Scene II
- A quarrel between Stephano, Caliban and Trinculo
- Caliban wants Stephano to be his lord, and Trinculo is making fun of Caliban asking
Stephano to rule the Island, not Prospero.
- Stephano asks Caliban how to reach prospero so Caliban promises to take him to
Prospero so when he’s asleep he can put a nail through his head and smash his skull,
cut his throat and steal his books of magic.
- Ariel increases the quarrel by imitating Trinculo’s voice.
- Ariel promises to inform Prospero of the killing issue,
Scene III
