Load Control Valve (Frame Leveling) - If Equipped

The load control valve for the frame leveling cylinder has dual elements. The elements are
installed into a housing which is bolted to the frame leveling cylinder. Both elements of the load
control valve operate in the same manner.
Note: The operation of one element is described.

(A) Return oil
(B) Cylinder pressure
Oil flows into the leveling cylinder through port (9) through check valve (3), and the oil enters
port (4). Oil also flows to chamber (10), through hole (7) and to spring chamber (6) .
Piston (11) moves up from the oil pressure in chamber (10). The pressure lifts spool (13) from the
seat. Oil from the opposite side of the frame leveling cylinder in chamber (1) flows to port (12)
and back to the hydraulic tank via the bank valve.

(C) Blocked oil
When the implement section of the bank valve for frame leveling cylinder is in the HOLD
position, check valve (2) blocks oil in the port to cylinder (1). Also, oil is blocked by check valve
(3) in the port to cylinder (4). Ports (9) and (12) are open to the hydraulic tank via the bank valve.

(B) Cylinder pressure
If the frame leveling cylinder encounters a shock load, the pressure spike that is acting against
annular face (5) would lift spool (8) off the seat and excess pressure would be relieved back
through passage (9). This provides overpressure protection for the cylinder and the lines.
