INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
These instructions help ensure that Cambridge/Pearson IGCSE/IAS exams are
conducted fairly, securely, and according to international standards.
Candidates must read through the following instructions carefully.
Please note:
● There will be a live recording of the exam to maintain the integrity of the
exams.
● Boys will be seated at the front & girls behind them. You must follow the seating
plan for each exam according to your role number.
Arrive Early:
● Ensure you arrive at the exam room at least 30 minutes before the scheduled
start time. Late arrivals may not be permitted.
● Ensure to use the restroom before the exam starts.
Bring the Necessary Materials:
● Bring your original QID or Passport. No copy will be accepted.
● Bring your Statement of Entry, Black and Blue ballpoint pens, pencils, erasers,
and any other allowed equipment, such as a calculator (if permitted for the
exam).
● Black or blue ink pens are allowed for Cambridge, and only black pens for
Pearson. Do not use correction fluid or a corrector pen.
● All writing materials must be in a transparent pencil case or bag.
● Water bottles must be transparent with no label.
Prohibited Items:
● Do not bring any unauthorized materials, such as notes, textbooks, or mobile
phones. Mobile phones, smartwatches, or any electronic devices are strictly
forbidden inside the exam room.
● If found with any prohibited materials, even if you do not intend to use them, it
will be considered a breach of exam rules and may lead to disqualification.
Dress Code:
● Ensure you follow the school’s dress code.
Follow Invigilators' Instructions:
● Listen carefully to all instructions from the invigilators. If you have any
questions, raise your hand.
Filling in Your Details:
● Complete the front page of your answer booklet or answer sheet with your
candidate number, center number, and other required details when
instructed..
Stay Silent:
● Once the exam has started, remain silent. Do not communicate with other
candidates at any point during the exam.
Exam Timing:
● The time allowed for the exam will be clearly stated. Ensure you keep track of
the time. There will be a clock visible in the room.
No Malpractice:
● Any form of cheating, copying, or malpractice is strictly prohibited. If you are
caught, you may be disqualified from the exam.
Time Management:
● When the invigilator announces that the exam is ending, ensure you finish your
work and stop writing when instructed.
Submitting Your Work:
● Once the exam ends, remain seated silently while your answer sheets are
collected.
● Do not attempt to leave the room until the invigilator gives you permission to
do so.
Two exams on the same day:
● If two exams fall on the same day, you will need to bring your own food to have
after the first exam. Ordering food will not be allowed. Separate rooms will be
allotted for girls and boys upstairs.
