Christmasdec Story
Bolton, Ontario
local newspaper 14:52 pm
I splashed up to the door with smothered spaces of muddy footsteps; is this really
going to be the weather on Christmas? I thought in a tiny bit of anger because I
love the beautiful puffy, white, clean layers of snow and it just is more fitting for
every year to snow at Christmas in Bolton. I knocked on the door. "Come in "
yelled Alina, I somehow recognized her voice, the soft, light, kind voice I hear
every day. I opened the door to a frigid cold house. Sadly, they don’t even have a
heater. They heat by a small stone fireplace in the den. I closed the door then
suddenly, right behind me, a tree came crashing in through the entranceway roof
the ceiling collapsing nearly taking down my body. I jumped hitting my knee on
the stair, in pain..."OH, MY GOD Kaylee are you okay, we need to get out of here,
into the city. She said. The girl pulled me up to the chair in her kitchen. “I agree we
really need to get out of here, and find some adults." I then noticed water-a thin
layer leaking into the kitchen from the door. “Look" I ordered the girl. I could
notice the creases of the door mat filling up with water. We both stared to the
entrance the tiles still sliding and churning off the ceiling onto the floor. "We better
put out the fire". Before those branches make their way to it.
"ahh, my knee." I wined, pleading that an adult would come to rescue us. “Come
on, girl, you can hold it in, do you think we’re going to chop off your knee?" We
giggled laughing at the joke, what an oldie. Surprisingly the warm sensation of
laughing in the air seemed to cure my knee. I felt better already, as the vibrating
pain made its way out of my knee cap."But seriously we need to get out of-look
out the back window Alina." We looked down to the little footbridge near the
water......But now it was covered, in the murky boiling water of death. I liked
going in the summer to Alina’s backyard to swim in the bank of the river, but in
the winter time? Someone could get hypothermia because of the freezing, cold
water. Whomever would do that would have lost their mind! The water was rising
but not slowly, quickly! I turned to the kitchen door and saw water leaking from
under the panel of the door and what are the odds that water was going to start
slowly-invading the room. Man, it had already started! "This house is going to be
flooded if we don't get to higher ground quick, Alina." I then turned to the door;
the shards of glass and remains of the door and branches from the tree. I spotted a
pile of debris that had come from the ceiling still sliding and dropping onto the
pile. Then we heard a slight cracking in the wood floor in the entryway. “Alina did
you put out the fire?"Uhhhhhhhnooopppeee"-That crack otherwise known as
crackling, was something burning! We made our way to the den...
Fire was everywhere, it must of spread from the tree branches that snapped onto
the floor-they were tree branches, now just black ash that spread the burning carpet
"Alina go to the pump and get some water, NOW!" Within a second that girl was
off to the kitchen
"The pump is not activating!" Well then, go outside!" Do anything to get water" go
to the bay, do anything, because the fires spreading fast! My duffel!" I screamed."
It was on top of a desk in that room, the flame room at the moment. It had all my
supplies in it and possibly, survival stuff if the house floods. I attempted to walk
across the fire worrying about my cloths and my brand new sneakers my mom just
got me. Life just got tougher. Half way across the room I heard a scream, from the
outdoors. Alina! “Help, Kaylee". I then noticed she was being sucked into the
current, I looked out the window. I could see a small figure out the glass panel,
being bounced and battered around like clothes in a washing machine. I then
grabbed an axe from the fireplace and smashed the window, I turned back noticing
for a split second that the door frame of the room was on fire and the orange and
red was getting deeper, more rich colors. The fire trapped me, I know that the
duffel is also on my priority to get before it turns to a marshmallow ash but Alina
is more important than anything or any food, water, and even my duffel-$50 duffel.
I climbed to the peak of the window like the peak of a mountain, then jumped out
the window, about a 5 foot drop to the bottom. Most it can do is break an ankle, but
this is for Alina.
I landed on my two feet, feeling the bones churn felt painful but then the pain
instantly left the wobbly two stick legs and feet. That was not fun never doing that
again."Kay-lee H---lp me". The message was blurred but I could see the tiny little
post from the bridge-the remaining bridge. first I didn't see her but then I seemed to
locate her tiny head bobbing above the remaining water. “Don’t worry Alina I’ll
come and bring you to sh-. I slipped landing earthwards on my butt, sliding fast
down the small little hill. Making a deep mud path behind me. All I saw was a
glimpse of the den burning down into dark ash, then plummeted into the water.
