Karakter cinta lingkungan harus ditanamkan sejak dini agar menjadi kebiasaan praktik
baik masyarakat.
menjaga bumi. Materi dikemas dalam bentuk drama “Jaga Lingkungan, Jangan Buang
Sampah Sembarangan”, games kreatif “Gambar Bareng Lingkungan Impian”, permainan
kreatif “Misi Penyelamat Bumi: Membuat Kotak Sampah dari Bahan Sisa”, dan
komitmen jaga bumi dengan cap tangan. Evaluasi ketercapaian program dilaksanakan
Abstract:
The value of environmental awareness must be instilled from an early age, hence, that it becomes
a habitual good practice within the community. A leadership project titled “Take Care of the
Earth, Take Care of the Future,” organized by SIAP 86 in collaboration with TBM Kolong,
provided creative educational activities for children aged 7 to 15 years old. The program aimed
to cultivate environmental awareness by encouraging waste sorting based on type, making trash
bins from recycled materials, and fostering a collective commitment to protect the Earth.
The educational content was delivered through a drama titled “Take Care of the Environment,
Don’t Litter,” a creative drawing activity “Draw Our Dream Environment Together,” a hands-
on game “Earth Rescue Mission: Making Trash Bins from Recycled Materials,” and a handprint
pledge symbolizing a commitment to care for the Earth.
Program outcomes were evaluated through interviews with the participating children and TBM
Kolong volunteers. Based on these interviews, it was concluded that the children showed an
increased awareness of the importance of disposing of waste properly. In addition, as a tangible
action to uphold their environmental commitment, the children presented their creations—
organic and inorganic trash bins—to be used at the TBM Kolong site.
