Request for Compilation of the Lists of Students who are finding it difficult to register their courses on the portal
for past sessions
The above subject matter refers. Kindly help bring to the notice of Deans and Heads of Departments that the Vice
Chancellor has directed that cases of inability of some students to register on the portal be disaggregated and the
compiled list(s) of such cases be forwarded to him thereafter for consideration and appropriate action. At the level of
PMT we have identified the following as the major reasons for such students’ inability to register as and when due:
A. wrong billing by Smart School and Bursary
B. late removal of Smart School fee for those who participated in SIWES and Teaching Practice
C. a year long visit to French Village
D. crash of the former portal
E. late approval for staff whose ward’s fee is being deducted from his/her salary
F. late issuance of admission letter
G. late consideration of case of examination malpractice
H. late release of verdict for involvement in examination malpractice
I. late issuance of discharge letter after having served punishment for involvement in examination malpractice
J. late release of discharge letter to exonerated students from alleged examination malpractice
K. late approval of leave of absence
L. change of curriculum and lateness in effecting such on the portal
M. wrong definition of course code in the curriculum
N. omission of course code in the curriculum uploaded on the portal
O. delay in approval of extra units due to late computation of results
P. omission of results from the upload of legacy results on the new portal
Q. sudden disappearance of formally registered courses on the portal
R. late approval of transfer of student from one faculty/department to the other
S. delay in the upload of results of pre-requisite course
T. late payment of requisite fees
U. others
Heads of Departments should please compile such lists both in hard and soft (Excel) copies using the format overleaf.
The hard copies of the compiled lists should be forwarded to Mr. Adekunle ADEDOJA, Secretary of PMT whose office
is located on the ground floor of the main ICT building not later than Monday 15th July 2024 by 12 noon while the soft
copy (Excel) should be sent to pmt@eksu.edu.ng.