The dark murky water.
It was cold, I mean cold, felt like -100 degrees. My head bobbing out of the water
to get air then plummeting back in to the murky disgusting dark mess. I could taste
the cold freshwater in my mouth and hints of algae where making their way in. I
also managed to hear Alina’s voice every 4 second interval. I attempted to dog
paddle over to the bay-well not really a bay anymore. The upper part of the tiny
hill. But was unsuccessful. It was hard, really hard. Hypothermia was
foreshadowing me, also trying to creep up my back. It felt nothing like the summer.
I also almost felt numb everywhere. I needed to get out! Wonder if Alina was still
alive? I was having trouble thinking of a way to get out, and it was hard to think
too in general. My body is going to shriveling up into a small ball if I didn't get out
soon. I tried to touch the bottom but the current was too strong. I estimated about 6
more feet under, come on, it’s only the Humber river. I remember the old man that
fell into the river and drowned a few years ago, I hope that’s not going to be me.
This time I dived under, feeling the strength for life not death, as the thought you
are in a good town ran around my head, and I was, a strong person in a good
town...
I was being pulled in the direction of east. The current was extremely strong, I then
did one great big kick, and my shoe fell off! The one thing protecting my feet from
the cold. Everything started to drop. My body temperature dropped, poured out of
me into the water. The cold water had fought its way in. I was just about to give
up, let my body give out....
Hello, hello, HELLO! Kaylee you can't die, come on swim.
I know you’re really good at swimming
Remember the first time you were afraid?
Your older, your stronger you can beat the current!
Wake up, wake up, Kayla wake up!
YOUR GOING TO DIE!
"Huuuh, blurr Alina!" I must of choked on a stray piece of algae or aquatic plant. I
looked up; then looked to the side. The house! But how am I still here? I looked
down to see my one foot wedged in between a 4 foot rock and about 3 footer.
“Kaylee, its Alina!" I looked to the shore, I saw a small figure about 3 feet tall
across the river. It was Alina, she saved herself. I swung my arm west then
splashed it into the water. I just noticed the frigid cold water that I was sitting on
and it felt like my hand was going to fall off. I then moved my left hand south and
splashed it into the water, then I started to wiggle my foot out but I must of hit the
rock so hard that my foot was like it was part of the rock. I then saw a piece of
debris floating down the river. I managed to grip onto it. It was a wood plank that
was light, but was so light that the river could pull it fast and possibly pull me fast
out of that rock.
I grabbed hold of the slippery plank. It was a thin plank that had holes in it. I used
them for grip. Then used the object to pull my counterweight up. It was a second
until my foot started loosening up. It was working! Then in 3 seconds my foot
popped out of the gap and I was free. Now I had to get out of the river. I whipped
my hand to were the house is and let the board free and I paddled. As fast as I
could, my arms got tired but that did not stop me. I was in a life death situation. I
finally came to shore, about a few seconds later and got hold of the other
footbridge post then plumped myself onto the muddy ground. I was about half a
kilometer past the house. I looked up at the road above. I saw water- some water. I
climbed up the slippery bank to the top and looked at the road. I gasped...
Water, water everywhere. Debris floating down the street. New Mill street. That
was the only way to get to the mill street, looked about 5 feet deep. I had a thought
to put my foot in the water but I didn't want to get caught in the current again. I ran
back splashing in the half a foot-deep water underneath the grass and made my
way back before Alina would get to worried.
I finally found my way back looking up seeing the peak of the house. I saw the
broken window and a giant hole-at the side of the house, I also saw a gigantic warp
on the foundation of the house. I then looked down to the bank. I was
overwhelmed to see a SUV parked right on the back lawn! I heard creaks here and
there and leaking pipes as I entered the property; those m&ms that battel to kill,
it’s almost like they won in reality. I looked to the stairs to see Alina sitting on the
steps looking hopeless. “cheer up buttercup, what’s the matter?" I sat down all wet
in discomfort onto the cold dry step. “We’re going to drown, we'll be trapped, it is
hopeless we'll never get out." I looked down to the river for a moment to think of
what to say back. It was definitely darker, the dark reflected of the river. You never
know what’s in that beast. I saw some debris down by the shore Alina must have
picked it out of the water for survival."Huh...this is a hard one." Maybe we could
make some sort of raft out of the debris you bring to the shore?" We looked back to
the river the debris was gone! Where did it go? “No, ah come on, that took me half
an hour to find." We both knew that the only hope wasn't the best, but it would at
least keep us warmer...... the house. We saw the water already risen to the kitchen
door by now probably half a foot deep. We stood up turned around and opened the
door. Water! That’s all I had to say. WATER!
