your mindset is crucial. Know your worth and know
when to walk away. We are all human; emotions can make situ-
ations a lot harder, and it may be hard to remove yourself from
things.
However, you need to put you own wellbeing first. Is removing
yourself going to benefit you in the long run? How much is the
situation damaging your own growth?
Ask yourself this. Don’t let people and situations prevent you
from being the best version of yourself, don’t let it dampen your
sparkle. Some-times, certain scenarios can cloud our judgement
17
Just remember who you are, a baddie! Say these sentences on
repeat, aloud, in the mirror.
- I don’t allow myself to think or say anything bad about
myself.
- I am my biggest fan; I can support myself throughout my
mmiijourney.
- I don’t allow myself to fixate on another individual,
whether it is judging them or focusing on their actions. I only
j focus on my own growth.
- I don’t allow myself to complain, instead I find things I am
dv grateful for and show gratitude.
- I do not dwell on what I could have done differently in the
kk past, I accept I cannot change it.
- I visualise a future of success, fulfilment and abundance.
These affirmations are significant to remind yourself daily. You
need to train your mind. The more you tell yourself something,
the more you will begin to believe.
I know what it’s like to be in a hopeless and terrible mindset, at one stage
of my life I was eating constant rubbish, crying myself to sleep every night,
telling myself how ugly and worthless I was and didn’t know what I wanted
to do with my life. I was most worried about the future. But I remembered
that there’s way more to life then this, and i’m way too young to be wasting
my life crying, we don’t want to look back when we are old at our younger
years and all we have is memories of us being miserable or downhearted. It’s
okay to have down days but make sure you try to get back up the next day.
18
Here are some mindset quotes that might inspire you:
- “Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” - Theodore
Roosevelt
- “The mind is everything. What you think you become.” -
Buddha
- “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at
change.” - Wayne Dyer
Remember, mindset is a powerful tool for shaping your life and
achieving your goals. By cultivating a positive and growth-oriented
mindset, you can unlock your full potential and create the life you
want.
19
Lifestyle
Lifestyle can be defined as the way a person lives their life,
including their habits, behaviors, and daily activities. It includes
everything from the food we eat to the clothes we wear, and can
be influenced by a variety of factors such as culture, social life,
and personal preferences.
A healthy and balanced lifestyle is the base of being a baddie.
This is ensuring you’re taking care of yourself physically,
mentally and socially. Finding a balance can be a challenge, it can
take time and a fair bit of thinking. Focus on the bigger picture,
lifestyle changes are like puzzle pieces they all fit together to
create the ideal lifestyle for you. Having said this, choosing
healthier choices can be a challenge, it’s not as easy as flipping a
switch. It’s important to remember that finding a balance is key.
What works for you, may not work for the next person! Look at
your current commitments and see what you can slot in around
them. Even if you decide to do 30 minutes of exercise per day,
that’s still a huge achievement! It’s just what works for you and
your schedule. There are five key components when it comes to
lifestyle choices, diet, sleep, excercise, stress and supplementation
20
Diet is a sensitive subject, not one I want to plunge into too
much, however, it is a key aspect of lifestyle. What you’re
putting into your body should be monitored, the more toxins
you’re putting in the more your body will react in a negative way.
For example, fast food, I love a McDonald’s (especially after a
night out) but I know that it isn’t good for me. I try to balance out
the fast food with a day followed with healthier food options. See,
keeping that balance.
You can obviously eat whatever you want as a baddie, however
when you are eating rubbish you can start to feel sluggish and
drained. Attempting to maintain a balanced diet is easier than
focusing on low-fat or low-carb diets, this means trying to
incorporate all macro and micronutrients. Especially, protein,
fresh fruit and vegetables and prevent the intake of processed
foods and sugars.
WATER. WATER. WATER. I cannot stress enough how much
I swear by water. It is my favourite drink. It keeps you hydrated.
Lack of hydration can lead to sickness. If you don’t like water,
adding juice can help increase your likelihood of drinking it. Girl,
let me tell you, baddies drink water like it’s their job. You
21
gotta stay hydrated to keep your skin looking fresh and your body
feeling good. Plus, it’s an easy way to keep your metabolism on
point. And don’t even get me started on how much better you’ll
feel when you’re not dehydrated. No more headaches, no more
dry skin, just good vibes all around.
Another crucial factor you need to keep on point is your sleep. If
you wanna be a baddie, you gotta get your beauty sleep on. When
you get enough Z’s, you’ll feel like a million pounds and look
even better. Plus, sleep is when your body gets to work repair-
ing and rejuvenating itself, so you’ll be glowing from the inside
out. When you’re not sleeping enough, you’re more likely to be
cranky and stressed out, and your skin won’t be looking its best.
So, if you wanna be a real baddie, make sure you’re getting your
beauty sleep every night.Sleep is essential and funnily enough one
of the most important activities of the day.
Whatever time you can dedicate weekly to physical activity, do it.
