JH-XX: not the Chinese NGAD
Recently China unveiled two new military aircraft. In this infographic we will focus on the one that had the best images available.
While many people have pointed to the aircraft as a 6th Gen fighter - similar to the US Air Force NGAD (Next Generation Air Dominance), we
suggest this is the JH-XX medium size fighter bomber that PLAAF has been developing, a modern day Sukhoi Su-34.
The depicted notional NGAD aircraft is based on the Lockheed Martin 6th Gen fighter artist impressions with a length similar to an F-111; the JH-XX is based on an top down extrapolation
compared to the J-20 from the images available online.