The water was coming in through the front door, it was about a foot deep. I took a
step into the murky water. It was still cold, frigid and I felt a lot of discomfort. I
now hate water. I saw my duffle bag on the kitchen table. “I grabbed it for you
when I put out the fire." I felt terrible, helpless my friend put out the fire when I
never even saved her. She lost all her supplies in the river of darkness. I unpaused
from my thought and position and took another step. Life just got tougher. “Maybe
we can use your blanket in there to stay warm." She suggested. “I agree; why don't
we get some clothes on upstairs." We both agreed and walked to the stairs. It
seemed to get deeper more near the entryway. It looked about 2 feet deep. We both
splashed through the water as quick as we could so we could get out of the cold
water. We started making our way upstairs and opened the door, we left a wet path
behind us. We both went into two washrooms. I went into the hallway washroom
and Alina went into her parents. We both walked out at about the same time in
warm, fuzzy pajamas. Alina had a look on her face, she looked scared believe me
I’m just as scared as she is and we have to survive. Now I knew that the adventure
had just begun.
"I'm kind of getting hungry, you to?" I asked looking down at the steps. Alina
nodded her head. “I just don't feel like going in the cold water again." I whined.
“maybe you have some snacks and drinks in your duffel?" She asked. “Good idea,
I better check. I bent down and grasped the zipper. I pulled the zipper outwards
until it came to a stop. I opened the bag hoping to be food in it, we already had
plenty of water but all I needed was a chip bag, or a packet of rockets any type of
food. I scavenged through the dark bag nothing in the main pocket. I opened the
outer pocket pulling the zipper slowly, hoping to have food in it. I quickly
scavenged through the smaller pocket. Food! I remember the last sleepover that
Alina gave me some Hershey’s and old Dutch chips, juice boxes and it was just
wonderful. Food! I tossed her some chocolates and I opened a chip bag in glory
holding it up into the sky, like a roman warrior then I opened my mouth laying the
crispy, salty, layer of potato deliciousness on my tongue, and it felt like heaven for
a second. The world started spinning starting to say you are a survivor, you did it
help innocent people, save their lives. Everything stopped. I looked at Alina. “Is
there an earthquake happening or what?" She asked. The house started shaking, I
looked to the steps, the water was on the seventh step only one more step until
were done for. I knew this sounded ridiculous but we had to get to higher grounds,
the roof.
The house creaked and the wind roared, howling at the night. “We have to get to
the roof, now, or were as good as-the house creaked but louder, more vicious.
“Maybe getting to the roof isn't the best idea." The girl confessed. “The house is
old, the house has stability problems, you saw the warp, right?" I looked out the
window noticing how angry and deadly the rain looked, we could be trapped, then
again I got on topic remembering-looking at the SUV parked down by the bay but
it was gone I was looking at the bare roof of the large object! The water was now
near the upper deck! “Let’s take it safe, were probably going to have to swim out of
this sticky situation." She nodded again. I ran to the steps without noticing how
deep the water was. I grabbed bowling ball. I remember for a split second the time
when Alina and me went bowling at skyview lanes across town. It was a positive
memory at least, the least it could do was keep me stronger and fight against the
water. I dived splashing, hearing Alina’s blurred words"Hey ----- ------ ------ ---- --
ing I bobbed up for a split second to breath then plunged back into the water
making a tiny splash. I fought against the raging water with my conscious saying
not this time Kaylee, fight the water, fight, fight! I moved my hands the opposite
way I was swimming and pushed and it brought me down, half of the weight being
the bowling ball. It was hard holding the heavy, rubber polyester ball. It pulled me
down fast I was running out of breath quick. I then made it to first floor then went
to the living room. Then I loosened my grip and with all my might I threw the ball
and it smashed through the cheap glass pane. I swam through it holding onto the
frame. I then bobbed my head up and sprouted out of the cold water to get air I
counted to five hoping to get enough air to go back through.
"One...two....three...four...five." Then I dove back in making a great big splash and
swam through the tree and back up the stairs to the surface. “Kaylee, oh thank god
your alive! “I made a breathing hole and an alternative way to get out of this water
box. The window, but you need to hold a good breath. “I said "Ok, but let’s just
play it out for another hour or so and see if the rain dies down, K?""Okay, soldier
what next? “I Asked in humor.