Physical activity has many benefits to your health, not just phys-
ically but mentally too. I could list the physical benefits of exer-
cise, but the key point I want to address is how it makes you feel
mentally. So many people attend the gym to aid their mental
22
well-being. I do it myself. It makes me feel so good! For me
personally I like to use my own brand Swaist’s products in the
gym which includes the sweat belt and wrist hooks which i
absolutely LOVE for the gym. But we can speak about that
another time.
Everyone experiences stress. People manage their stress with
different coping mechanisms. It’s important to identify how you
handle yours, especially as this can impact your other factors of
maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Some individuals stress eat, have a
poor sleep pattern or obtain unhealthy habits. It’s easier said than
done but a baddie knows how to handle their stress. Finding your
best stress management strategy that works for you is a great way
to start!
I’m not a nutritionist, however even balanced diets can lack
nutritional value. Vitamins are essential for the body and are
needed in order to function efficiently. So, if needed, nutritional
supplements may be good to invest in. Make sure you’re clued
up with nutrition, knowing your macronutrients, micronutrients
and vitamins. When setting lifestyle changes, ensure
23
all changes are ones you can commit to. These changes can be
small activities, such as, making your bed each morning. Tidy
environments are better for the peace of mind. It’s unrealistic to
assume you’ll always be motivated; motivation comes and goes in
waves; motivation can be impacted from events in your life.
Think to yourself, are these small habits manageable, even when
I don’t feel motivated? Keeping up with a routine will make you
feel organised and put together. Adopting new habits can be
challenging, so take each habit one step at a time. Bringing
anything into your routine will feel alien at first, so take your time
and be patient with yourself.
Accepting that the easier route, may not be the most efficient
route. For example, if you’re looking to attend the gym start by
attending once or twice a week. This is a scary step, especially if
you haven’t been to a gym before but once you’ve taken the step,
try your best to stick with it. However, if the gym isn’t for you,
work outs from home can be a steppingstone to help your fitness
and confidence working out. Tracking your progress won’t always
be physical, it’s mental too.

the beauty of their dreams.”
- Eleanor Roosevelt

Image - The way you present yourself to the public is your image.
This is what’s on the surface of an individual. It’s the first thing
people see, a first impression if you will. If you’re not taking care
of your own image, people would assume you’re not taking care
of your mindset and personality. Actively nurturing your image is
essential for being a baddie, they know they look good because
they feel good. When taking care of your image, sometimes it’s
hard to know where to start. I found myself following tutorials
and videos online to better my makeup and hair skills.
Sometimes it takes a while to find what works for you, not
everything will work for everyone. Below is tips and tricks
re-garding makeup, hair, skincare, trends and fashion.
Remember, being a baddie comes from within. You’re a baddie
regardless of your image, this is just to help build your
confidence, so you feel like a baddie.
26
Image - Trends
What’s “in trend” is constantly
changing and developing. You
see multiple individuals
wearing the same things or using
the same techniques. These
usually blow up online and
across the media. When
following trends, you need to
use your own personal touch,
baddies aren’t sheep, they divert
away from the crowd.
Though, it is essential to keep up with what’s in trend. Easiest way
is to follow it on social media, especially TikTok. TikTok is full
of trending styles, makeup and hair. Using the search bar, type in
“trending hairstyles” and it’ll show you numerous hair tutorials.
Fashion trends are easily followed on Tik Tok too but also try
looking at maga-zines, Instagram and people watching. Take
the trend and make it your own, tweak minor details to make it
unique! I suggest spending 30 minutes once a week looking at
clothing store websites and their new ins to recognise the current
trend.
27
Below is a table of affordable and high-end examples.
High End Brands High Street Brands
-Off-White -ASOS
-Selfridges -H&M
-Cole Buxton -Fashion Nova
-Rick Owens -Zara
We all have our favourite celebrities and influencers, usually
these tag the brands in their posts. Take inspiration rather than
copy, like I said baddies don’t follow the crowd, they’re unique.
Things can get costly, especially when buying new clothes. So,
using applications such as Vinted and Depop can help. People
sell items online for less that retail value, this can be a great way
to find staple pieces or items that stand out. Who said you can’t
be a baddie on a budget?
Fashion trends are constantly evolving, and it can be tempting to
want to keep up with the latest styles. However, you need to
consider the impact that our fashion choices have on the
environment. One way to reduce our impact is to buy recycled
fashion. This can include shopping at thrift stores. Recycled
fashion has many benefits. Not only is it often more affordable
than buying new clothing, but it also reduces the demand for new
clothing production. Fast fashion, which is the production of
inexpensive clothing at a rapid pace, has become a major issue in
28
in the fashion industry. Fast fashion has a negative impact on the
environment, including the use of cheap and unsustainable
materials, exploitation of workers, and the creation of large
amounts of waste.
By choosing to buy recycled fashion, we can help reduce the
demand for fast fashion and support a more sustainable and
ethical fashion industry. Furthermore, it’s a great way to express
your personal style and stand out from the crowd. Wardrobe that
is both fashionable and authentic, plus a baddie is always unique
and has their own sense of style.
