Order of the day

1. Greetings and welcoming the audience


● (Andrea) Welcome everybody to this English day. This activity will start with the
spelling bee contest and will be followed by the English intervention performed by 11 th
grade students
● (Karen) We also want to welcome parents and teachers to this English day, we hope
you can enjoy the activities prepared for the day. Please let’s welcome our presenters
Camilo Páez and Yulians

2. Spelling bee contest


● (Camilo) Let’s start this English day with the spelling bee contest. In this competition,
students will spell different vocabulary words and compete with each other to win in
their own category. The competitors will have a set time to spell the words and the
jury will decide the winner for each of the categories.

● So, first of all, for the competitors and for the audience we will present to you the
spelling bee contest rules. Please, pay close attention to them (Yulians English rules)
(Camilo Spanish rules)

● (Yulians) Now, let’s please welcome the jury for the competition:
- The first jury is Jorge Rosero. He is an English teacher from the school Behlemitas.
- The second jury is Carlos Diaz. He is also an English teacher who graduated from
Uis.
● (Camilo) Now, we begin with the competition. I will mention the category. Please
stand up and come to the stage once your name is called.
● (Yulians) For the first category let’s please welcome the competitors Alisson Sofía
Avendaño Pico, Luciana Camero Jaimes, Maria Victoria Mateus Pombo and Jerónimo
Parra Rueda from second grade. Now, from third grade, let's welcome Dulce María
Jeréz Quintero, María José Orozco Becerra, Luciana Santamaría Manrique and
Jerónimo Torres Camargo.

(Students go to the stage and do the spelling)

(Camilo) The students who participated in this category, please come for your diploma
● (Yulians) For the second category let’s please welcome the competitors María José
Berdugo Jeréz, Isabel Sofía Gamboa García, Juan Sebastián Rivera Rangel and
Valentina Torres Rincón from fourth grade. Now, from fifth grade, let’s welcome Sofía
Isabella Bautista Herrera, María Paz Barrera Mateus, Sofía Camila Acuña Serrano and
Sophie Alejandra Ibáñez Cáceres.
(Students go to the stage and do the spelling)

(Camilo) The students who participated in this category, please come for your diploma

● (Camilo) Please welcome this musical intervention in charge of Sara Lucia Echavarria
Vega and Gabriela Rueda Mieles.

(Students go and sing)

● (Yulians) For the third category let’s please welcome the competitors José Luis Gómez
Garzón, Juan Camilo Herrera Loaiza, Julieta Rueda Gámez and Isabel Cristina
Echeverría Escobar from sixth grade. Now, from seventh grade, let’s please welcome
Nicolás Rueda Ortega, Elizabeth Meneses Bautista, Paula Alejandra Carrillo Maldonado
and Miguel Angel Quintero Rodríguez.

● (Yulians) For the fourth category let’s please welcome the competitors Juan Felipe
Ardila Cedil, Maria Paula Saavedra Barrios, Isabella Sierra Espinosa and Gabriela
Pradilla Pimienta from eighth grade. Now, from ninth grade, let’s please welcome
Luisa Karolina Parra Gómez, Samuel Henao Bustos and Daniel José Oviedo Celis.

from grade tenth 01. Now, from grade tenth 02, let 's please welcome Paula Valentina
