ECCLESIASTES 3:1-4
There is a time for everything, and a season for every
activity under the heavens: a time to be born and a time
to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to
kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to
build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to
mourn and a time to dance…

Gifty, may you rest well with your Maker.

Rest in perfect peace. Amen.

To My Lovely Wife
On 15th April, 2003 i was posted to Worawora in the
Volta now Oti Region as Recruit Constable to start my
police career. Two days after my arrival that was (17th
April 2003) I met this beautiful young lady by name Gifty
Kamedie Obonsey whose funeral service we are all
witnessing today. Gifty was about to complete her
Senior High School, honestly i was scared to approach
her so i asked a senior colleague of mine by name Chief
inspector Sheriff to assist me to talk to her because I
could feel I'm in love with her. Mama Gifty, as i always
call her, didn't turn me down but rather accepted my
proposal two days after that was (19th April 2003). She
quickly introduced me to her parents and i did the
knocking ceremony and that was the start of our
beautiful love journey. Few years into our beautiful
relationship, my sweet Gifty gained admission into the

Hohoe Midwifery and upon her completion, we tied the knot and we were blessed with four children. Our
marriage was one of a kind, my late wife and I had our ups and downs but one thing for sure was at the end of day
we settled everything before the day ends and wake up in the morning as if nothing had happened.

Gifty was an affectionate, caring and supportive wife whom I built my life with and she stayed by my side
through thick and thin. She always ensured everyone was well taken care of. Words will not be enough to
describe my Gifty but I can only thank God for bringing such a virtuous and God-fearing woman into my life and
having wonderful children with her.

A very caring and understanding woman. If you find such a precious lady, then you will enjoy life to the fullest.
My departed wife was an amazing woman. I know my life will never be the same without her in it.Who am I
coming home to see after long day's work?who's our kids going to call mummy and play around with? who is going
to have a conversation with me after a hard day's work? Your death has broken me but I know you are resting in
the bosom of the Most High.

Thank you Gifty for sharing more than half of your lifetime with me by taking care of me and the children as well.
Only our Maker can repay you for all good work.
Mama Gifty, sleep well until we meet again.
I love you Gifty .
Rest In Paradise my sweet.

To Our Dearest Mum

Suddenly, the shades of evening gather round my lonely door.

Silently, they bring before me faces I shall see no more. Mama
Gifty was the name we used to call our mother since she was
an extraordinary woman who made sure there were always
people to take very good care of us till now and tried to give us
anything we requested for.

Your departure has created a huge vacuum in our hearts, but

her legacy of praying, reading the Bible and being a good
Christian will live on. Nobody can take our sweet mother's
place in our hearts. Mama Gifty is no more and Rose heart
Yeboah also known as Ngozi, Samuel Dzidula Aziapetor , Kofi
Asare Agyapong, and Princess Helena Adei Aziapetor are heart
broken but we know she is in a better place.

PSALM 46
God is our hope and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore will we not fear, though the earth be moved, and
though the hills be carried into the midst of the sea;

Farewell! Farewell, we shall meet in God's glory. Amen!!

TRIBUTE BY SISTERS
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, And there shall be no more death; neither sorrows nor
neither shall there be any more pain, for the Former things are passed away”. Rev. 21:4

It is with a deep sorrow and great sense of gratitude that we write this tribute. Oh truly our sister has done her
job as a vibrant woman. She was a heroine and a perfect example of a woman of substance and of strength.
Oh our dear sister, mere words cannot express our pain, sorrow and agony of losing you. Our grief is almost
unbearable because we miss you so much. We were really taken by surprise when we heard of your death. It has
been said, there is time for everyone to die. No one can escape death.

You were so dear to us that we shall never forget the memories of you. You loved and cared for almost everyone
who came to you with problems. You helped those you could. You were a loving and dedicated to us.

In fact, sister you left behind sorrow and deep wounds that would take time to be healed. The 25th February,
2023 will ever remain with us but we take consolation that this is the time the Almighty God needs you in heaven
than we do have. Now that you are gone we know that you are on the right hand with your maker.
Sister Fare thee well.
Sister rest in perfect peace.
We shall meet again in the bossom of God.

“When Peace like a River attendenth my way,

When sorrows like sea billows roll,
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say
It is well, it is well with my soul.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For just as the heavens are
higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thought”. (Isaiah 55:8-9)

The Late Ms. Gifty Kamedie Obonsey, whose solemn Burial Service we are all witnessing today, was first appointed as
a Staff Midwife on 15th October, 2014 after successfully completing Midwifery Training School at Ho.

9th June 2021. At Tema General Hospital, she worked at the OBS. & Gynae Department precisely the Ante-natal Clinic.
Ms. Obonsey rose through the ranks to Midwifery Officer of the Nursing & Midwifery Profession until her untimely

BY TEMA GENERAL HOSPITAL - ANTENATAL CLINIC (ANC)

Why should we weep, when the weary ones rest in the bosom of Jesus Supreme.
In the mansion of glory prepared for the blest? For death is no more than a dream (Jimmie Davis 1968).

Gifty as we affectionately called her, joined Team ANC in the year 2022, due to her lovely and hardworking
nature, she created a strong bond with all team members, doctors and the clients as well.
After under studying what is been done at Antenatal Clinic. She was put in charge of the doctor's consulting
room, which she carried her duties professionally. She made sure she accompanies clients' who are going on
admission on the ward.

Gifty didn't only stay in the doctor's consulting room, due to her hardworking native, she extended a helping
hand to other team members who needs help by checking fetal heart rates, palpating and assessment to ease
the workload on staff. She was someone who accepted her mistakes and tried to adjust herself.

On the Friday, thus a day to her demise, Gifty was seen all over the place in a joyful mood giving talk to clients,
asking them to be patience when their midwives ask the, to see the doctor. Gifty was so happy she was been
promoted to the rank of a midwifery officer and told us she will also wear white dress soon; little did we know
she will be existing this stage of life so soon.
Gifty we have cried enough now we wish this was a dream or rumour we are trying so much into terms with
your sudden departure.

We will understand it better by and by rest well, our friend, hardworking and respectful team member.
You will forever be part of our memories.