So next time you’re looking for a new outfit, consider checking
out your local thrift store or online marketplace for some unique
and sustainable options. Make sure to find brands and designers
that align with your values. Another way to stay on top of fashion
trends is to experiment with different styles and find what works
best for you. Ultimately, fashion trends come and go, but your
personal style is something that is unique to you. By staying true
to yourself and experimenting with different styles and trends,
you can create a wardrobe that is both fashionable and authentic,
plus a baddie is always unique and has their own sense of style.
29
Image - Makeup
Makeup is a very personal thing. What works for you may not
work for the next individual. However, it’s always good to
experiment in order to find out what’s best for you. Remember,
being a baddie comes from within. You’re a baddie regardless of
your image, this is just to help build your confidence, so you feel
like a baddie.
Following TikTok (once again) will help you find the latest
trends; currently, cat eyes, glowy skin and snatched contour is
trending. Don’t be afraid to experiment with new things, I used to
think eyeliner in my waterline wouldn’t suit me and I always used
to avoid it in my routine but now it’s my holy grail. I think eye-
liner makes the eyes look super sexy and mysterious. Remember
the eyes are the window to the soul.
30
Makeup is always changing, and your preferences will change too.
So, you must do whatever makes you feel confident/comfortable,
there are no wrong answers when it comes to makeup.
Using expired makeup products will be a common reason your
makeup isn’t lasting, sitting correctly and blending. Think of it
this way, you wouldn’t use expired foods when cooking because it
isn’t good for your stomach, similarly using expired makeup isn’t
good for your skin. So, throw that stuff out!
The best way to figure out if it’s expired is by checking the label
on the packaging ( it’ll have a marking of “6M” or “12M”, this is
how many months it can be used since it’s been opened ).
Using professional makeup artists guides are more reliable than
TikTok, this is due to the fact TikTok has blurring filters. My
personal favourite is Kim Kardashian’s makeup artist Makeup by
Mario.
When doing your makeup make sure to have good lighting, this
will help you see how well products have sat on your face. Skin
has texture, everyone will have different skin types and makeup
will sit differently on everyone. This is why there are a multitude
out there.
31
-My favourite eye brushes to
create a cat eye look - (you
can use any brand)
• Zoeva blending brush
• Angled eye brush
• Flat fluffy brush
-Start off with a base colour
in your cut crease. I like to
use orange or a light brown/
beige. Neutrals work best for
my eyes.
-After to create a Smokey
winged liner, I use a dark
brown with my angled brush
and create a soft wing. Start at
the mid center of your upper
lash line and drag to the end
of the wing.
-Lastly grab your flat fluffy
brush and just smudge on
your upper lash line to
created a smoked winged
liner look.

what you do.”

Image - SkinCare
Skincare is an important part of maintaining healthy, glowing
skin. The skin on our face is particularly delicate and can be
easily damaged by the environment, harsh products, or neglect.
To care for your face skin, it's useful to follow a regular skincare
routine however everyone’s skin is different and some people
may not need a skincare routine at all.
It is key to take care of your skin from the inside out. This means
staying hydrated, eating a healthy diet rich in antioxidants and
vitamins, and getting enough sleep.
34
For me personally I like to keep my skincare super simple, I
wash my face twice a day which I definitely think it is important
to do. Before washing your face always make sure to thoroughly
clean your hands for over 20 seconds, as your hands hold a huge
amount of bacteria and dirt. The biggest mistake is touching your
face when you have dirty hands. Don’t do it!
The skincare products that I am obsessed with:
-Avene hydrangea rich spf 30 cream
-Elemis facial oil
-This works vitamin C morning serum
-Pixi vitamin C serum
-The ordinary nicamimade
-Paula’s choice retinol 0.3%
-Elemis rose balm
-Garnier micellar water
Exfoliating once or twice a week can help remove dead skin cells
and promote cell turnover, resulting in brighter, smoother skin.
Just be sure to choose a gentle exfoliant that won’t irritate your
skin.
35
Here are some cleansers I recommend:
-Medik8 surface radiance cleanser
-Tatcha the deep cleanse
-Paula’s choice sensitive skin exfoliant
-Avene gentle cleaner
-Benefit good clean-up cleanser
Another way to care for your face skin is to use face masks or
treatments to address specific skin concerns. For example, if you
have oily or acne-prone skin, you might use a clay mask to help
absorb excess oil and unclog pores. If you have dry or sensitive
skin, you might use a hydrating mask or treatment to help soothe
and nourish your skin.
It’s also principal to be mindful of the products you’re using on
your skin. Avoid using products that contain harsh or irritating
ingredients, such as alcohol, fragrances, or sulphates. Instead,
choose products that are gentle and non irritating, and that are
appropriate for your skin type. Be sure to take care of your skin
from the inside out. This means staying hydrated, eating a healthy
diet rich in vitamins and antioxidants, and getting enough sleep.
36
Taking care of your skin both inside and out, you can help keep
it healthy, glowing, and beautiful for years to come.
One more crucial factor to consider when caring for your face
skin is to be gentle with it. Avoid rubbing or pulling on your skin,
as this can cause damage and premature ageing. Instead, use
gentle, circular motions when cleansing or applying products, and
pat your skin dry with a soft towel.