It had been about half an hour or so of waiting. It sounds hard to believe but there
was a centimeter gap that split us from the top step. Or the floor and the tiny wood
gap between the top stair of the top of the stair and the entire top floor. I could
mentally hear the boiling, bubbly dark murkiness. We should probably start to hit
the road now, but I knew Alina wasn't the water person, she probably hates water
from her getting stuck in the current about an hour ago. I didn't blame her. Water is
powerful, it overpowers everyone in every way it can. What if we didn't have
water? Nothing to drink, we couldn't live without water. I pondered the thought in
my head storing it in one of my memory boxes. In a way, strangely it made me
boost up my hope, made me more positive and strong, then I suddenly noticed a
thin layer of water leaking in. The carpet was absorbing, but that wouldn't do any
good for both of us from now to about 16 minutes! I thought, I needed to convince
Alina that she was okay, safe that everything is okay. I couldn’t show my
emotions, what I was feeling right now. I walked over to the girl sitting in the
corner, bored in a way by the expression on her face. This is going to be a hard
mission to take on but we are getting out of here no matter what. I looked at the
water knowing we didn't have much time to get out, if it got more than about 10
feet.
"Alina, Alina I need you to follow instructions, come on please listen we will die if
that water gets any higher. “I seemed to convince her to boost up her hope. I knew
I was going to have to give her a little pep talk. “Alina! Wake up soldier! Where on
a mission to get out of the house because uh...The sharks will come racing in to the
house if we don't get out! Life...or, death? What do you choose soldier? I'd really
hate to leave you here to die..." I looked at the water. I held my hand out, she
sticking hand out as they both collide in the same direction. We shook hands as I
saw a smile making its way out. “Let’s do dis"! I said, mispronouncing "this". We
laughed. Then we got to a survival plan.
"We'll go through the window I made, sounds simple right? “I said with a
questioned face. We both looked down to the front entryway, it looked
very....hopeless. “Maybe we can go down through the back stairs?" She asked. We
looked there, the door probably was still there down by the kitchen, that would be a
perfect hole to get out of if we were to open up the door. I pictured the image in
motion in my head. We looked to the door, the tiny little crawl door. I ran over.
“It’s a little old, we never use those stairs that much, but I guess it’s still worth a
chance to try. “She said. I pushed the tiny latch up and fidgeted the door out of its
placement. And there it was the ruins of the stairs, all I could see beyond the small
door frame was a broom and darkness, that filled the room. I now knew what was
best for us, to tackle the dark stairwell, with water flooding it, I could her drips as a
side noise.
This probably is one of the most dangerous things I’ve ever done in my life.
"These stairs are unsafe, my dad’s working on a project on them, the beams are not
exactly in place...."I looked into the dark room. “It’s still worth a try. “I said back.
In a way the dark stairwell looked kind of...creepy from the outside. This 'll be fun.
I turned around and walked to the other side of the room to grab my duffel. I then
turned around, “Come on, let’s go!" Alina stood up and walked with me over to the
small door. I looked into the dark square forming within the door frame. Gave me
the creeps.... Then we started crawling into the hole one by one.
I then stood up, the sealing arching upwards from the door. Must be a structural
thing with the house, how inefficient. I then stood up followed by Alina standing
up to “ouch." We both bumped our heads on the wall, feeling the pain ring out of
one ear then sliding back into the other, typical head bump. I then focused my two
eyes on the walls and floor, noticing broom sticks, towels, and tools scattered on
shelves. Basically a big junk hall. “Watch out, the stairs could drop at any point.
“She said. Any point, any point! I had to be careful and focused my eyes more on
the ground. My eyes then suddenly darted to the ground, I heard noises, like water
noises. I kept walking, slowly not thinking too much or I’d fall in."Ahhh", Kaylee
help me. Oh my god, I can't see her. I heard splashing coming from the other side
of the room. We screwed up, decently screwed up. I plopped my duffel down onto
the floor, pushing everything out wherever my clothes went I didn't care, I was
going to save her. I then seemed to finger something that felt like a cold silk
material-it was a flashlight! I pulled it out of the bag, and stood up it practically
almost bounced off my fingertips. I then dragged my fingers across the aluminum
and found the rubber bump at the other end of the cylinder prior to the lightbulb. I
pushed on the button, my ands all sweaty and the light bounced across the room
and pointed to the sloped ceiling. The light beam was surprisingly strong. I then
ran over to the left of the sloped ceiling pointing my light at the ground. My teeth
were clattering and the room gave you a cold, damp feeling-me, a cold damp
feeling at the moment. I then hit the wall banging my head against the weak
drywall, and made a tiny crack, I felt noses at the. The world turning. Go get that
girl, now, go get that girl now! Everything stopped. Weird. I turned wiping my
head in the direction of what I believed was the stairwell, I could still her splashes.
