Describe a place of interest in your hometown.
The most fascinating place in my hometown is the Central(Nguyễn Khuyến) Park, located near the main
square. This park is famous for its beautiful flower gardens, ancient trees, and a stunning fountain at the
center. Every weekend, families gather here for picnics while children play in the playground. (What
makes it truly special is the annual Flower Festival held every spring, when the entire park transforms
into a colorful wonderland). I have countless childhood memories of flying kites and enjoying ice cream
with my grandparents in this park.
Do you like living in the city? Why or why not?
Living in the city offers numerous advantages that I truly appreciate. There are always exciting events
happening, from music festivals to art exhibitions, and everything I need is within easy reach. The
efficient public transportation system makes commuting convenient, and there are excellent educational
and career opportunities. However, the fast-paced lifestyle can be exhausting, and I sometimes miss the
fresh air and quiet nights of the countryside. Despite these drawbacks, I believe the city's vibrant energy
and endless possibilities make it an ideal place for young people like me.
Talk about changes in your community.
Our community has undergone significant transformations in recent years. The once quiet neighborhood
with small houses has developed into a modern residential area with high-rise apartments and shopping
malls. While these changes bring convenience with new facilities like fitness centers and supermarkets,
they also come with increased traffic and noise pollution. The sense of close-knit community seems to
be fading as people become busier and interact less. Although progress is necessary, I hope we can find
ways to preserve our community's warm and friendly atmosphere.
Talk about school days in the past.
Education in the past was remarkably different from today's digital classrooms. Students relied heavily
on physical textbooks and handwritten notes, spending hours in libraries for research. Teachers used
chalkboards and overhead projectors instead of smartboards, making lessons more physically
demanding to prepare. Despite lacking modern technology, students seemed more focused during
lessons and developed stronger handwriting skills. The absence of smartphones meant we interacted
more face-to-face during breaks, creating deeper friendships and memorable school experiences.
Talk about teen stress and pressure and how to cope with them.
Modern teenagers face immense pressure from academic expectations, social media, and future
uncertainties. The constant need to excel in exams while maintaining an active social life can be
overwhelming. To manage this stress, I've found that establishing a balanced routine with regular
exercise and sufficient sleep makes a big difference. Talking openly with trusted friends or family
members helps relieve emotional burdens, and practicing mindfulness techniques can improve mental
clarity. It's crucial to remember that perfection isn't necessary - what matters most is doing your best
while taking care of your wellbeing.
Talk about one of the most memorable experiences you have ever had.
My most unforgettable experience was volunteering at a rural orphanage during last summer vacation.
For two weeks, I helped teach English to children who had never had proper language lessons before.
Their enthusiasm for learning and joyful spirits despite difficult circumstances deeply moved me. On the
final day, they prepared a heartfelt thank-you performance that brought tears to my eyes. This
experience taught me the true value of education and the power of simple kindness, changing my
perspective on life completely.
Talk about a natural wonder or a beautiful landscape that you know.
Ha Long Bay in northern Vietnam is one of the most breathtaking natural wonders I've ever seen. The
emerald waters dotted with thousands of limestone islands create a mystical seascape that looks like a
painting. Taking an overnight cruise through the bay, I marveled at the spectacular sunset over the karst
formations and enjoyed kayaking through hidden lagoons. The bay's unique ecosystem, with its floating
villages and diverse marine life, demonstrates nature's incredible beauty and reminds us why we must
protect such precious environments.
Talk about your recent tour.
Last month, I had an amazing opportunity to visit Da Lat, Vietnam's famous mountain city. The cool
climate and pine forests provided a refreshing escape from the city's heat. I particularly enjoyed
exploring the Valley of Love with its colorful flower gardens and taking a cable car over the pine forests
to visit the majestic Datanla Waterfall. The highlight was trying local specialties like artichoke tea and
strawberry jam at the morning market. This trip not only allowed me to appreciate Vietnam's natural
beauty but also gave me precious time to bond with my family away from our busy routines.
Do you think English is a good subject for students to learn at school?
English is undoubtedly one of the most valuable subjects in modern education. As the global lingua
franca, it opens doors to international communication, higher education opportunities, and better career
prospects. Learning English also provides access to a wealth of knowledge, as most academic resources
and technological advancements are published in English first. While mastering any new language
requires effort, the long-term benefits far outweigh the challenges. Schools should emphasize practical
communication skills alongside grammar to prepare students for real-world interactions in our
increasingly connected world.
Talk about the effects of plants and animals on their habitats and the things people should do.
Plants and animals play vital roles in maintaining healthy ecosystems that humans depend on. Trees
produce oxygen, prevent soil erosion, and provide habitats for countless species, while animals
contribute to seed dispersal and natural balance. However, human activities like deforestation and
pollution are destroying these delicate systems at an alarming rate. We must take immediate action by
reducing plastic waste, supporting conservation projects, and adopting sustainable practices in our daily
lives. Simple steps like planting native species in our gardens or choosing eco-friendly products can
collectively make a significant difference in preserving biodiversity for future generations.
Talk about one of your favourite electronic devices.
My smartphone has become an indispensable tool in my daily life, serving multiple purposes beyond just
communication. I use it for online learning through educational apps, staying organized with calendar
reminders, and even monitoring my health with fitness trackers. The camera allows me to capture
precious moments, while translation apps help me practice foreign languages. Although I'm aware of the
potential for distraction, I've set specific rules for myself like turning off notifications during study time.
When used wisely, this powerful device enhances my productivity and connectivity in ways I couldn't
imagine just a few years ago.
Talk about your future career.
I aspire to become a software engineer specializing in artificial intelligence applications. This career
combines my passion for problem-solving with my interest in how technology can improve people's lives.
I'm particularly fascinated by AI's potential in healthcare and education sectors. To achieve this goal, I'm
focusing on mastering programming languages like Python and participating in coding competitions to
gain practical experience. I believe this career path will allow me to contribute meaningfully to society
while working in a field that constantly evolves and challenges me to grow professionally.