It's also important to pay attention to your skin and adjust your
skincare routine as needed. If you notice that your skin is
becoming dry or irritated, for example, you may need to switch to
gentler products or adjust your routine to avoid over-cleansing or
over-exfoliating.
When it comes to finding the right products for you, you need to
test and trial different products before finding your perfect ones,
or you could just be lucky and it could be the first ones you try.
On the other hand, using too many products on your skin can
also not be good for you. Sometimes simplifying your skin
routine could be your skins savour. Like I said previously I only
37
wash my face twice and use a couple of products. Sometimes
using too much product and overloading it with loads of different
ingredients can cause irritation but it all depends on your skin
type.
Avoid mixing certain serums and solutions as this can also cause
allergic reactions. E.g., Never mix vitamin C with retinol as they
contradict each other. Do not let your face touch the hot boiling
shower water as it’s not good your face. It’s a more sensitive area
to your body especially because of temperatures such as 30/40
degrees.
Finally, don’t forget to take care of your skin from the neck
down. While your face skin may require more specialized care,
it’s important to care for the rest of your skin as well.
By following these simple tips and being mindful of your skin’s
needs, you can help keep your face skin and the rest of your skin
healthy, glowing, and beautiful.
Gua sha is an ancient Chinese technique that involves using a tool
to scrape the skin in order to improve circulation and promote
lymphatic drainage. Proponents of gua sha believe that it can help
38
reduce inflammation, improve skin tone and texture, and even
reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. While more
research is needed to fully understand the benefits of gua sha,
many people find it to be a relaxing and rejuvenating addition to
their skincare routine.Another aspect of skincare is changing your
bedsheets regularly. This is because your sheets can accumulate
dirt, oil, and bacteria over time, which can transfer to your skin
and cause breakouts or other skin issues. To keep your skin
healthy and clear, it’s a good idea to change your sheets at least
once a week.
Finally, knowing your skin type is essential for developing a
skincare routine that works for you. There are four main skin
types: oily, dry, combination, and sensitive. Each type requires
different care, such as using oil-free products for oily skin. By
understanding your skin type and its unique needs, you can
choose products and treatments that will help keep your skin
healthy and beautiful.
When I was around 18/19 years old, I had more or less severe acne, it really
did make me feel like my life was hell. I was using so many cleansers and
exfoliants which was actually irritating it even more. The only thing that
worked for me as my personal experience was using less harsh soapy
product and sticking to my medically prescribed cream ‘Duac’. I definitely
think everyone is different so find out what’s right for you and stick to it. Ps.
Having a unhealthy diet also effected my acne too and made it worse.

Taking care of your body is just as important as taking care of
your face. This means using various products for different parts
of your body and keeping your skin clean and moisturised. It’s
important to choose products that are gentle and non-drying, as
harsh soaps or scrubs can damage your skin’s natural moisture
barrier. To keep your skin healthy and hydrated, try using a mois-
turising body wash or lotion, and be sure to apply it immediately
after showering or bathing.
When it comes to hair removal, it’s important to choose the
right products for the job. Razors, for example, can be harsh on
the skin if not used properly. To avoid irritation or razor burn,
be sure to use a sharp blade, and shave in the direction of hair
growth. It’s also a good idea to use a shaving cream or gel to help
ease the skin and reduce friction.
40
The skin on and around a woman’s private parts is delicate and
sensitive, so it’s important to choose the right products for this
area. Many traditional body washes or soaps can be harsh and
drying, which can cause irritation or other issues. To keep this
area clean and healthy, it’s a good idea to use a gentle,
pH-balanced wash that’s specifically formulated for this area.
Look for products that are free from harsh chemicals or
fragrances, and that contain natural ingredients like aloe vera,
chamomile, or calendula.
Avoid using loofahs or other abrasive materials, as these can
cause microtears in the skin and increase the risk of infection.
By using gentle, non-drying products and being mindful of your
skin’s needs, you can help keep your private parts healthy and
comfortable.
Bio Oil is a popular skincare product that’s designed to help
reduce the appearance of scars, stretch marks, and uneven skin
tone. While it’s important to remember that there’s nothing
inherently wrong with having stretch marks or scarring, many
people choose to use Bio Oil as a way to help reduce their
visibility or improve their overall skin health. However,
41
remember that everyone’s skin is different, and that there’s no
one-size-fits-all solution to skincare concerns. Ultimately, it’s up
to each baddie to decide what works best for their skin, and to
embrace their own unique beauty and imperfections.
When it comes to body care products, there are a lot of great
options out there. Some of the best products for baddies include
exfoliating scrubs, moisturising lotions, and body oils that can
help keep your skin looking and feeling its best. For exfoliation,
try a sugar or salt scrub that can help slough away dead skin cells
and reveal smoother, brighter skin. For hydration, look for a
thick, creamy body butter or lotion that can help lock in moisture
and keep your skin feeling soft and supple all day long. And for a
touch of glamour, try a shimmery body oil that can give your skin
a radiant glow and make you feel like a true baddie. Whatever
products you choose, be sure to listen to your skin’s needs and
choose formulas that work best for your unique skin type and
concerns.

