💡 Explanation (In Simple English & Urdu)
We use the Present Simple Tense to talk about:
✅ Daily routines ( =)روزمرہ کے کامI wake up at 6 in
the morning.
✅ Habits ( =)عادتیںI drink a cup of tea in the
morning.
✅ General truths ( =)سچائیاںGod is one.
✅ Facts ( = )حقائقSnakes live on the ground.
مثال:
I go to school. → میں اسکول جاتا ہوں۔
She drinks tea. → وہ چائ پیتی ہے۔
🔤 Sentence Structure
✅ Affirmative ( )مثبت:
Subject + base verb (+ s/es for he/she/it)
I eat rice.
He eats rice.
❌ Negative ()منفی:
Subject + do/does not + base verb
I do not eat rice.
She does not eat rice.
❓Question ()سوالیہ:
Do/Does + subject + base verb?
Do you eat rice?
Does he eat rice?
📌 Rule: When to add "s" or "es" in Present
Simple
We add "s" or "es" with He / She / It in
Present Simple.
🔹 1. Add "s" to most verbs:
eat → eats
read → reads
play → plays
Urdu:
" اکثر افعال کے آ خ ر میںs"" لگاتے ہیں اگر ف ا ع لHe, She, It" ہو۔
Examples:
He plays football.
She reads books.
🔹 2. Add "es" to verbs ending in:
-ch, -sh, -ss, -x, -o
watch → watches
wash → washes
pass → passes
fix → fixes
go → goes
Urdu:
اگر فعل کے آخر میںch، sh، ss، x، o " آئے توes" لگائیں۔
Examples:
She watches TV.
He goes to school.
🔹 3. Change -y to -ies (after consonants):
study → studies
cry → cries
Urdu:
" اگر فعلy" پ ر ختم ہو اور اس سے پہلے کوئی حرِف صحیح
(consonant) تو،" ہوy" " کوies" میں بدل دیتے ہیں۔
Examples:
He studies English.
She cries a lot.
✅ If a vowel comes before "y" (like play), then just
add "s":
play → plays
say → says