“Alina, I'm coming for ya." I then looked to the wall, it felt that the walls were
trying to enclose me. I then instantly looked down and tripped."eeeeeehh" I
smashed my head on the ground at the edge of the stair. Blood gushing out, like
food coloring in a glass of water. Staining the edge of the water. looked like
clouds. I felt like I was going to fall into space, and time....
Kaylee, guess who?

thiiiiing goes we-
"MEMORINOWHO?!"
"Kaylee help", My head was aching, I saw the flashlight slowly rolling around at
the surface, I popped up and took a great big breath. Then plunged back in the
water. The whole world was against us, especially water, and no matter wat
happened, this was a life or death situation all over.
I slipped out of the water and grasped the flash light, my hands were wet and I was
hard to see in the dark. I immediately pointed in the direction of the screaming, the
beam took shape of the wall. Then I pointed it down, it was her! Struggling,
splishing and splashing everywhere just looking for safety. I then dived in and
swam with the flashlight. "Alina, we h--ave light now." I jumped up to the surface,
it was pitch black, the dived back down. Her face was just laying skywards on the
surface, hopefully she could hear me. I was about to say something then noticed
her foot, I pointed the flashlight for more detail. Her foot was wedged between the
beam and the stair. Looked like a pretty tight gap, her foot......just fit it perfectly. I
popped up to the surface again to grab some air. This time I didn't plunge down.
“I’m going to get you out of that beam Alina, no worries just stay in the same
position, ok?". She did what I believed to be a tiny nod or a struggled nod. Either
or, she still looked terrified and so was I.
I bobbed up for a big breath then dived back in to the murky death. I held the
flashlight moving to where her foot was. Then I swam over to her leg. I grabbed on
to it and pulled on it with as much force as I had. I felt it wiggle, a tiny bit.
I kept jerking it with my two arms, it was coming looser and looser. I then grabbed
the beam with one hand and the wood with the other. The wood seamed old and
frail so all I really had to do was break it, or snap it. I grabbed my flashlight and
smashed the wood with the bottom of it and it snapped. The wood started slowly
loosening. I looked up for a second and saw that Alina’s face was just barely above
the surface. I swam up and pulled her body from under her arms and she came
loose! Loose!
"Thank you so much Kaylee, you saved my life you are a real brave young
woman." I smiled then notice the water leaking onto the second floor." We should
probably start heading." We both nodded and turned are heads at each other. “Let’s
go get out of...HERE!!!!!!!" I then grabbed my duffel which I placed earlier and I
jumped in plunging into the dark, murky, black, disgusting water. Followed by
Alina. Are adventure is going to come to an end sometime, but in this case NOW....
Again, again as I plunged into the dark water. Again a 5% chance of life right now.
Again-I immediately lost sight of where I was going! I laid my arm down, and I
fingered what seemed to be the step. I grabbed the edge, the freshwater making me
sway in an upwards motion. I fingered my way down step by step, plank by plank,
kick by kick and hit something hard on my head. I flicked on my flashlight
gleaming through the hall, or stairwell and bouncing off the walls. I shined it on
what I hit. The first thing I saw was the handle; It was the door. I then swam up
kicking something hard. It was what I believed to be Alina. I flashed the light back
at her, her hand covering her eye. I then looked back focusing on the main thing-
getting out. I griped the doorknob with my numb fingers and turned it clockwise.
The door opened I pushed it out of its placement and swam out, I swam to the
kitchen sunroof hole. I popped up. The little cavern was a perfect breathing hole. I
saw the panes at the top and heard the tiny little drops hitting the surface. I looked
back and saw Alina. "Fhoo, that’s cold, icy cold." She said “I agree". I said, I
looked down to the water, it looked pretty high. I grasped the chain of the
chandelier. So did Alina. If the water had risen another 5 feet or so, we are dead.
"Let’s go." I said, taking a great, deep breath, diving back into the water. I pointed
to the kitchen door signaling that way and swam to the kitchen door, I looked up
seeing that the water had risen above us, the door was under water level. I griped
the knob and turned clockwise again and pushed the door open.