Image - HairCare
Haircare is essential for maintaining healthy hair. It helps to
nourish and protect hair from damage caused by environmental
factors, such as sun, wind, and pollution. Haircare also helps to
prevent hair loss and promotes hair growth. Baddies have hair-
care routines because they know the importance of taking care of
their hair. It helps them to maintain their beautiful and healthy
hair, which is a key part of their overall look. A good haircare
routine involves washing and conditioning hair regularly, using
the right products for your hair type, and avoiding heat styling
tools whenever possible.
Hair oil has so many advantages when it comes to haircare.
Firstly, it helps to moisturize and nourish the hair, which is
essential for maintaining healthy hair. Hair oils can also help to
prevent
45
hair breakage and split ends by strengthening the hair and
improving its elasticity. Moreover, hair oils can help to reduce
frizz and tame flya-ways, which can make hair look smoother and
more manageable. Some hair oils also contain natural
ingredients that can help to promote hair growth, such as coconut
oil and castor oil. Overall, incorporating hair oil into your hair-
care routine can help to improve the health and appearance of
your hair. And just remember all baddies use hair oils ;)
Colouring your hair can be a fun way to express yourself and
change up your look. However, it’s important to take care of your
hair before and after the colouring process to prevent damage.
Dying your hair can cause it to become dry and brittle, so it’s
important to use a good conditioner and avoid using heat styling
tools whenever possible. It’s also important to choose the right
hair colour for your skin tone and hair type. If you’re not sure
what colour to choose, consider consulting with a professional
stylist who can help you choose the best colour for your hair.
Heat protection sprays or serums can help to create a barrier
between your hair and the heat. It’s important to use heat
protection products every time you use heat styling tools to
prevent long-term damage to your hair.
46
Hair masks can also provide many benefits for your hair. They
can help to nourish and moisturize hair, repair damage caused
by environmental factors, and improve the overall health of your
hair. Hair masks are typically used once a week and can be left
on for several minutes or overnight, depending on the product.
My favourite haircare products:
-Af hair extensions drench me shampoo and conditioner
-Wells oil infused shampoo and conditioner
-Grow gorgeous hair mask
-Shea moisture masque
-GHD styling oil
-Ouai hair oil
-Colour wow dream coat
-Moroccan oil hair styling cream
Any heat protection spray is fine as long as it has up to 210
degrees protection. You can make your own hair masks using
natural ingredients that are super easy to find. One of the best
ingredients for a hair mask is avocado, which is packed with
healthy fats and vitamins that can help to nourish and strengthen
your hair. Just mash up a ripe avocado and apply it to your hair,
focusing on the ends. Leave it on for 20-30 minutes and then
47
rinse it out with warm water. Another lavish ingredient is coconut
oil, which is full of fatty acids that can help to moisturize and
strengthen your hair. Warm up a few tablespoons of coconut oil
and apply it to your hair, focusing on the ends. Leave it on for
30-45 minutes and then rinse it out with warm water.
Honey is also a great ingredient for a hair mask. It can help to
lock in moisture and prevent dryness. Mix together equal parts
honey and olive oil then apply the mixture to your hair. Leave it
on for 30-45 minutes and then rinse it out with warm water.
In general, making your own hair masks using natural ingredients
is a great way to nourish and strengthen your hair without using
harsh chemicals or spending a lot of money. So go ahead, bad-
dies, and give it a try!
Here are my top hair stylers:
-GHD soft curl (bouncy curl)
-GHD curve (waves)
-Remington wide straightener
-BaByliss wand tong (purple & tight curls)
-Dyson hair dryer (expensive but worth it)
-Revlon Salon 1 Step Paddle Dryer
48
TIP - Try plaiting your hair every night as this stops your hair
from ripping while moving about during your sleep. You lose
between 50-100 hairs a day so plaiting during the day also helps.
Biotin is a vitamin that can do wonders for your hair, skin,
and nails. It’s especially great for keeping your hair strong and
healthy. You can find it in a bunch of different foods, like eggs,
nuts, whole grains, and leafy greens, but sometimes it’s hard to
get enough of it through diet alone. That’s why a lot of people
choose to take biotin supplements or use biotin-infused hair care
products. Keep in mind, though, that what works for one person
might not work for another. If you’re thinking of trying it out, it’s
always a good idea to check with your doctor first.
It’s also important to shampoo your hair regularly, but not too
often. Shampooing too often can leave your hair dry and brittle,
while not shampooing enough can lead to a build-up of oil and
dirt. In general, it’s recommended that you shampoo your hair
every other day or every two to three days, depending on your
hair type and personal preferences. Also, I like to shampoo my
hair twice as well because I feel like once doesn’t get all the dirt
out fully. Some baddies choose to wear wigs as a way to express
49
their individuality and style, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong
with that. In fact, wearing wigs can be a lavish way to experiment
with different looks and styles. And the best part is that you don’t
need hair to be a baddie - confidence, style, and attitude are all
you need to rock any look you choose!
