Installation Instructions
Important Information
You must start a new game or use the included Tutorial Skip Saved Games.
No other saves are compatible.
The ‘Upgrades’ section of the pause menu is broken. You need to use the
weapon shop computer to see what upgrades you have bought.
‘Geometry – Ultra High’ and ‘Shadows – Ultra High’ are graphics settings
intended for high-end modern systems. Turn these down if you have low fps.
You should always play using DirectX 9. This fixes lots of bugs.

(Optional) Tutorial skip saved games
1. Choose ‘Regular Start’ or ‘All Weapons Unlocked & Upgraded’
2. Choose a character. You can compare the characters with the image file “Character
details and arm comparisons”.
3. Copy the save file into the Far Cry 2 save directory (\Documents\My Games\Far Cry
2\Saved Games).
4. Can’t see the save in-game? All of them were created on the 1st May 2023, scroll to
that date in the save list.
(Optional) Customisations
All of the customisation options are installed using the same steps.
It is possible to get an error message saying “The filename(s) would be too long for the
destination folder”. In this case you need to move the ‘Tools’ folder found in
‘Customisations’ to the desktop and then try again.
1. Get your ‘patch.fat’ and ‘patch.dat’ files by first following the instructions above
for “Essential Files – Patch Files”. Copy them into the ‘Tools’ folder found in
‘Customisations’.
2. Drag either ‘patch.fat’ or ‘patch.dat’ onto the ‘Gibbed.Dunia.Unpack.exe’ file. This
will create a folder called ‘patch_unpack’.
3. Every customisation option contains a ‘patch_unpack’ folder. To install them you
just need to copy this into the tools folder so it merges with the ‘patch_unpack’
folder you created. If asked if you want to overwrite files, say yes.
4. When finished installing, drag the ‘patch_unpack’ folder in the tools folder
onto the “Gibbed.Dunia.Pack.exe” file and this will create new patch files called
“patch_unpack.fat” and “patch_unpack.dat”.
Rename these files to “patch.fat” and “patch.dat” and copy them into the
‘Data_Win32’ folder in your Far Cry 2 directory.
Please note: if you are installing the ‘Enhanced Texture Addon’, install it as a
customisation using the instructions above before doing the same for any other
texture options.
