Leisy:Welcome dear listeners to the podcast: Breaking the Silence.
Today we will
talk about some risk situations that could affect students and teachers in a
classroom. In this session, we’ll focus on cyberbullying.
Today we are joined by:
Youngshu, Esthefany, Yanixa and Pablo.
Leisy: Youngshu, what does cyberbullying mean to you?
Youngshu: It’s a type of bullying that happens on the internet. It involves spreading
rumors, posting embarrassing photos or videos, and sending offensive or
threatening messages through social media.
Leisy: How do you think these situations start?
Yanixa: They often begin as mean jokes, prejudice, or wanting to feel superior to
others. Social media also plays a role because people hide behind a screen to
bother others without thinking about the consequences.
Leisy: How do you think people feel when they’re offended and humiliated?
Esthefany: cm/I think they feel sad, insecure, and scared. Many times, they believe
they’re worthless or that they have no one to talk to.
Leisy: How does this affect the classroom? And what do you think we can do to
improve coexistence?
Pablo: Cyberbullying affects everyone. It makes the classroom environment
uncomfortable, and some classmates become afraid to participate or even come
to school. To solve this, we need to respect each other, listen to others, and not
stay silent if we see something unfair.