Wig care is an essential part of maintaining the longevity and
appearance of your wigs. Whether you wear wigs for medical
reasons or simply as a fashion statement, proper wig care can
help keep your wigs looking their best for as long as possible.
Another thing to keep in mind is that there are lots of different
types of wigs out there, each with their own care instructions.
Synthetic wigs, for example, require different care than human
hair wigs. It’s important to read the care instructions that come
with your wig so you know how to take care of it properly. But
don’t worry - wig care is actually pretty simple once you get the
hang of it. Just be gentle when you’re washing and styling your
wig, and use products that are specifically designed for wigs.
Anyways don’t be afraid to experiment with different looks and
styles until you find the one that makes you feel most confident
and beautiful.
50
When it comes to being a baddie, it’s all about attitude,
confidence, and style - not about how much hair you have. Some
of the most iconic baddies of all time have rocked everything
from buzz cuts to long, flowing locks, and they all looked amazing
doing it. The truth is, hair has nothing to do with being a baddie
however if do have natural hair you should definitely implement
a haircare routine.
What matters is how you feel about yourself and how you present
yourself to the world. So if you’re feeling like a baddie, go ahead
and embrace it - hair or no hair! You don’t need to look a certain
way to feel confident and empowered, and that’s what being a
baddie is all about.

Goals, Motivation and
Manifestation
Goals
When it comes to setting goals, it’s principal for baddies to be
specific and realistic. This means setting clear objectives that are
achievable within a certain timeframe. You need to break down
your goals into smaller, more manageable steps to make them
less overwhelming. It’s also helpful to write down your goals and
keep them somewhere visible as a constant reminder of what you
are working towards.
To achieve your goals, baddies should be proactive and take
action towards your objectives. This means being willing to take
risks, make mistakes, and learn from them. You should also be
open to feedback and constructive criticism from others, as this
can help you grow and improve. To sum up, you need to stay
motivated and focused on your goals, even when faced with ob-
stacles or setbacks. This means finding ways to stay inspired and
motivated, such as surrounding oneself with encouraging people,
listening to uplifting music, or practicing self-care. Once a goal
has been established, it’s helpful to break it down into smaller,
53
more reasonable steps. This can make the goal seem less intimi-
dating and help you stay motivated and focused. You should try
and stay organised along the way, this can be done by creating a
schedule or to-do list, or using a planner or app.
You should also be willing to take risks and step out of your
comfort zones in order to achieve your goals. This might mean
trying something new or taking on a challenge that seems difficult
or intimidating. Ultimately, baddies should always try to stay
positive and believe in themselves. By staying focused, motivated,
and confident, you can achieve your goals and live your best life.
Here are some tips and points I like to stick by:
- Be willing to embrace and adjust to your goals as required.
- Hold yourself responsible and take control of your actions.
- Learn from your mistakes and failures.
- Stay committed to your goals, even when progress seems slow.
- Let go of what you can control and only focus on what you can
control.
- Value yourself and be true to yourself.
- Celebrate milestones/achievements throughout your journey.
- Never speak negatively into existence only positive.
54
Motivation
Motivation is the key to achieving goals and overcoming
obstacles. However, it can become difficult to stay motivated,
especially when facing problems or encountering inconvenient
situations. You can get inspired by other baddies who have
achieved similar goals and use their success stories as motivation
to keep moving forward.
Surround yourself with positive vibes and don’t forget to take care
of your physical and mental health. Remember to focus on your
strengths and use them to reach your goals. Keep your supportive
friends close and rely on them for support and encouragement.
Life can throw you some curveballs, but if you stay focused and
stay true to yourself, you can achieve anything you set your
mind to.
Another major way to stay motivated is to celebrate small
victories along the way. When we reach small milestones, you
have to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate your pro-
gress. This keeps us motivated and focused on our end goal. It’s
also important to be flexible and adjust your goals as needed.
55
Unexpected failures may occur and goals may need to be ad-
justed to reflect these changes. But does a baddie ever give up?
No. Being flexible keeps you motivated and keeps you moving
forward when things don’t go as planned. At last, it is prime to
remember why we started in the first place.
When you’re feeling unmotivated, it helps to remember your
original motivation and why you wanted to achieve your goal in
the first place. Staying connected to your “why” can help you stay
focused on your end goal, even in challenging situations.
How to overcome laziness & tiredness:
-Make your goals manageable.
-Don’t expect perfection.
-Use positive self-talk, not negative self-talk.
-Create an action plan.
-Use your strengths.
-Recognise what you have accomplished along the way.
-Ask for help.
-Avoid distractions.
56
Manifestation
Manifesting is a powerful tool that can help baddies achieve their
goals and live their best lives. To manifest something means to
bring it into existence through the power of thought and
intention. Many baddies believe that star signs and crystals can
help enhance the power of manifestation. Some believe that
crystals like clear quartz, amethyst, and rose quartz can help
amplify one’s intentions.
The process of manifestation involves focusing one’s thoughts
and energy on a specific goal or desire, and then taking action
towards that goal. This might involve creating a vision board,
repeating affirmations, or meditating your intentions. By staying
focused, positive, and committed to their goals, baddies can har-
ness the power of manifestation to create the life they truly desire.
