Letter of Recommendation
To Whom It May Concern,
I am happy to recommend Arjun Singh for any academic or research opportunity that aligns
with his skills and interests. Having taught and known him closely at Swami Shraddhanand
College, University of Delhi, I can say with confidence that he is one of those students who
doesn't just study physics—he actively engages with it, constantly questioning and exploring
beyond the curriculum.
Arjun has been an actively contributed to research since his second semester, beginning with
work on iron nanoparticles, which led to a published paper. His willingness to immerse
himself in experimental research early in his academic journey reflects his curiosity and
dedication. In addition to his undergraduate studies, he is also working on a project on neural
networks at IIT Kanpur, expanding his expertise in computational approaches. His strong
grasp of both experimental and computational techniques makes him well-prepared for
research fields that require a blend of hands-on experimentation and analytical modelling.
One thing I truly appreciate about Arjun is his perseverance. He does not shy away from
challenges—he has faced setbacks, made mistakes, and at times been careless, but he never
stops trying. Occasionally, his eagerness leads him to rush through tasks, but he finds a way
to adapt and deliver. With more structured exposure and guidance, I am confident he can
refine his approach and maximize his potential. Over the years, I have seen him grow,
effectively balancing multiple responsibilities while sharpening his problem-solving skills.
I strongly believe that Arjun will be a valuable addition to any research or academic program
he chooses to pursue. His passion for physics, analytical mindset, and hands-on approach
makes him a promising candidate for future opportunities.
Sincerely,
Dr. Shiva Upadhyay