A huge wave of water cam in gushing out of the river and pushed us making us hit
a wall! I put out my hand signaling grab it to Alina. She immediately grasped it,
fingers bouncing off my palm and I grabbed her just in time around the wrist. I
swam and griped the coat hanger, as it started cracking, I gulped down a huge
amount of freshwater making me want to throw up. The house was moving and
creaking underneath us. The foundation just wanting to come out." OWWW" I
looked to my other hand to see a fresh scratch right on my arm. I looked back
seeing the door swept out into the river. The house was going down....and us? we
are going down with it. The house turning and spinning almost three hundred and
sixty degrees. We swayed wherever the water went we went. Like a plank of wood
down the river. Suddenly the house came out of its foundation. The whole house
flipping on its side the chandelier snapping from its chain. and the coat hooks?
They snapped the screws getting lost in the water. I tried griping it but me and
Alina fell.
Plummeting into a living nightmare. probably 15 feet or so. I hit my head on the
window frame sliding into the water losing sight of Alina. The whole structure
going down into the river, debris getting picked up along the way. I grabbed onto
the cupboard handle and my eyes were darting around like crazy looking for Alina.
There she was I swam, weakly to the dining room. The ceiling crashed down. Our
mini corridor splashing into the water nearly killing me. I hooked my arm around
her body. I swam up to the surface. It felt like I was in a coma. Water was pushing,
and swirling around. Waves hitting my face. The foundation snapped.
"AHHHHHH." I screamed the house flipped onto its roof and the beams smashed
sending the floor hurtling down. The water pushed me off another 18-foot drop
with Alina, smashed through the ceiling falling onto the wall and smashing a
picture frame, I could see the blurred shards scattered on the wall. My arm burst
into pain, it snapped. I think and broke it. Alina was asleep. Resting on my one
good arm. I felt huge pain explosions in my left arm,"AHHH." I swam up letting
gravity take me to the surface. It was like a hurricane had struck. Suddenly a huge
boom echoed of the room. I could see a huge crack right in between the bedroom,
and living room. But no washroom! It was like the San Andreas fault, right now, at
this time, right in between our lives, and the room. We were going down next! I
grabbed onto the closet doorknob as the house started jerking vertically. I climbed
holding Alina in my one good arm. I rested my foot on the slippery doorknob.
Alina woke up. Her eyes glimmering off the water. “Alina," I snapped. “Alina, we
need to get out of her, NOW! She looked down, then instantly looked up. “I think I
have a broken arm, so you’re going to have to climb yourself." She nodded."
Where’s your duffel?" She asked. “Well......let’s just say I lost it when we fell.
“What about the flashlight? “She asked curiously “when somewhere and will never
come back, let’s just say that." I responded, looking down to the water. The house
was tipping we were at the top half of it. It was like finding your way through a
tangled, disoriented mess. I climbed up. Alina pushed my foot up a little and gave
me some strength to grab the next object. I griped a shelf supporter. Alina
followed. We then managed to make our way to the summit. I grabbed the window
ledge. Then again, Alina helped me up. Then she followed. We sat on the ledge. I
was thankful to sit, surprisingly. It felt like my legs were going to give out if I
swam any longer. The house creaked and the wind roared viciously. I knew we had
to be careful because the ledge was covered with water all over the surface. There
was nowhere to go. This is it. I looked down one last time as the house snapped.
The beams came loose. Nuts and bolts flinging everywhere. The house shifted and
the top part fell. Gravity was denied in this situation. We were falling. I slipped off
the board going up to the roof. Alina did to.
"Hold my hand Alina."
She nodded
"I will"
I smiled as we plummeted into the dark, raging water. We hit the ground hard
smashing through the wood. Going through, seven thousand layers of earth. That’s
right, we were in a good town, and we will always be. Hopefully someday,
someone, a very special person will find us, because we are in a good town.......
Kaylee Pinwild and Alina Emwua were found on Thursday, December 24, 1990. They were
immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where they are taken care of. Kaylee was in a coma,
she also had a dislocated arm and the arm seemed to be broken. Kaylee will recover in a week
or so. Alina went into a coma with no other injuries said. She will be awake and healthy running
by Tuesday, December 29, 1990. Friends and family gather around for help and care that’s
needed.
I woke up, everything was numb. I sat up looking at the hospital bed covers. Why
