Central Subject of the Surah
Surah focuses on Tawhid, prophet hood and rising
form the dead. The surah refers to the Quran as
guidance, mercy and warning for mankind and that
the Prophet Muhammad, the peace and blessings of
Allah be upon him, is sent by Allah, the Lord of the
universe, as a warner and messenger. It also confronts
the disbelievers who reject resurrection and life in
hereafter. To substantiate (provide evidence to
support or prove the truth of) the surah's main
argument, stories of the older prophets and their
struggles against disbelief and corruption are
presented as a means of admonition and exhortation
for the reader.