It’s important to note that manifestation is not a magic solution
to all of life’s problems. Rather, it is a tool that can help you stay
focused and motivated on your goals. By visualising and
affirming your desires, you can stay inspired and energised even
when faced with obstacles or setbacks. It’s key to take action
57
towards your goals, rather than simply waiting for things to
happen. This might mean taking risks, trying new things, or
stepping outside your comfort zone. By combining the power of
manifestation with action, baddies can create the life they truly
desire.
Whether through star signs, crystals, or other tools, the key to
successful manifestation is staying focused, positive, and
committed to your goals. Another important aspect of
manifestation is learning to let go of limiting beliefs and negative
self-talk. Many people struggle with self-doubt or feelings of
unworthiness, which can hold them back from achieving their
goals. Manifestation involves replacing these negative thoughts
with positive affirmations and beliefs. This might involve
repeating affirmations like “I am worthy of success and
happiness” or “I
58
have the power to create the life I desire.” By focusing on positive
thoughts and beliefs, baddies can shift their mindset and attract
more positivity and abundance into their lives. Ultimately,
manifestation is about taking control of your thoughts and energy,
and using them to create the life you truly desire. With practice,
patience, and persistence, you can harness the power of
manifestation to achieve their dreams.
On the other hand manifestation is not an instant solution, and it
can take time and effort to see results. Many people experience
doubts or setbacks along the way, which can make them question
the effectiveness of manifestation. However, you need to
stay patient and committed to the process, even when
progress seems slow or uncertain. Manifestation involves
aligning your thoughts and energy with a specific goal or desire,
and then taking action towards that goal. This requires both focus
and persistence. While it may not happen overnight,
manifestation is a very powerful tool. For me, I like to use crystals
while manifesting as I’ve learnt how to operate with them and they
work best for me.
59
Here are some points that you need to know about crystals and
manifesting:
- Choosing the right crystal is important when using them for
manifestation. Different crystals have different properties and can
be used to manifest different things. For example, rose quartz is
often used to manifest love, while citrine is used to manifest
abundance and prosperity.
- Once you’ve chosen the right crystal, it’s important to cleanse
and charge it before using it for manifestation. This involves
clearing any negative energy from the crystal and infusing it with
your own positive energy and intentions.
- To use a crystal for manifestation, you can hold it in your hand
or place it on your body while visualising your desired outcome.
This involves imagining yourself already having achieved your
goal or feeling the emotions associated with that outcome.
- Crystals are simply a tool for manifestation, and the real power
comes from within. By aligning your thoughts and energy with
your desired outcome, you can use crystals to help manifest the
life you truly desire.
60
- It’s important to stay focused and positive while using crystals
for manifestation. Any doubts or negative thoughts can interfere
with the process and prevent you from achieving your desired
outcome.
- Crystals can also be used to enhance other manifestation
practices, such as affirmations or vision boards. You might place
a crystal on your vision board or hold it in your hand while
repeating affirmations to help amplify your intentions and
manifest your desired outcome.
Here are some different manifestation methods you can try:
-Visualisation: This involves creating a mental image of your
desired outcome and focusing on it regularly to help bring it into
reality.
-Gratitude: This requires focusing on what you already have in
your life and expressing gratitude for it. By focusing on what
you’re thankful for, you can attract more positivity and
abundance into your life.
-Act as if: This means acting as if your desired outcome has
already happened. By embodying the feelings and emotions of
your desired outcome, you can help bring it into reality.
61
-Affirmations: You need to repeat positive statements to
yourself to help overcome limiting beliefs and reprogram your
subconscious mind.
-Journaling: Writing down your desires, goals, and intentions
regularly to help clarify your thoughts and focus your energy on
what you genuinely want.
-Scripting: This means writing out a detailed story of your desired
outcome as if it’s already happened. By visualising your desired
outcome in this way, you can help bring it into reality.
-Meditation: Quieting your mind and focusing on your breath to
help reduce stress and anxiety and improve your overall
well-being.
-Energy work: This involves working with your body’s energy
centres, such as chakras, to help balance your energy and align it
with your desires.
-Gratitude jar: For this you should writing down things you’re
grateful for on slips of paper and put them in a jar. By focusing
on your blessings regularly, you can attract more positivity in life.
62
Body Positivity
Body positivity is a dominant aspect of baddie culture. Baddies
embrace their bodies, no matter what shape or size, we focus on
feeling confident and beautiful in their own skin. They
understand that everyone is different and that there is no
“perfect” body type. Baddies also recognise that self-love and
acceptance is a journey, and that it can take time to fully embrace
and love your body. They surround themselves with positive
influences and support systems that encourage body positivity and
self-love. You need to also take care of your physical and mental
health, which helps you feel more confident and positive about
your body.
If you’re feeling down about your body, remember that you’re
beautiful just the way you are, and you’re a baddie always.
63
In addition to loving our own bodies, we as baddies also
encourage others to love themselves too. We know that everyone
has their own unique beauty and want to help others see that too.
