My marriage solemnized with Karthik Varma Muppalla on

09.10.2019 in accordance hindu rituals in presence of our parents and
relatives at Bengaluru and all expenses of wedding followed by
reception was entirely borne by my parents. After the wedding I
started to live in our matrimonial house along with my husband and
my parents in law. Karthik Varma Muppalla is MBA degree
dolderand was working at yahoo as content analyst during the time of
our marriage.

I would like to bring to kind notice that during the first week
after our marriage, my husband started behaving abnormally and
consistently insisted me to disclose my relationships with other male
before our wedding. As I explained him that I did not have any kind
of relationship with any male before our wedding he told me that
“during this century we all have a time to date before our wedding”
and accusing me of having relationships prior to our marriage and for
the same reason he was not ready to consummate our matrimonial
relationship. The very next day he conveyed our communication to his
mother and my mother-in-law started harassing me orally by telling
that I’m not fit to be a daughter-in-law and that person ought to have
got a better wife than me. She continuously started making racist
remarks about my dark skin and my appearance and stated that her
son would have got better wife than me. Later on 15.10.2022 we went
to Mauritius for our post wedding vacation as honeymoon, there he
informed me that he is not intending to consummate our weeding as
his parents would fight if we consummate our marriage and he said
that he did not want to have children for another 14 years and forced
me to freeze my eggs for next 14 years and to which I did not agree.

I would like to bring to kind notice later returning from our post
wedding vacation my mother-in-law did not allow us to sleep together
in same room. In the month of December, 2019 my husband was
removed from his job and my mother-in-law and Father-in-law started
accusing me that I am bad luck for their son and I am the reason that
their son lost his job and demanding to get dowry of Rs. 10,00,000/-
(Rupees Ten Lakhs only) as I am unworthy of being their sons wife
and to compensate his loss of job and started harassing me verbally as
“bitch, lenja, etc”.

I would like to bring to your kind attention that during year

2020 I was practicing as doctor. My mother and father -in-laws
created rucks out of me pursuing job and commented that a women
like me is not fit go for work and I should be at home doing house-old
chores as a servant and threatened me that they are letting to work just
because it would not give time to me and my husband to spend time
together. When it was brought to my husband knowledge about the
same he conveyed that he agrees with his parents. I was in no position
to live in matrimonial house I conveyed my hardship I am facing with
my husband and family conveyed the same to my parents who were
living in Hosur, Tamil Nadu convinced me to stay and adapt with
their family and respecting to their wishes I stayed I matrimonial
house with all harassment. Abnormal and irrational behavior of my
husband continued and I did not find any changes in his behavior and
my husband did not talk to me for months and constantly got out
during late nights in between his sleep and did not disclose his
whereabouts.

I would like to bring to your kind attention that in the month of

January, 2021 we got to know I was pregnant. In in the month of
April, 2021 i.e., the second wave of Covid-19 my husband was
diagnosed with Covid- 19 and I requested him to self-isolate as I was
3-4 months pregnant and that it would spread to me and my baby but
he denied to get self-isolated and purposely kept coughing and
sneezing sitting beside me and responded that I should also bare the
pain of covid-19 that he is suffering even though knowing that it
would harm the fetus. I having no other choice got self-isolated in a
room for the purpose maintaining my health and constant care of my
fetus. I had no support during my entire period of pregnancy my
husband and his parents.
 I bring to your kind attention that even after birth of our child
he repeatedly said that he did not wanted the child and that all he
wanted to fulfil his sexual life and not to have children. On 16 th April,
2022 when I staying at my parents place, my husband suddenly
barged on 17th April, 2022 at around 04.45 AM and started sexually
abusing to have intimacy with him and when he heard my parents
waking up he ran away at around 5.30AM -6.00 AM. On the next day
17.04.2022 he came back to my parents place and started abusing my
father and spitting on the face of my father and on floor. Even after
his irrational behavior my parents convinced me to go back to
matrimonial house along with my husband to take care of him and I
agreeing with my parents went along with my husband on the same
day. On arriving to my matrimonial home around he again tried to
sexually abuse in unnatural way and informed me that somebody has
given him a black magic coin having a hole in it which to be kept in
his pocket and have suggested him to pleasure a woman in an
unnatural way to change is fortune to which I denied to give him
sexual favors he stared hitting me and spat on my face. On the same
evening of 18.04.2022 he showed me a video on his phone where he
is seen wearing a saree belonging to his mother and bowing down and
he after that he worn a saree in front of me and started hitting me
commenting that a man should not hit a woman and hence he is
wearing a saree and hitting me. Later after few hours after the incident
he started blabbering that somebody is making him do things and
forcing him and making him kill somebody next to me and during the
same time he picked stools (waste from human body) that was present
in diaper of my infant daughter which was lying beside me and ate it
and also forced me to eat the same. Out of panic and fear I called my
parents who lived just half an hour away rushed down to my
matrimonial and saw bruises and explained them the incident took
place. I would like to bring to your attention that my father after the
above incident called my mother-in-law and father-in-law and
discussed about his behavior and to which they informed that he is
behaving in this way as he is having no job and demanded Rs.
5,00,000/- to which my father said that he cannot afford that much
money.

Later my father convienced my husband to live a prosperous

life with me and to which he agreed and decided to live sepeately and
take a residence on rent situated at No. 1326, Ground Floor, Siddhi
‘A’ Block, 15th Cross, 20th Main Road, Sahakarnagar, Bengaluuru.
Inspite of all the hardships I faced I still lived with my husband in
above mentioned home. On August 11th 2022 in the first night of
moving in, he woke me up in the middle of night at 3 am and spat
on my face for no reason and started verbally abusing calling “bitch”
“lenja” and during same when my infant daughter started crying out
of hunger to which he snatched the infant in his hand and started
shouting at her that he always wanted a boy and not a girl child. I fell
on his feet and begged him to give her to me but instead he kicked me
in the face and threatened me and asked me to get out of the house.
On the very next day morning when I was in the bathroom he locked
the bathroom from outside for more than half an hour and repeatedly
locked me on alternatives days. He did not stop harassing me and
abusing me and on 20.08.2021 he called my parents and pushed me
and my infant out of the matrimonial house along with my few cloths.
My parents having no other choice took me to their place situated at
No. 214, Rohitha Gardens, Near tata nagar water tank, Kodigehalli,
Banglore North, Sahakarnagar- 560092. After which my father
contacted parents of my husband explained about the incident to
which they conveyed that they would only allow me back if we give
them a sum of Rs. 5,00,000/-. I and my infant daughter having no
other place is currently living with my parents.

I, under these circumstances I request your good self to take

appropriate legal action against aforesaid 1) Karthik Varma Muppalla
(husband), 2) Narayan raju M (father-in-law) and 3) Narayanamma M
for having mentally and physically harassing me and demanding
dowry.
