7.2 Salient Observations:
7.2.1 Laboratory tests:
7.2.1.1 PTO performance:
i) The maximum PTO power was observed as 35.8 kW against the declaration of
37.3 kW, which is which is within the tolerance limit as specified in IS:12207-
2019.
ii) The specific fuel consumption corresponding to maximum power was observed
as 278 g/kWh against the declaration of 270 g/kWh, which is within the tolerance
limit.

7.2.1.2 Drawbar performance:
i) The maximum drawbar pull with standard ballast corresponding to 15 % wheel
slip was observed as 24.65 kN against the declaration of 15.7 kN, which is within
the tolerance limit as specified in IS:12207-2019.
ii) The maximum drawbar power with standard ballast was observed as 30.9 kW
against the declaration of 29.8 kW, which is within the tolerance limit as specified
in IS: 12207-2019.
iii) The creeping of LHS & RHS of rear tyre over rim was recorded as 15 mm & 50
mm during 10 hour drawbar performance test. This is recommended to looked
into for necessary corrective action.
7.2.1.3 Operator’s seat:
The dimension of longitudinal distance from seat index point to the centre of
differential lock pedal and inclination of seat back rest does not meet the requirement
of IS: 12343-1998 (Re-affirmed in 2014). This is recommended to looked into for necessary
corrective action.
7.2.1.4 Three point linkage:
The distance from end of power take-off to centre of lower hitch point (lower link in
horizontal position) does not meet the requirement of IS:4468 (part-1):1997 (Reaffirmed
in Oct., 2017). This may be looked into for necessary corrective action.
7.3 Maintenance / Service Problems:
No noticeable maintenance or service problem was observed during the test.
7.4 Recommendation with regard to safety on tractor:
The following requirements, inter alia, may be considered for incorporation on the
tractor:
i) Longitudinal distance of from seat index point to the centre of differential lock
pedal and inclination of seat back rest should be as per relevant Indian
Standard for easy maneuverability of tractor.
ii) The spark arrester has not been provided in the exhaust system.
iii) PTO master shield may be provided.
iv) Grease lubricant, oil lubricant type and frequency chart should be provided on
the tractor.