You need to often compliment your friends and loved ones, and
baddies never make anyone feel bad about their appearance.
Being a baddie means you believe that everyone deserves to feel
good about themselves and their bodies. Therfore because YOU
are a baddie, remember to lift others up and help them see their
own beauty too.
Social media can have a negative impact on body image and
self-esteem. Many social media platforms are filled with images
of “perfect” bodies, which can make people feel insecure and
inadequate. These images are often heavily edited or filtered,
which can create unrealistic beauty standards. As a result, people
may feel pressure to conform to these standards and may develop
negative thoughts and feelings about their own bodies. This can
lead to a cycle of self-criticism and low self-esteem, which can be
harmful to mental health. It’s important to remember that social
media is NOT real life, and that everyone has insecurities and
flaws. By focusing on self-love and acceptance, rather than
comparison and criticism, we can work towards a more positive
and inclusive culture that celebrates all body types.
64
Here are a few compliments that you can give to yourself or
someone to boost happy endorphins:
1. You are beautiful just the way you are.
2. Your body is strong and capable of amazing things.
3. You have a unique and special beauty that is all your own.
4. Your body is perfect just the way it is, imperfections and all.
5. You radiate confidence and self-love.
6. You are worthy of love and acceptance, no matter what anyone
else says.
7. Your body tells a story of all the amazing things you’ve
experienced in life.
8. You are more than your appearance and your worth is not
defined by your body.
9. You are unique and special, and that’s what makes you
beautiful.
10. You have the power to change the world, just by being
yourself.
Remember, body positivity is a journey, and it’s okay to have bad
days. But by focusing on self-love and acceptance, you can learn
to embrace your body and become a more confident and em-
powered version of yourself.
65
Non Appearance Compliments
‘I admire your passion and drive’
‘You’re such a great listener’
‘It has been amazing to watch you grow’
‘I feel so comfortable around you’
‘Your confidence inspires me’
‘You are kind and full of courage’
‘You light every room you enter’
‘I have learnt a lot from you’
‘You have the best energy’
66
Social Media
Before starting this chapter, I just want to clarify that you do not
need social media, unless it is part of your job or you need it for
work or you want it just because you want it. It’s okay to not have
social media and to be honest I wish I didn’t because it really
does take all my time up.
However, I am super grateful for it and how much it has helped
me and the opportunities it gives. Social media can be super toxic
if you get wrapped up in it. That’s why you need to make sure
you don’t spend all your time and energy into it especially if it’s
just for fun. You definitely have to set a time limit, also when it
comes to how long you spend on your electronics. Social media
is also a very fake place, a lot of the stuff you see on Instagram is
just everyone showing their
67
achievements and positives. Side note it’s very rarely someone
shows their failures and the negatives that happen.
Social media has become a fundamental part of our daily lives
and it can help us with so many things. For example, if you need
help with anything people love to post their experiences and their
thoughts/opinions. Overall, it can be extremely helpful when it
comes to finding jobs, making friends, meeting the love of your
life. However, it is important to be mindful of our usage and
behaviour on these platforms.
You have to remember to always be conscious of the content you
consume and share. Make sure that the information you share is
factually accurate and does not spread hate or negativity.
It is okay to showcase your opinion and thoughts however if it
comes across as bullying or said in a spiteful way to hurt others, it
should not be said. In another way do not be a keyboard
warrior! Baddies do not tolerate bullying others on social media,
we don’t condone abuse or hate and never will as its wrongful
to do so.
68
Baddie social media tips:
-Post consistently
-Stick to your target market.
E.g. - Makeup - continue doing consistent makeup tips/hacks
tricks and stick to that market instead of switching to fashion as
you won’t get as much interaction. Clothes / fashion - stick to
doing hauls and styles and trends of the year and seasons. If your
gender is more men maybe speak about sports or more personal
content. Your insights matter so much in this situation because
you need to look at your age
gender and location.
-Engage with your audience. (Reply back)
-Make friends in the same market as you and engage with each
other to share followers.
E.g.
-Makeup
-Fashion
-Sport
-Comedy
-Take appealing content (no heavily filtered content)
-Make sure to enjoy and love what you are doing because people
can notice half-hearted content.
69
TikTok shop is also expanding rapidly so in my opinion it’s the
next big thing. It’s also a huge opportunity for anyone to use.
-Join the TikTok creator fund (reach 1k followers)
-Go live and collect virtual gifts.
-Crowdfund projects by collecting donations from people.
Ensure that you chose your platforms wisely. Not all social media
are generated to be equal so it’s important to choose the ones that
align with your interests and goals. By following these tips and
guidelines, you can maximise your knowledge of social media
while minimising the potential drawbacks.
Social media is pretty great, there’s no denying it. It’s a way to
stay in touch with people you love, share your thoughts, and learn
new things. But it’s also important to not let it take over your
life. Make sure you’re still getting out there and experiencing the
world in person, and not just through a screen. And if you’re
thinking about starting a YouTube channel, remember to be
yourself, engage with your viewers, and try new things. Above all,
have fun with it baddies!
